Pest Med

Beware!! Rip off! I contacted them about a wasp removal service. The original quoted range was $125 to $450 (see screen shot attached). When I talked to the guy on the phone and I described the issue (wasp nests under the roof, there's 3 small ones I can see), he said the range is 100-400 but for the job I described probably on the lower end, maybe around 200. When Joshua came to the house the guy said it will cost $850 and if we don't want the service it's a $150 fee for just showing up. My husband countered him for $450, which he accepted immediately. I still feel this is an unreasonable rip off! Charging twice the price of the high end of the quote!!! And our house is single story (not even very high at all), so how much more "tricky" than originally described can it get!? Absolutely unreasonable. I would not recommend this company to any one!!

Each year, our rental gets hordes of ants. This is the second year we've used PestMed. They did such a great job last summer, and we did not see any ants return for the rest of the year.

The office staff is very friendly, kind, courteous, and helpful. We were able to schedule an appointment within 5 business days.

We received a text message to confirm the appointment 3 days in advance, and another day-of when our technician was on the way. This gave us plenty of time to prepare our house for the most efficient and timely service (removing all hanging items like towels, robes, etc., lifting curtains, putting away food items, moving furniture that can be moved away from the walls, and moving all outside things against the house away from the walls.

Michael was dispatched to our house, and he was the nicest, warmest, most genuine person that you could ask for. He was patient with my questions, and super courteous and polite. He even asked if he should remove his shoes upon entering!

He completed the indoor and outdoor treatment efficiently and thoroughly. Safety was of utmost concern, and when doing the outdoor treatment, he requested that I wait in my car to protect me from spray / fumes.

Afterwards, he told me everything was finished, and that I could return in 4 hours. The whole treatment process took less than an hour.

I cannot say enough great things about PestMed. Thank you, Michael, for keeping us ant-free this year!

I had contacted them for rodent issue. They were quick to respond and come out and set the traps and retrieve them, but the inspection rep did not do a thorough job of checking the rest of the house and simply focused on the area of concern. I had to switch companies to get a more thorough check and exclusion done. Michael however was understanding of this situation and was quick to process the refund for the issue.

Spoke with Michael, he was able to come out same day and take care of our issue! Good customer service and reliable ! Pricing is fair as well!

PestMed was recommended to me by a friend. I loved the teams honesty and competitive pricing. We live in a condo that is beautifully shaded by massive olive trees and other gorgeous landscape. Which leads to nature invading our deck and entryway. When pestmed learned it was a condo, they shared concerns of not treating the entire building. I appreciated their honesty. They came out, and we saw immediate improvement. I found them to be customer focused and quick to respond. Will call again.

This is an update to my review that I posted about a year and a half ago. I've been using PestMed on a quarterly basis and ever since I started using their service, we now have zero ants in the house. Every hot summer here in San Jose. We always get a lot of ants in the kitchen. I got so bad 2 years ago where it was spreaded throughout the entire house.

Josh from PestMed came by today and did another quarterly spray for us. Super nice guy. Very easy to talk to and very professional.

Since I've been using them for a while, I have referred two of my friends with their service and they have reported to me that they have zero ants during the summer time. I guess summertime is when the ants come out of the ground when it's too hot for them.

After leaving this review, I'm happy to report that the company contacted me about my concerns with the cost of my service. They sent someone out to reassess what had been done and refunded me $600. I think this price more accurately represents the work that I had done (plus the 1-year warranty). This is a good example of the power of Yelp!

I was impressed with the company's professionalism and by their genuine concern that I was happy.

No more rat noise in my attic, so they did a good job.
