I was here for the first time but I really liked the vibe and the music. It reminded me of Vegas as this has three stories and every floor was packed with people. The service is great and make sure you bring your id because they are strict about it. One of our friends didn't bring her id so she couldn't get in. The DJ is awesome and I saw in between that record too. Overall a great experience and have plans to come back here again! We came here on uber as parking options are very challenging in the city. We didn't eat here as we ate outside and came over here and had a couple of drinks. As people would spill drinks at times on the floor and the staff would come and clean immediately. Great vibe!

So beyond pissed with this place. I paid 30 at the door and 5 to check in my coat, my friend had to go outside to get some air I followed to make sure she was ok but I had to go back and get my coat the female security didn't allow me back in so she took my ticket and brought out the wrong jacket. I told her and she didn't give a fuck. I spent hella money here to not get my shit back . Do better ! Stealing peoples shit

We are here waiting for azalea banks it's 1:35 she hasn't come out yet. This is not fun those drags are not good.
It's just not fair, we paid and wait in line for so long and still she hasn't come out. Boring. Also she never showed up

There are so many bad reviews about the security, 6 of us (all ladies) were lucky enough to get in without having any problems. I like the great variety of music and multiple levels of dance floor with Latin music, hip pop, Mexican music. We tried them all, it's fun.
I rated 3 stars because it is so warm inside, hardly felt the A/C, bad ventilation and floor was sticky due to sweating? and/or spilled drinks?

We decided to check out a highly recommended club in San Francisco. Pura is well know for their various rooms with different music and vibes. We got bottle service for my friend's birthday. For the price we paid we imagined we can let people into our section in the club but the security was doing the most. We had fun exploring room to room up until some weirdo touched me inappropriately twice. I told the security guard who he was and pointed him out. All he said what okay and did nothing to check him. Despite that I had fun and would go back but I just wish security did their job when it was needed instead of guarding VIP. Tbh I'm not sure if I would go back bc of this experience and not feeling safe but definitely a night for the books.

Club Pura need to change there phone number. The club phone number goes to a personal line.

So I came to Pura Club because it was highly recommended by some new friends I made in San Francisco.

This place has 4 levels with each floor dedicated to a certain type of music genre. Upon entering, you hit the salsa/merengue/bachata level, take the stairs down and the party is BUMPING with reggaeton and some Latin EDM.

Upon entering and taking the stairs UP, you'll hit the hip-hop floor and then the basement level is banda/regional mexican music/corridos.

What I liked:

- all the levels
- the drinks were chillin
- coat check


What I didn't like:
- $30 cover charge
- long lines to get in

I've never been to Pura myself because my friend group was discriminated against, and there's a memory from a few years back that sticks with me. It was in November 2018, as far as I can remember. My group of girlfriends and male friends decided to go out together. However, things took an unexpected turn. The security person who checked one of our guy friend's ID said he couldn't enter because he was "too drunk." This was strange since he's usually pretty quiet and wasn't causing any trouble at all. When we tried to speak up for him, they ended up denying entry to our entire group. I remember feeling really small and confused that night.

I'm bringing up this memory because my partner had a frustrating experience just last Saturday, even though I wasn't there. My partner has a Middle Eastern/Indian appearance, and it's disheartening to see the same kind of issue happening at Pura five years later. Back when I was 21, I didn't use my voice, but now, as a more mature woman living in the diverse Bay Area, I won't tolerate this kind of behavior.
