The Pearl Street Parking Garage is a hidden gem. Despite its proximity to downtown, this one tends to be uncrowded. The reason why it doesn't draw crowds is that it's right beside construction. The Napa Center is getting a complete overhaul, so people park elsewhere. It's a short walk from Main Street businesses, and one can see some of Napa's urban parks. For a parking garage, it's pleasant.

Free free free parking all day. No overnight, allegedly. But instead of having to move your car every so often, you can stuff it here while you explore this wonderful city. The garage is right near downtown Napa and certainly within walking distance of all the major sites.

No meters, no gates, not much lighting. I did spot a public toilet not far away. And coffee.

Be careful using this garage on weekends. They have free parking in limited time windows but a lot of people think its free all day if you misread the sign. Then you come out to a "surprise" $50 parking ticket. I found their weekend parking to be very deceptive and sure if you live in Boulder you know better but for someone from out of town it's easy to get a $50 ticket and then if you don't pay in 14 days its a $15 add-on.

I've been here about 15 mins, I found this parking garage from Yelp so I decided to check it out. Its closer to where I'd end up anyways in town to catch the highway the rest of the way to Rohnert Park.
My cat & I needed to stop for a little bit to get out of the heat & Sun, plus I've got Cuboid Syndrome in my foot(dislocated bone that connects ur 2 smallest toes to ur ankle) need to rest my foot before the winding journey the rest of the way...
I pull in & Before I even gotten to the end of the floor level, a white SUV is right on my back bumper. I can see him in my rear view, he's a young man early 20's at best, blonde hair, probably pretty tall and Sim, wearing a blue polo shirt. He's just really irritated that I exist it seems like. I've never been here before and I accidentally went up to the top floor. I had no idea it was valet only. So without irritating this young man behind me any further, rather than stopping to turn around and really destroy his day.. I continue through and was going to find a clear spot to turn around and come back down.
While I was trying to turn up into the valet level, he burned out behind me. We lock eyes in my side view mirror and I was about to slow down more not reward his bad behavior but he threw his car in reverse and parked at the opening of the valet section.
So I continued until there was an open space to turn around. I stopped for a moment cuz while trying to get out of his way my phone slid off my console into the back seat somewhere. So I went to grab it before it ended up lost forever. I got it & went down the same way I came up. As I was headed back to the entrance to that level, I see the blonde kid walking out to me.. so this makes me put together that he must be the valet & I'm assuming he was coming to tell me I couldn't be there and it was valet only and probably ask me if I was too dumb to read the signs or something because he had an attitude- obviously, the whole time.
However it's just so happened to work out that he was halfway out to me before I even noticed him and I was already gone. So luckily it was only me he looked stupid in front of walking out there all puffed up for nothing. which I find his hostile and attempted intimidation tactics really unprofessional for no reason. All I did was come to park my car for a few minutes and Ive never been here before so I don't know the layout and there's so many weird signs about compact parking and no signs for regular parking but valet parking has labels everywhere. So ur really caught up in trying to find an actual parking spot but by the time u notice there's a whole floor for valet you've already missed ur chance to turn around and if he works here he should probably know that. Burning out behind patrons because they're not going fast enough for u is also unprofessional because if they crash into a car because ur trying to hurry them up and intimidate them by burning out and revving ur engine, ur going to be part of that liability and that's an employee that really doesn't look good at all.
I will say though he had absolutely no problem with the mustang coming in here shortly after I got back down to the first level. This mustang almost hit me cuz he came in so fast and then proceeded to burn out up every level and back down and Mr Valet Kid had no problems..they must be friends
