Perfect Hardwood Floors

Part 1 - (We have Hai do a split work for us due to our renovations) We are very pleased with Hai's work in our bedrooms. He is professional and came in on time for our free in home consultation. He was very responsive and his price was very reasonable. He got us on his schedule right away, which is perfect for our move in date. At first he put a semi gloss shine on our floor and I was not satisfied with it but after I spoke with Hai and he understood my concerns he immediately resolved it by putting another gloss layer on it. I love our new refinished bedroom floors! He also fixed the old and rundown wood to make the floor even and more presentable. I can't wait until Hai finishes our whole house! :) I will send another review after the part 2 work. So far so good and I will definitely recommend Perfect Hardwood Floors to all my friends and family.

Hai is an absolute pro.

After 7 wonderful years, a long-term tenant (and her 7-year-old golden retriever) decided to purchase a home and move out. During the inspection, we noted heavy damage from dog nails and thus my search for hardwood floor refinishing began.

The Yelp request-a-quote feature had 4-5 people at my doorstep in less than a week to bid on the work. A few people showed up late, and some no-showed me completely, but Hai was 5 min early, prompt with his discovery, knew my flooring type (maple and cherry), recommended the correct finish (water-based no color), and provided me with a bid that offered a superior product - at less than his competition.

Not only was he able to repair some areas that were damaged by water, but he also came back and added an extra coat of finish to make sure I was happy with the final product.

I would recommend Hai for any hardwood job, and will happily use him in the future to install and refinish my floors.

Hai and his team do beautiful work. You can see obviously see that in the photos.

Beyond that though, I'd like to offer a technical perspective: I've been a general contractor for 20+ years and have personally refinished over a dozen hardwood floors. So I can tell that Hai did everything with exceptional quality, including things that non-contractors might not notice.

1.) The poly he used is the highest quality on the market, despite it being more expensive for him. I know because I've researched them all, and I use the same brand myself.

2.) He filled gaps and re-sanded before the final coat. Many other contractors skip this because it takes extra labor and the benefits aren't immediately obvious.

3.) He hand-sanded every corner, down to the finest grit leaving no marks at all. For the living room, that's not a big deal. But Hai also did a staircase for me (not pictured), and each step has multiple corners.

4.) And his pricing was quite competitive. So overall, I'd highly recommend Perfect Hardwood Floors.

PS: a pro tip, I'd suggest getting a 3rd coat of poly. It costs extra, but will increase the final durability even more.

I was incredibly impressed with Hai's hardwood flooring job and cannot recommend him highly enough. From a reasonable quote, extremely responsive communication, and a fast and efficient installation service, I am very happy with the experience. I am usually skeptical of working with someone without a personal referral, but I did not know anyone who had laid new hardwood floors and had to use Yelp to find and source initial quotes. My project was particularly tricky because I was looking for someone to take on a single carpeted room and try to match the rest of our home's hardwood, but Hai was willing to work with us and provided an excellent finished product. I highly recommend working with him!

Hai got back to me very quickly with a competitive estimate, and the ability to do a small refinishing job the next day (!). His work is beautiful, he's punctual, and very professional. He and his colleague cleaned everything up and minimized dust. I would happily recommend him to others, and I'd work with him again for a bigger project

Hai is excellent at making old dull stained floors sparkle again. He gives a Great value for the fair prices he charges. He refinished for me about 1100sq ft of floors stained with cat urine and made them look brand new. I highly recommend this Company.

Hai is no nonsense and nose to the grindstone.
Refreshing that he got right down to business without a ton of chatter. I hired him on the spot because he was on time and professional and I just could tell he was the real deal. And he turned out to be. I'm not always right, by the way.... ;)

Floors look amazing . Replaced some boards and got rid of those which was water damaged. The finish is smooth as silk. Floors from the 1940s were old and really damaged. He knows his business.

Got the color right as well. Listens and wants to please. Efficient and hard working. Much respect for this team of two and he will do another home for me very soon.

They had great reviews and I wanted to work with them, but they never replied to my inquiry through Yelp and it has been more than a week since I sent it.

I bought a new place and needed to refinish the wood floors as the walnut wood was sun bleached around the carpets. I messaged Hai and confirmed an in person consultation/quote. He showed up on time and made recommendations on the floor. He emailed a quote within a few hours and was able to get started on the project within two days. It was a five day project and he worked over a weekend as he knew turnaround time was important to me. I really appreciated Hai's reliability, timeliness and communication in the process. I would recommend Hai to my friends.

Hai provided me a written and verbal quote after coming by to see the job. He and he business associate did an excellent job in one of our building's units. They were scheduled to start at 10am, showed up on the nose and got to work. They were fast and efficient and did an amazing job! The floors are just what we wanted.

I would give Hai 10 stars if I could! First, he's a man of his word - he was on time or early for each of our meetings. The job was booked a few weeks in advance and he started and finished a day early. The quality is amazing and he was flexible in adding a few new items to the mix, including completely rebuilding a landing inside the back door that didn't match the oak flooring and was aging horribly. He also patched a hole in a closet floor and you'd never know it had been there. I think my before-and-after photos speak for themselves: Hai is a magician! (Some of the photos look like the floor tint changed, but that's just the photos)
