Propane Stop

Just wanted to post useful information. We use this place to fill up our forklift propane tanks. The guy is super nice and it's super quick. The phone is disconnected but still in business. It's much more convenient to get to if you are heading north on 880. Just follow google directions. They do regular household bbq tanks as well. Also, cash only but it's worth the price. Open Monday - Saturday!

These guys are great. They're quick, nice and get the job done well. I have to go every few months to fill my propane tanks, which are an odd size.

During the quarantine it was difficult to find any of my regular stores that had tank exchanges available. Found Propane Stop on Yelp and now have a new go to place for no fuss refills. Only $18 for a bbq grill refill, which is cheaper than the sale day price at most places.

Don't get frustrated by sold out locations, just refill at Propane Stop. The gentleman that has been there on both Sunday's is very nice. Just knock on the trailer door and you will be finished in a few minutes.

You might drive by it as there's no clear visible signage. James will fill up your tanks. In and out in 5 minutes. Cash only. Approx $3.75/gallon. Meter shows how much your tank is filled. Friendly neighborhood propane station.

It is increasingly difficult to find places that will refill odd-sized cylinders like my 11-lb tank that I use in our camping trailer. The cost for refilling standard 20-lb tanks is far less than what you pay at those exchange places. It's right next to the Nimitz freeway (880) near the High Street exit. Go through the open gate on the right and knock on the trailer door for help. The guys are really nice, and know what they are doing. Cash only, but the price is right!

Quick and friendly. Make sure your tank isn't expired. Look for a date. They had has when all the stores were out of refills

Can't believe I've lived in this area so long, and didn't know about this little gem. Went there for the first time today to fill the tank for my BBQ after learning about it from a Yelp search. Took me 4 minutes from Alameda to get there. And getting the propane only took a few minutes. This might seem like a rough looking spot, but don't be fooled by that. The guy who filled my tank was friendly and efficient, and this is mainly a working industrial area during the day.

As others have noted, the phone doesn't work, so don't call. Knock on the trailer when you get there and give him the secret password (just kidding).

The Propane Stop can be noticed on the right as one exits High St.heading towartds the gas station. not a convenient location, traffic wise.

Fast, efficient, reasonably priced propane. That's all they do here. Filled 4, five gallon tanks for $58. The whole process took 5 minutes.

Signage is bad. They said they are working on a better sign. It looks closed, but it's not.

Cheapest propane in town. Not much more to say. Very quick refills and really nice guys.
