Eric's shop is immaculately run, couldn't ask for better quality or service . I went for an inspection and knew then I'd return as a regular customer.

Eric has ALWAYS done right by my husband and I. We have taken our car to him for everything from inspection to damage caused by a hit and run to an oil change. He is honest and prices are fair. He has given us some solid advice regarding next steps and is never pushy- it is clear he has a ton of care for his clients. Make sure to call ahead- the shop is very busy due to the quality of service. We will continue to take our car here as long as we are in the area!

Someone smacked into my car hard while parked, and my little Kona needed a lot of repair. I was nervous to take it to a body shop because of past experiences with mechanics who have ripped me off, perhaps because they see me as a woman or because I'm just not that savvy on car stuff.

But Precision Transmissions restored my faith in the magic of car fixing and humanity honestly!

Eric the owner walked me through the process step-by-step. He was 100% honest about everyting, handled a bunch of annoying paperwork for me, and did it all for less than I was quoted at other places. Everyone there was super kind and great to chill with in the waiting room. And most important, they did an INCREDIBLE job with my car -- seriously went above and beyond. When i picked it up, I felt like I was driving a new car off the sales floor.

Eric and his team turned a potentially harrowing experience into a great one. I will never go to any other mechanic ever again.

Eric and Raphael and Rai provided incredible customer service. I sensed their professionalism and commitment to me as a customer from the start. All of them were courteous, honest, and created confidence in me that they were focused on my car as well as its owner. Although I entered Precision Transmissions for an annual inspection, I left there convinced that I trust them to do any maintenance on my vehicle in the future. Although it is a 2006 Acura MDX, it has a lot more miles to go thanks to Eric and his team.

If you want to go to a repair shop where you never actually speak to a mechanic or technician you should come here.

it's very modern, clean and accessible like a Starbucks. These things are obviously important to most people that's why modern establishments like this have so many good reviews.

If you book an appointment expect to wait atleast an hour on arrival to speak to someone at the front desk who doesn't know anything about fixing cars.

I didn't want to leave a bad review because it's a family owned business but it was a pretty Sh*tty experience. They charged me 500$ For a Diagnostic, just to say they couldn't figure out the issue.

The worst part about the experience was the owner called me the same day at 3pm to say that I should pick up my car before 5pm when they close. When I told him I couldn't make it by 5pm because I work a 9-5, he threw a fit and threatened to put my car on the street to get towed.....I get it, it's all about business and At the end of the day, And my car was taking up space.

like I said I was charged 500$ to fix an issue that took 50$ To fix myself.

I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because precision Transmission inspired me to work on my own car. I'll never take my car to a mechanic again, and if I do it definitely won't be precision transmission.

Save yourself a thousand dollars and go the Shea stadium mechanics (Willets Point) Like a real New Yorker.

Our car was sideswiped and required extensive repairs and body work. Much of this required new parts. Our insurance company gave us some options and Precision Transmissions was among them. I read the numerous positive reviews and chose Precision Transmissions.

I'm glad I did.

Eric is the owner and man in charge. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. The shop is immaculate and his staff professional. Everyone was wearing masks. He answered all my questions and made me feel confident the car was in good hands. It took a while to get all the work done--but that's all due to the terrible supply chain issues, which was confirmed by the car manufacturer itself. Once the parts were in, the work was done quickly and thoroughly. And not once did we have any hassles with our insurer. Everything was by the book, which is how it should be in these cases.

When we picked up the vehicle, we noticed one slight issue with a very small portion of the bodywork. We brought it to Eric's attention and without hesitation he acknowledged that it needed to be fixed. Things sometimes go wrong. It's how you respond to them that counts. The problem was fixed by the next day and the car looks beautiful.

Eric also informed us that our battery was not testing well and noted that it should be a warranty service by the place that originally replaced it. So I brought it to the dealer. Turns out he was absolutely right and it was in fact the wrong battery--dropped in by the dealership's service department! His heads up was crucial to getting an issue fixed that could have left us stranded somewhere.

So here's where the rubber meets the road (sorry): would I recommend Precision Transmissions even if the insurer wasn't footing the bill? Answer: you bet. It can be tough to find an excellent mechanic that you can trust in this town. I'll be referring folks to Precision Transmissions going forward.

I'll update if anything goes wrong, but I don't think it will and I'm highly confident Precision would make it right even if something did.

You got in for $200 job and up paying $2700 for thing you didn't ask for or need $20 brake fluid he. A crook

Be prepared to pay $25 for a covid cleaning fee on any work, including a state inspection. Other shops do not charge this.

Cleaning makes sense. However, considering how many other businesses that interact with the public that have added covid precautions and not passed these expenses through to customers this was surprising. $25 seems excessive in any case.

Eric and his team were great from start to finish. I'd been given the run around by my dealer and searched until I saw all of the great reviews for Precision Transmissions. I'd been burnt so often that I was skeptical but it hadn't been necessary.

Eric was very friendly and honest. He worked hard to find the part that the actual dealer gave up on and kept me in the loop. The mechanic at the dealership told me that the part couldn't be found and that I ought to just buy another car from them. It's safe to say that I'll continue taking my car to Precision Transmissions and know that my hard earned money and time is going towards people who work hard to earn my business.
