I was trying to install solar panels before finding out two roof leaks courtesy of the bay area rain. Zach came out and provided an immaculately detailed estimate and plan. Once we got into contract, he was able to quarterback the reroofing schedule with his crew perfectly inside the tiny window of 4 sunny days.

Projects at this scale usually come with surprises and this one is no exception. His team identified the infeasibility of the planned installation of gutter and downspouts due to the angle of the soffit, then they quickly pivoted to TPU and other solutions. The quality of the work is amazing.

It is also worth mentioning that Zach, the project manager, did a fantastic job articulating the details of the plan, the rationale of different options, and more importantly being transparent and upfront with pricing. This project turned out to be the beginning of a healthy and productive relationship as we are already discussing other projects around the house.

We did a major 15-month renovation on our house using Prosper. Half of our house was gutted, including the entire lower level playroom / laundry / full bath and the main level kitchen and powder room. We lowered 2/3 of the lower level which required a bunch of new foundation walls and slab. We also put a beam in the kitchen which required a bunch of structural work in the lower level. We rewired the house, increased to 400 amp service, added an HVAC mini split system, new water heaters, and a new sewer line.

There was a ton of work that went into our renovation, some of which was expected and some of which was not. The end result is beautiful. Though there are a few things that could've been executed a bit better, we're dealing with an old house and there are always compromises.

Prosper was communicative from the start and throughout the project. He nearly always picked up the phone for me and would respond to texts quickly. I felt like I had an honest partner during this process.

However, I do think there are things that didn't go well. Prosper is the head of the company and didn't often visit the project site. And for most of the project, we didn't have a project manager assigned. For a project of this size, that ended up causing a lot of coordination gaps that I felt I needed to fill because I was onsite.

I also think we should've put some of our stuff in storage because it was damaged by the damp ocean air drafting through the open garage and the jostling about during the 15 months of construction. We probably should've thought of this ourselves, that's not really on the GC.

Finally, the overall timeline was a pretty big miss. Part of this is due to the unavoidable things that came up during the project (e.g. foundation wall replacement was unexpected), but I don't think we ever had a realistic schedule. I suspect that a project manager would've helped with this.

However, in the end, a lot of things came up during the course of the project and Prosper was able to handle all of them and had subs at the ready. Renovations are a journey and I feel we built a lot of trust during the project. I would call Prosper for the next project.

I met with a lot of general contractors before hiring Prosper but knew I wanted to work with Eden from the start.

Communication: He was patient and explained things to the level I needed and never seemed to get tired of my many many questions. Great communication generally as well. I knew I could always get ahold of him and we met multiple times a week throughout an 8 month project.

Timing and Schedule: He never pushed but also reminded me we had a schedule. The crew always seemed to be working and we got through the project mostly on time. Any delay was out of our hands.

Budget: He has impeccable taste and great attention to detail but also understood the balance that it was my budget and I would live in the house. Again lots of consultation but I never felt pressure. As happens in construction, we had a few hiccups but we were able to come to an agreement pretty quickly when it came to budget impact etc.

Work we had done:
- New floors throughout
- Remove A LOT of wallpaper
- Remove popcorn ceiling
- Redo electrical (upgrade sub panel and rewire house for more breakers)
- Renovate 2 bathrooms
- New kitchen footprint (full gut, built a pantry, moved a wall, installed a beam header)
- New master bedroom footprint (built a closet, moved the entry door)
- New windows (needed exterior stucco work)

*we were down to the studs and he told me it would be ok!*

He works with a great crew who were all communicative and thorough (foreman - Efrain and crew, interior designer - Tal, electrician, glass guy)

Small thing I also appreciated, they cleaned up the site every single day. Shows a lot of respect.

I cant wait to work with them on my next project.

We recently had Prosper do a tub-to-shower conversion. Not only did they do a very good job that exceeded expectations, but they were the easiest company to work with ever. And that includes everyone, Project Manager Eden, Foreman Efraim, and all the workers. They kept things neat, protected the carpeting, and communicated progress very well. There was a big constraint on getting the old tile out without breaking any others or the trim because I had a very limited supply of extra matching tile and trim, and they managed to do that very well. In other words, I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I collaborated with Eden on my second-floor addition project. Initially, my plan was to demolish the entire house and rebuild it from scratch. However, due to budget constraints, I was unable to proceed with that approach. Fortunately, Eden proposed a brilliant alternative by extending the second floor and remodeling the rest of the house. I couldn't be happier with this solution, especially considering the budget I had available.

Updating to 4 stars because the owner of the company called to personally apologize for the poor customer service we received and explained how he would resolve the issue.

Let me tell you, customer service is king! And next comes service recovery when you screw up (because yes, we all screw up). I appreciate the conversation where he listened to why I felt inconvenienced and came up with a solution and next steps to mitigate the issues.

I hope that we may come away with a reasonable contract, but if not, I do at least want to say that I found the owner's response to my review to be reasonable, fair and appreciated!

To be fair, we did not get even an estimate with them so this is not in regards to the actual service.

However they made an appointment to come out and do a estimate for our home repair projects. Then 4 hours before our appointment they called to cancel saying that management said they aren't taking on new projects.

Well then how about you don't schedule appointments and waste my time or not wait until the day of to tell me?

Bad customer service. But happy to discuss my dissatisfaction if they'd like to contact me. I promise I'll try not to bite, lol.
