Permalla Dental Care

First off, I have major anxiety when having dental procedures done. Permalla and her team did their best to fully explain what I was to expect when getting my crown replaced, and helped me stay calm during the procedure. I feel confident that I'm in good hands here.

My husband had a 4 star experience however my visit experience was a disaster. My number one concern is that the office lacked a human connection. I let the receptionist know that the music was too loud for me and waited outside for the hygienist to be ready. I immediately told Adrian that the music was too loud due to my disability of hearing impairment with noise sensitivity. I told Billie and I told Dr Permalla as well yet not one of them offered to turn the music down. At the end of an hour appointment, I was told I'd have to return for the cleaning. They give me mean girl vibes.

Dr. Permalla and her gentle hands are the best! She's also extremely smart. Thanks Dr. Permalla!

I have been terrified of dental work for years, but then I met Dr. Permalla! Dr. Permalla is warm, gentle, and brilliant. Going into this office is like entering the home of kind friends. I highly recommend the practice!!

Dr. Permalla is both professional and warm. I was apprehensive about some fillings on receding gums. She thoroughly explained everything making sure I was completely comfortable before proceeding with the work. I am very happy with the outcome. Grateful to have a dentist that I trust.

I love everyone that works here! I have never had a bad experience. I take my son there as well and he loves it. They make you feel really comfortable and are very gentle. They have all kinds of ways to make you feel calm and relaxed. I have really bad anxiety at the dentist and they always make sure I'm completely comfortable.

I couldn't be more pleased with this practice. I trust Dr. Permalla completely. She explains things well, is pro-active in her treatments and seems on top of all the lastest dental technology. Her assistants are all similarly skilled and pleasant. Even the office is well run and very efficient.
Lastly the space itself feels very open and tastefully decorated.
She is so highly regarded that you may have to wait for an opening but it will be well worth it.

I had the very good fortune of meeting and having Dr Permalla perform some dentistry on me back when she was working to get her accreditation to practice in the US when she was a resident at UCSF Buchanan Dental School. That has been almost 20 years ago and my dental work looks as good today as it did the day she completed it and has been functional with no further problems. Every dentist that I've seen since, has commented on the beautiful crowns on my 4 front teeth. Dr Permalla is an artist and a consummate professional. Anyone would be fortunate to have her taking care of their smile.

It was hard to change dentists after going to the same one in Marin for so many years. So selecting a new dentist closer to home was going to be a challenge. I found Dr. Permalla after doing a lot of research.

In October of 2019 it will be two years with her office. She has a delightful office and staff. Everything is up to date. The artwork and ambience are charming. This I mention because it is a first impression.
The office is totally accessible which we do not need at this time but is important to know.

Mary is my hygienist now and I really enjoy my time with her. She is extremely gentle and thorough. I go for cleanings three times per year as I find this keeps my teeth in better condition. Dr. Permalla checks in with me on the visits and although I have not needed her for dental work I feel confident she would be excellent.

I would recommend Dr. Permalla to anyone who is looking for an excellent experience with an advanced dental office.

Worries about needles, no problem here.

Today I went in for some dental work during which time, it was required that I have some numbing injects prior to my procedure.

I have always been worried about needles, I hate them, I hate them a lot.

The great thing about Permalla,Besides the exquisite interior, courteous staff, TV that you can watch while you have your work done is this......

They have a numbing gel that they apply to your gums prior to getting the numbing injection!! Talk about a great experience! This removed all of my preconceived notion's of getting a numbing injection and how painful they are.

My procedure was completed ahead of schedule and I had post-op pain. I think they have a magic formula for one of the best dental offices I've ever seen! Great work Permalla Dental, keep it up!
