I found this place after some heavy research and have found a true gem. The salon is welcoming, clean, and very professional - I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 minutes before getting started. It has a feel of a high-end salon, but treats you like a small town shop.

Niki is absolutely amazing and everything I was looking for in getting a regular haircut. Beyond the fact that she is extremely good at what she does, I always feel like I'm chatting with an old friend when I sit down. Always attentive, asking questions, and checking in, I feel like I am her favorite customer every trip. And my haircut has been wife-approved every time I come home so I know I'm walking away looking good!

I would give 6 stars if I could!! This is easily the best haircut experience I've had since moving to California nearly a decade ago. Keep up the good work!

I've only had two cuts with Jesy but I'm hooked!
She really is a "pixie specialist" and just GETS short hair - although I'm sure she does everything else well too.
The salon is cute and relaxed and I'm glad I found it!

This is a super cute, delightful salon. Very knowledgeable hair dressers, super professional and accommodating. If you have questions about color, cuts, grow-outs, they can help! Also, they will give it to you straight, no false hope, or promising miracles that don't actually deliver. Come here if you'd like a friendly, professional environment with efficient service at a VERY reasonable price.

I have been getting my hair cut for here for many years after searching high and low for a place to get my haircut after my salon closed. Max always does a great job and the staff are so nice and friendly.

I'm not the girliest of girls. I kinda don't love getting my haircut. I drag on and on until I look really ragged, and then I make the appointment. So, I have some quirks when it comes to a right hair stylist for me.

For one, I need someone who understands my no fussness and will give me a good hair cut that can look good even as it grows a bit. They have to understand that I am not going to 'do' my hair other than shampoo and condition it, so give me a cut that works with that. And they have to deal with a little bit of "I have no idea what I want - can you help me with that?"

I've gone to Nikki a few times now, and she does all that for me.

And beyond that, I also have some PTSD from some previous stylists from the conversational or social standpoint. I've had a stylist that after going to them once, wanted to give me a hug and told me that they missed me soooooo much. ....It seemed a bit manipulative and fake -- You don't even know me, dude, how can you miss me. And then I've had stylists where we just have absolutely nothing to talk about and it's just awkward silence the whole time.

With Nikki, she seems like a real person and isn't trying to be my fake best friend. I appreciate that. Conversation is easy and the time goes by fast. There is something about the 'salon' world that can be kind of pretentious. This place and Nikki are down to earth and easy. And honestly, that's really important to me.

So if those things are important to you too, check em out. I always come out of there feeling cleaned up and freshened up. Online appointment system is also great, and usually they have appointments within the week. Another important one considering I usually make an appointment at 11:30 at night. :P

I have Nikki cut my hair once a month. I schedule my next appointment at the end of the current appointment. Nikki is nice and does a great job. They wash your hair here which is nice and relaxing. I don't like going to barbers because I tell them to cut an inch off and they cut three off. Nikki listens to what you want to have done and if you like what she did she writes down the measurements of your hair style and you'll get the same haircut next time. She's very professional and the price at Petaluma Hair Co. is very reasonable.

I'm very hesitant with getting my hair done. I've had products put in my hair that make it look lifeless and the style worse (as well as ruining the work I've put into repairing my hair). I've also had horrible experiences with stylists who just ruin my hair and I'm stuck with it until it grows out.

Ashley was my stylist and she was PHENOMENAL! It wasn't a super intricate change, but it was exactly what I was looking for. She's very gentle, and was so careful knowing my fears of having my slow growing hair cut. she took the perfect amount off the ends, framed my face, and didn't over do my fringe and I'm grateful! after my hair dried and became wavy, it didn't look short. I even had to double check she took a few inches off because it still has the length I've been working to maintain.

a bigger plus was that I didn't realize that this salon uses the products that rescued my hair during the pandemic. Ashley used products I had been curious about but wasn't sure if the $$ was worth trying it in my hair! I'm a HUGE fan of R+Co and what their products have done to regrow and revive my hair over the years.

I recommend this salon so highly. I look forward to booking with them again to keep my style!

I've had my haircut from Petaluma Hair Co. about 4-5 times and I've always had a great cut and experience. But I had to write a review and give a shoutout to Nikki who did my cut today. I never really know how to express what I want but I just showed her some photos and gave her a little idea of what I thought I wanted and she exceeded my expectations.
