Love this bakery that comes to Stonestown Farmer's Market. We arrived right around 9:10am and there was a 5-10 minute line.

Got one ham & egg ($7) and one chocolate croissant ($6). The ham and egg had a delicious, flaky crust. But I wished I had waited until I got home where I could warm it up in the oven, because the egg was a bit unpleasant when it was cold. Haven't had a chance to eat the chocolate croissant yet but it looks delicious!

      Chocolate croissant $6
Ham & Egg $7. Took one bite before I remembered to take the picture.

Your "buttery carbs" stall of the farmers market. This place has been at Stonestown Market for YEARS. Typically has long lines and sells out before the farmer market closes out.

Their loaves are affordable and the puff pastry is really crispy! Most memorable is their Mushroom Danish was good! However I don't buy their non-loaves of bread breads often, just too pricey for what feels like 4 or so bites into room temperature puff pastry coupled with a long wait.

Looks like they've changed their appearance slightly and their name from Portside to Sausilito Portside. Cookies & staff are still the same. Stonestown market has more vendors now and more crowded. Nice to shop and hear music entertainment every Sunday.

Portside Bakery had a wondrous mix of Breads Buns & Pastries at the Stonestown Farmers Market.
The booth was very busy but I waited my turn for a yummy Elote Danish.

So happy I found this bakery one recent morning at the Marin Farmers Market. We thought the bread looked good, but once we got it home we all devoured it in one day. So much like Tartine's country bread, we probably won't feel the need to go into SF very often. We also had a plain croissant and one other pastry that were both amazing. Very friendly guys working that morning, too. This place will be a regular stop for me each Sunday. morning. If you like bread and pastries, this is the place to go!

Baked goods that are above average and worth checking out.

They have above average almond croissants and their cream filled croissant horn is pretty good too.

Their Palmier cookie was NOT good, however. It was super dry and hard and not flaky or crispy. My friend had to chew it like bark.

My croissants were good though, so I'd recommend this if you're in the area, but don't go out of your way for it.

Such a cute bakery in the Stonestown farmer's market on Sundays! Rain or shine they are baking and churning out yummy pastries and puffins, which remind me of cruffins-remember when those were a thing? The blood orange chocolate puffin was a nice surprise, wasn't too big of a fan of the cream as it ended up on the bottom of the bag however there's a first for everything, and I'm looking forward to trying more of their creative pastries (i.e pear yuzu danish, chocolate hazelnut danish, pistachio bostock).

So this little bakery originated from Sausalito,CA is quite unique. My Yelper friend Elaine raves about this place and so I finally managed to swing by this little Stonestown Farmers market at 12:30pm. Normally they would be sold out during end of day, but luckily due to possible rain later tonight, there were still some pastries and loafs left. I picked the butter croissant for $5 and a Puffin $7 which is a hybrid of a croissant and cream puff combination which was interesting. It wasn't too sweet so that was good. It had a nice chocolate piece on top of the cream and a slice of blood orange inside that gave it a nice mild. Blood orange flavor. All in all very nice. I wouldn't mind coming back to try their other pastries! :-)

Trying a croissant and a puffin? Long lines might as well try something
Blood Orange puffin was different and butter crossiant

Today I got two puffins. There was the typical line but spotted a friend in line who insisted I get in line with her. Saved 15 minutes.

The puffins were light and airy. And plenty of creamy filling.

      A sure winner.
