Q:
How much is the veggie chow mein small?
A:
They have one size for chow mein. I also do not see veggie version on the menu (chicken/ beef/ shrimp), but for reference, price ranges from $10.50 - 11.

I was really happy with Pho Le. The curb appeal didn't give me high expectations, and the service was a little slow on a Wednesday, but the pho was excellent! And the inside was decently nice as well.
Really enjoyed the smooth and tasty broth and perfectly textured rice noodles. Our table had the thin rare steak and well done brisket, chicken, and beef stew pho soups. All excellent!
Wanted to try something besides noodles and the chicken and Napa cabbage dumplings were a great compliment to the meal. They could use a little salt though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Renate V.El Cerrito, CA11411360Jun 19, 2024
Ordered two beef stew noodle soups, Singaporean noodles and pong pong wings.
The soups were OK. The broth was not as rich as I would have liked, but tasted good, though the meat was skimpy and somewhat dry. There should have been some tendon. They also gave us no herbs and sprouts. That was a problem!
The noodles were dry and there were clumps of them stuck together. It was as if we got leftovers that were stuck to the pot. Definitely didn't taste like they were stir-fried for us. The quantity of protein was OK, though in very small pieces. The dish was, well, tired.
The pong pong wings were very good. Deep-fried and in a sauce, though we ordered them "seasoned," and not "sauced." Maybe there is always sauce? The sauce is sweet and heavy, so you can't eat too many.
Maybe it was an off night.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 14, 2024
Pretty good pho and rice. Not the best, but does the job if you're hungry. The pho is tastes clean and not too overpowering. I also got the pineapple rice. Tasty but more on the bland side. The fried chicken wings were good, but had a salty seasoning.
Quiet clean restaurant. The thing that makes this place stand out is the really friendly and hospitable service.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 2, 2024
Came here for dinner with friends on a Friday night and had a great time! The restaurant wasn't too busy so we got a nice booth. Service was fast and attentive.
We ordered a bunch of dishes including:
- mapo tofu
- pineapple fried rice
- sesame chicken
- pong pong chicken
- vegetable deluxe
- mongolian beef
Everything tasted good and flavorful. Nothing really stood out though, and it didn't seem the most authentic. However the meal was still very enjoyable and I love that they give fortune cookies too!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Feb 4, 2024
I joined a colleague for lunch here after searching on Yelp for middle place to meet between Oakland and Richmond. The reviews were decent so there we were.
So, the menu is a mixture of everything Asian from Pho to Thai soups, to " American " Chinese dishes. Now, one of my favorite appetizers is crispy shrimp rolls. You know the shrimp is simply rolled in a wrapper, deep fried, and served with chili sauce. So, I ordered them, Crispy Shrimp Roll, Spicy Thai Shrimp soup, Pong-Pong fish, and my colleague added Beef Pho.
So, the shrimp rolls came out first and I immediately noticed they weren't made like I normally have had them. There were no shrimp tails hanging out of a wrapper. These were cones and after inspection and taste, it was clear that these were made of chopped shrimp and some filling. I mean, after the first one, the second one I picked up was void of shrimp. Next, Thai Spicy shrimp soup, the flavor was good, a nice spice, and of course I added more chili oil( because I like my nose running while eating lol). I didn't understand the baby corn in the soup but I didn't complain as it was a vegetable. 1 star for the soup. Now, Pong-Ping is sweet! Sweet fish-ok. I could get over that but I didn't think the fish was going to be that thick breaded deep fried fish( brought in bulk) and soaked in that sweet sauce. Not my cup of tea at all!
The restaurant is clean. The customer service was good. And, metered parking, is easy on the street. The location is easy to find - right on Gilman and San Pablo.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 2, 2023
It's always such a good feeling to go to a nondescript restaurant and feel so comforted. Not sure what they do, but the food made me feel so loved like a big warm hug.
The veggie noodle soup was well flavored and packed full of veggies. The fresh thick noodles were deeeeliciously silky and smooth. I also loved their dumplings! They were very clearly hand wrapped, and their wrappers were just the right amount of chewiness without being too thick. It was like my Goldilocks dumpling!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 20, 2023
Drove by this place many times, but finally stopped by to check it out.
Arrived on a Saturday afternoon and there was only two other tables full, pretty vacant I thought. One would think the service was fast, but for reason the food took super long to come out, even for the person who was seated prior to me.
The food was good overall. Got the beef combo Pho and it was flavorful, well proportioned, and everything tasted fresh. Also got the Pong Pong chicken, it was yummy, basically fried chicken with a tangy sauce on it. It was really good when fresh, but I took the remainder home, by then it got soggy.
In addition, I got a beef chow fun and Singapore fried rice. These are both solid dishes.
Overall, good experience and the staff is friendly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 30, 2024
This place was a bit confusing. A mash up of Thai Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. The service was good. The Thai style shrimp soup was probably the best part of the meal. I'm not sure why there was so much baby corn inside. We went during lunch it was not crowded. Nothing fancy or memorable about this place.

I have dined here several times so here is a list of some of the items I have ordered and my opinion on them.
War wonton w eggs noodles
Chicken pho
Steak pho
Pineapple fried rice
Wings
Chicken dumplings
The War Wonton soup broth is unique in its flavor and it's a combination of wonton with various proteins I add egg noodles to this soup for an extra touch.
I have also had their traditional chicken or steak pho which is just as great of a soup.
A must try is their pineapple fried rice which is a dish that I completely rave about probably some of the best fried rice I have ever had.
Wings were good just okay though nothing special and I don't think k would order them again.
Chicken dumplings are yummy super it's a basic dish but I really enjoyed them after a good workout more of a healthier option here.
Service is good and bad lol it varies and depends on who is working honestly but typically it's fine and overall people are nice here!
Small restaurant no designated parking, be careful where you park sketchy neighborhood and don't leave anything visible in your car.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 9, 2023
This place is a gem! We were looking for a new pho place after being disappointed a few times and Pho Le did not disappoint. The broth was flavorful, a good ratio of noodles to protein, and the price was reasonable. We also ordered the beef stew w/noodles and dumplings, both which were equally delicious. The dumplings are fresh, and had an excellent texture and taste. Paired with the dipping sauce they are divine.
My kiddos and I love pho so we will be back to try other things on the menu.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
