Super fun and interactive playground, one slide, and many water activities. Walk across the side walk and road to the most beautiful kid friendly beach. Such a fun location!

This is probably one of the best playgrounds in SF.

After my sons doctors appointment we decided to go to a playground in the area and this one of the closest and highest rated in the area, so we popped on in. We also had his behavioral therapist with us and she spoke highly of this playground.

They have a tiny area for smaller kids under 5 which includes a sandbox with toys folks in the area "donated" or left behind. My little boy was in love with the sandbox area.

There's another huge play structure for bigger kids and lots of benches and shaded areas for parents and nannies to hang out and unwind while the kids play in the area. Bigger kids can also play in the basketball court. What's neat about this playground is that there are tons of toys such as bikes, balance bikes, toy structures that parents either left behind or donated. My little boy loved playing with some of those toys.

There's also a multi purpose room that you can probably rent out for birthday parties etc.
As well as a decent bathroom for folks to use while they're in the playground. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. It's a wonderful playground. The only negative is that it can get pretty crowded and sometimes parking is difficult but overall definitely a great place to visit.

This is at the top of my favorites list for greatest playgrounds in SF! Tucked away in Presidio Heights at the border of Laurel Heights just behind the JCC this playground has a separate area for the toddlers and a big kids area.

The smaller play area comes complete with a sandbox full of sand tables and sand box toys. Everything is lower to the ground so your toddlers can climb and explore by themselves! This area is separately fenced off so your littles can safely roam free.

Big kids area is like a giant tree house with multiple slides. This is directly adjacent to the basketball court area which has blacktop covered with various two and three and four wheeled trikes, bikes and walkers. There are basketballs available if your kids want to shoot some hoops and one of the baskets is slightly lower for smaller kids.

The children were also very self aware here. I had no fears that my toddler would get run over by a big kid because they were all very mindful to look out for the littles in the shared play areas.

Only complaint is parking can be a huge pain in this neighborhood. You either have to circle the block a million times looking for free street parking or you can park one street over on Sacramento where it's a little bit easier to find a spot but there is only metered parking. Either one, expect to spend some time finding a parking spot but rest assured that it will be worth the extra effort.

Great park for the kiddos and adults alike. Playground equipment, tons of bikes and cars and balls for the littles. Nice seating for the adults. Had a great time here along with our little.

A gem nested in he Presidio Heights neighborhood.. perfect for the kiddos.. lots of toys to play with like cars, bicycles, trucks, soccer balls and basketballs. It has three different areas, a basketball court where all the four and two wheel toys are.. and two other areas with swings, slides, a sandbox and zigzag! The park has picnic tables and a restroom right besides the court.

Over the last 4.5 years I've had my share of "killing time until nap time" at SF playgrounds. The one takes the cake and I'm pissed I didn't find it sooner!

      Plus:
Two separate spaces so you 18 m/o doesn't get trampled my an 8 y/o jerk.

Beautiful setting with fake grass, no god damn sand.

Easy parking because in this hood the grown folks own garages.

Used toys galore! Bring that baby because there's loads of clean bouncers and even a high chair! Genius!

      Cons:
None! Pack a picnic and bring your fam over here!

One of the best cleanest baby playgrounds I've ever seen. Bathrooms included. My little one was occupied in the toys area before he even realized there was a playground. Beware almost got a parking ticket. Every 1st and 3rd Tuesdays is Street Cleaning, aside from that you're good.

Well maintained and beautiful facilities. I have great memories of taking my son here. Surrounding neighborhoods are beautiful and lots of Bay Area nature to be found. One of the best playgrounds in the city.

Best playground in SF. Tons of toy vehicles for kids to ride around in. My 2-year-old can play here for hours before even discovering the more permanent playground structures.

We've been patiently waiting for this park to re-open. We had been walking or driving to Alta Plaza Park instead this whole time.

This park is just a few days old like my newborn, so it's five stars. Everything is new and clean and nice. I doubt this park will deteriorate over time, as it's in great hands. It's been open around 10 days and we've already been here a handful of times to let my toddler burn off his energy, my newborn get some fresh air and sun (not much of that in July in SF, though), and myself to get up and active after popping out another one.

We like the soft, fake turf in the mini toddler area, the basketball court with all the balls provided, the toddler basketball hoop stand, nice picnic tables. Nice climbing structures in the bigger toddler area.

The sandlot uses real sand, so it's dusty. Some people don't like it.

The ramp that goes up into the park isn't too steep either.

It's a few minutes walk from our house, and unlike Julius Kahn Park, there are no hills to get to this park! That's why it's our favorite neighborhood park now. (I think I still like Alta Plaza Park a bit more because it's bigger and gets more sun, but this one doesn't require a 20 minute walk, so...)
