      Updated review

      Just an update:

The retail unit previously occupied by Office Depot is now a Decathlon sporting equipment store. Other than that, this spot is your one stop for about anything.
From 24 Hour Fitness for your workout sessions and Safeway for your grocery run, you got it.

I think the employees try, but this Safeway is really REALLY understaffed.
I wish the manager all the luck in the world.

Its funny how people give it a one star five star I give it 4 stars because it has all the shopping and all the little lunch places coffee shops Petco sprint down below lots of parking upstairs downstairs.
Down below it is kind of dark they have a 24 hour fitness which smells like chlorine downstairs, but be advised don't walk away leave your car you will get a $40 ticket. Well when I'm here I go to Safeway and then Smashburger because that's the best place to go eat lunch, and there is parking right in front of the restaurant n chase bank.

Decent or better I commute to Potrero Center seldomly it's easy and enjoyable by on the 9 Bus, the location is decent it centers 7 mins away from Downtown.

It is difficult to find a place to use the toilet, so pee before arrive or try to control the bladders. Public restrooms should be installed or bring a portable toilet.

Free Parking in the city? What? Serious? Yesss Sireeees!

I've heard horror stories about this place. Most from "crazidents" who migrated to the city somewhere from "timbuktoo," and from a few buddies of mine who have no clue what they got "goin" till they loose it. Dude, it's free parking! "fml"

It's almost unheard of finding a FREE "freakin" parking for 3 WHOLE HOURS in city. I even found a spot right next to the entrance level right across USPS. Parking is not diagonal so take caution when you pull in, and pull out (no dirty thoughts). The bottom floor could also use more lighting. It was "freakin" dark, maybe that's why it was free.

      Cheers! :p

Free 3 hours garage parking! Free in SF? What? LOL :p fantastic.

Large shopping plaza with a variety of stores. Ample parking on two levels. Generally the plaza is clean and has security. Businesses come and go, but the plaza tends to draw nicer chain stores and restaurants.

My only recommendation is to improve exit/entrance onto 16th St. If it was up to me they should install a stop light and/or direct all in/out traffic to Bryant St.

Worst customers services, the lady who attended me was rude, and attitude like it's my fault you are working there. If you passed more than 30 days, they could only store credit that you can use in 20 days. After that, you lose your money. I cannot believe they have few options for working people and do not have time to come every weekend. Horrible service... I cannot give 0 stars if I could I will

I do not like this center, period. If Petco weren't located here, I would avoid this shopping center entirely.

The parking lot is a nightmare and the Safeway was designed by someone trying to pull a trick on Helen Keller: Whatever department you're looking for, head 180 degrees in the opposite direction of how any other Safeway is laid out.

      Convenient- but miserable.

It's so sad, especially when you consider that it used to be the location of Seals Stadium, where the minor-league San Francisco Seals and Mission Reds used to play. The Giants also played here for two seasons before Candlestick Park was built.

I want to say there's plenty of parking, but it's often difficult to find a spot, especially downstairs. Now that the former Office Depot location is vacant, parking might be a bit easier, but I doubt it. There's something weird about the Safeway even though I like it/need it/despise it.

Why did so many of my Seneca-morning bagels come from its Noah's? Oh, and when its Blockbuster closed, it really was the end of an era. The Safeway sign on the southeast corner of the building isn't as spotty as it used to be, but I'll never understand Matt's obsession with its Boston Market either. How can a guy despise the Potrero Center's Safeway yet actually go out of his way to patronize its Boston Market? And don't say that Brian made him do it, because while I'm sure Brian tagged along and enjoyed his meal while making fun of it copiously, no one makes Matt do anything. Basically ever. OK, that may not have been true 100 percent of the time in the mid-2000s, but it's true 100 percent of the time now.

Shannon and Ross. That's all that's left to say.

Can't say I'm really a fan of Potrero Center. Between all of the homeless lying around, the reckless drivers and mediocre shops, the overall result is somewhat lacking. Everything is just kind of run down here - it could really use some TLC.
