When you arrive you order first and get a number and find a table. There was someone who greeted us and went over the menu and will help with getting your table.
Dan Dan Noodles: yummy peanut sauce with noodles and cucumbers, overall delicious. I wished I could add some chicken to the dish, but unfortunately it wasn't an option. Still delicious nonetheless.
Beef Roll: this roll is delicious. Crispy outside somewhat like roti flatbread, and the beef is deliciously flavorful with fresh long slivers of cucumber.
Taiwanese sausage: this is a small side, but I wanted some protein since I didn't get it in my noodle dish. The sausage is sliced and comes with thinly sliced garlic. It's really good, and a nice addition.
Drinks: They have beer wine and sake. I ordered sake, recommended by the cashier and it was refreshing and yummy. My boyfriend tried the Taiwanese beer and also enjoyed it.
Overall we really enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious and not overpriced. The staff were also very friendly and helpful since it was our first visit. We will definitely be going back to try more of their food items!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Abby R.College Park, Conroe, TX02014Sep 8, 2024
We thought we'd love Pine and Crane, which supposedly has the same team behind it as Joy. We were wrong.
The three cup jidori chicken tasted purely of soy sauce, nothing more or less, and bites which had spicy peppers were overwhelmingly spicy. I hoped the dish would have garlic flavors, but instead there were just whole cloves of garlic thrown in the sauce...not good. The beef roll was just ok, it mostly tasted like cucumber. The beef noodle soup was also nothing special, it wasn't very flavorful.
We try to avoid consuming heated plastic and/or aluminum foil because both have bad effects on health. We called and asked what container our desired items would be packaged in for take-out and were told a paper box - the items were in paper boxes, but with a layer of aluminum foil between the food and the paper, so the food is essentially packaged in aluminum. Just throwing that out there for those who are health-conscious and want to avoid aluminum.
Highly recommend to go to Joy instead - all paper packaging and the food is MILES better. I think it's even a bit less expensive than P&C!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Joanne T.Los Angeles, CA1461Sep 1, 2024
I personally think the food is not too tasty but compared to the other spots in Silverlake its decently priced. Service is great and I especially like the ordering system where you order in advance at the front and wait at your table. The ambiance is quite nice and has a trendy crowd.
Street parking only, gets quite busy at night.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 4, 2024
This place saved me when I had jaw surgery and couldn't chew properly since a lot of the food is soft and braised. Very humble and homey restaurant with reasonable prices and good vibes overall!
Pork Mapo Tofu: 10/10 -- This dish hits different. The sauce is thick, packed with rich flavor and clings to the silky tofu. The pork adds another dimension of savory to the dish.
Three Cup Chicken: 8/10 -- Not a fan of the big slices of ginger that mask as chicken, but the chicken was infused with great flavor from the sesame oil, soy sauce, and rice wine.
Basil Eggplant: 2/10 -- Biased since I usually don't order eggplant, but there was no flavor at all

This location is a lot smaller than the DTLA location, but the service here is far better! The people that work here checked in on how food was and gave us extra rice to pack to go for the leftoversHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 15120Jul 20, 2024
Yummy and unique food! Lots of great vegan options! It's very busy and there can be a wait, but once you sit down, your food comes out insanely fast. I think if this place was not hyped up so much I would rate it a 5, but my expectations were very high.
I ordered the vegan scallion pancake, dan dan noodles, basil eggplant, peanut salad, and bok choy dumplings. The basil eggplant was delicious and came with a side of fresh rice. The Dan Dan noodles had a nice creamy peanut sauce, but to be honest, I think we're too hyped up. The dumplings had a great homemade wonton and came with a yummy sauce, but there was a herb or spice aftertaste that I did not love. The scallion pancake was only OK - I prefer them to be thinner and more flaky. I would skip the peanut salad- not the best and literally just peanuts with herbs. The mapo tofu is very popular, but I did not have a chance to try it. My non-vegan partner ordered the jidori chicken, which he enjoyed. Overall, I would definitely come at least once to try.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 30, 2024
From the moment you walk in, this place is a whole vibe. Gorgeous minimalist interior decoration, flowing right into the outdoor cityscape of the nice part of downtown LA. The indoor outdoor feel of the space is welcoming and refreshing. The service is incredibly quick and the food is delicious, especially the Beef Roll, and Dan Dan noodles. The drinks are also a hit, only wish I took more pictures.

Really yummy! It's like eating at a local Taiwanese spot. Everything was delicious, light & refreshing. The cold salad choices all looked delicious. We opted for the fungus mushroom one and it was soo good. The dan dan noodles were our favorite. I wish they incorporated more spice into the dishes but there is chili oil available to add to your liking on the tables.
We were able to order and get seated within 5 minutes.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kendall P.Los Angeles, CA0104Sep 17, 2024Updated review
Great food! I got a lot of different things on the menu. I'm the picture is the spicy peanuts which were pretty good but the pork dumplings also visible in the picture were very delish.

Really good food and in a good spot in the mix of the main strip of silver lake and super color vibe on the inside. Super affordable pricing too it's really hard to find some good food for that price point in this area so it's definitely worth the bite. I had a few things but most notably the jidori chicken was amazing. They had a few things that they ran out of stock on but our other option we ended up getting were still good. Now into the shit, the line was horrendous. Thankfully there was a very kind face that greeted us when we entered but passed that the service was miserable. If you need extra plates and utensils , you would need to get up yourself alone with getting a hold of your waiter is impossible because of the way they had everything set up. Passed that, when I get a hold of my waiter or someone they talked to me liked a rich kid who just got done with their classes at USC and didn't get the wire from daddy this weekend.

We were in the Silverlake area and we were craving some Chinese food so decided to come here for dinner and none of us were impressed. I think the vibes and aesthetic are the main attracting features, but I've had far better Chinese food elsewhere. The food tasted very Americanized and was overall pretty bland.
I'm honestly surprised by how busy it gets. You order at the counter and grab a table, but you may have to wait a bit for a table to open up. I noticed a lot of people ordered to-go. We wanted to cut the beef roll into smaller pieces so everyone in our party could try a piece but they didn't even have any knives when we asked.
There's street parking a couple blocks down if you're patient enough. Overall, we were quite disappointed with the quality of the food. Although the food was mediocre, I will say that the prices are quite reasonable especially for the area.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
