These guys are super pros -- amazing. Veronica reassured us and answered all questions and the top notch crew led by Fernando (2?) hustled our stuff out of the house carefully yet quickly and managed to fit it in the four pods we had. A miracle.

I have been using Prodigy Moving since 2017 because they have always been reliable, affordable, and efficient. They helped me move from LA to SF, back down to LA, and within LA. They have helped me move 4 times - from my bachelor apartment to different apartments/homes over the years, to finally my first home with a growing family. I've always been very satisfied and pleased with their work. All of their employees are super nice and every team that has been assigned to me has always moved my things fast and with care. Customer service is excellent. They are pretty flexible/accommodating when it comes to scheduling. Prices are very reasonable and fair for the high quality work.

On Monday I had Prodigy move me from Los Angeles to Idyllwild. I used them in 2021 and they were amazing. On 12/11 they were just as good.

Due to arrive between 8 and 10 AM. At 759 AM Carlos and his associate were outside my door. They were polite, carefully prepared my furniture for the 2-hour trip. It was immediately clear these gentlemen were professionals.

Everything went flawlessly like clockwork. It could not have gone better. They understood the challenges of the mountain roads. Heeded my advice to avoid any challenges.

Bottom line is my stuff got moved expeditiously with zero damage, zero grief.

HIGHLY recommend this business. Not cheap but in this case, you get what you pay for. Best option in So Cal.

What started off as a normal moving experience ended up a disaster. I had the absolute worst experience with Ben and Abby on my moving day. They both Ended up being Extremely unprofessional and rude people. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE REVIEWS, LIKE I WAS!!!

I called this business one evening to schedule a move and spoke with Abby. She told me she had availability as soon as the next day. She gave me two options 9A-10A or 12P-1P. She explained both times were available and she'd be leaving the office soon so I needed to make a decision if I wanted to book. I stated I wanted to move forward with 9A appt, was still packing, and would have everything ready in the morning when movers arrived. I ended up booking 9A-10A. She sent me a text and email to confirm and told me if I needed anything else not to hesitate to reach out. This was the normal part.

That night ,as I was packing, we had a power outage.The electricity returned on at 8:00A. As a result, I could not finish packing. I called Abby as soon as she was in the office to inform her& to see if the time slot for 12P-1P was still available. She immediately had a attitude with me and said the time slot wasn't available. - which I found interesting considering she said I was her last call before leaving the office the day before(but I moved on). She became very rude when trying to reschedule this move. She went back and forth with me as I explained the power outage was not within my control. I asked for a manager. When speaking with Ben , he immediately approached the situation making it much bigger than what it was. After going back n forth with him, he said he could put my move on standby. He said someone would give me a call an hour before arrival and they'd call between 11A-5P.
He told me I'd need to print a contract to move forward with being on standby. I informed him I didn't have access to a printer but I'd be happy to sign electronically. He said ok and they sent the contract via email.

At noon Abby called me and said the drivers were available and on the way. She told me again I needed to print the contract to sign it. I explained I spoke to Ben and he gave me the ok to sign electronically since I didn't have printer access. Ben then took over the call and started yelling at me. He talked over me saying it's my responsibility to print their contract. I explained again I didn't have access to a computer and no information had changed since our previous call. It was now 12:14P && he cancelled my move all together leaving us stranded. Who randomly cancels a confirmed move? I even asked Ben since this was a requirement, if he could print and give to the movers. I'd be happy to sign upon arrival. He refused & continued to be rude.

We ended up having to extend our apt time by a day and hiring movers for the next day. All out of pocket expenses that were not budgeted.

This situation could've been handled better professionally and logically.

All and all I saw that these were not people I'd want with my personal possessions. They are also not the people I'd trust based on my final interactions. The gaslighting, rudeness, and lack of understanding was brutal,

We had prodigy recommended by a local family in our neighborhood (Playa Vista, CA) and could not happier. Our move team - Carlos and Abby, and the rest of the crew were exceptional. respectful, fast, professional, and just a joy to work with. they crushed our move and got us up and running at our new place faster then I ever thought possible. Would recommend and use again.

Smoothest and easiest move ever. This is the second time we've used them. Our crew leader Martinez crushed it again. So professional, strong, fast and must be a score 1000 in Tetris because he's super organized! I've never had someone who's moving our stuff be so helpful and thoughtful when it comes to organizing. In our case it was to a storage unit so that was so important for us. Truly could not have done it without his help

Regretfully I'm not here to report positive things.

My partner and I moved in together yesterday and he hired Prodigy because in the past he has had a good experience with them and they are highly rated and reputable. He encouraged me to have them also move all of the things from my apartment. My process is a bit different, but I finally agreed to have them move a few heavy items. I had them move a desk that is solid wood and quite heavy, the refrigerator, my dresser, and my bed.

None of my partner's things are damaged because they were properly cared for. Mine however were treated like trash and everything has visible damage. When I saw them bring in my partner's things versus the few items of mine, I immediately noticed that all wood items were wrapped in a blanket before the plastic so as to not damage them.

The wood items they wrapped only in plastic and then tugged on the plastic to move the items, which as you may guess, causes damage to the finish wherever there was friction. The refrigerator was grossly mishandled and now has a crease in the door on the left side right at EYE LEVEL. It also has scuff marks on the bottom where it was dragged along cement. Even my bed stand has scuff marks. And yes, all of those dings and scuffs are from them. They moved items that had not ever been moved outside their arriving to my apartment. The refrigerator is only two years old and was brought to my apartment in pristine condition.

I should have known it was going to be a total disaster when they arrived to my apartment, which was the second location. The team lead didn't seem at all interested in even saying hello to me or asking what I needed. He barely acknowledged me. Then they started with the refrigerator. It seemed like the person assisting the lead with that task didn't understand what was being asked and as soon as it was out of the apartment I heard metal scraping on cement. Not just once but multiple times. It has wheels and therefore they were scraping one of the bottom panels right on the cement.

The team overall seemed like they were trying to do their best, but their lead was incredibly abrupt. He had no interest in speaking with me and did not address any of my questions when he arrived. Instead he breezed past me as if I weren't there and my needs did not concern him. It shows!

I left that location to come to the new home a few minutes ahead of them. My partner stayed back and closed things up. However, when I returned I noticed they even managed to do damage to a rug that they weren't responsible for at all. And had left it askew, which I guess is good as I may not have noticed the damage otherwise.

I expect better than damage to every single item I had them move.

I really cannot stress enough the attitude of disdain I got from the team lead. He acted as if I were not a person at all, carelessly tossed things at his team and seemed incredibly irritated and "put out" by being asked to move anything at all at my apartment. My partner said the lead person was rather abrupt all day. I also do not believe he takes good care of his crew. There were at least two occasions that called for a dolly and none was used. When the team was moving the heavy desk up the stairs it seemed quite dangerous at times.

He was running them like it was a flat rate job. Which I personally would never agree to hire people that way because the emphasis then is on speed not care.

I absolutely would recommend going elsewhere.

Moving is stressful, duh. Fernando's team made the process smooth and easy. Timing was essential because we needed the move completed while our toddler was in daycare and the team performed the task exceptionally well and on time! Packed everything quick and efficient. Moved fast and unloaded everything promptly.

I was 100% satisfied with Prodigy Moving and Storage from beginning to end. I received a fair estimate and the moving manager was thorough with his explanation of the process. The 3 guy team of movers was careful, professional and really terrific. Wrapped my artwork very well. Hard working guys! I was very pleased that the move went smoothly and nothing was broken.
