Queens Breakfast Cocktails

Great place for breakfast, brunch and lunch! Huge portions does not disappoint. Coffee is good and strong. Be sure to make reservations!

First time here and I would definitely return. My meal was amazing! I had the Brioche French Toast and cappuccino which came with a side of ice cream which was a wonderful touch. My spouse had the special of the day and stated that it was pretty good just could have used a little more seasoning in the pork but overall was good. Fast and friendly service.

Where it starts with a cappuccino and ends with a cocktail. After a day of crap food while traveling I really needed some deep soul healing food, and this place, this little #mood place in the most unlikely of strip malls in Calgary stood for all that Canada is. Laisse-moi expliquer.

I am not a waffle lover. I live in the US, where waffles are industrial grade and not for the faint of heart, we're talking molded bread product with grids so meaty that y'all better be sure your mouth is free of open wounds. In this occasion, I was persuaded by the very efficient & personable garçon, that the fried chicken & waffles is a new item and worth the venture. It did not hurt that I nearly got whiplash from seeing a plate of the very same served to a gentleman who looked like he was winning at life.

So it was, for the chicken, I would bear the travails of waffles. The plate came, abundantly presented with potatoes so creamy on the inside it would give certain acting "professionals" a run for their money, it was nicely crusted on the outside with some kind of mystery sweetness I didn't dare question (Type 2 you understand).

As you can see the chook legs, which were reassuringly normal in size and hence a perfection of fried skin and just the right amount of meat (vs you know, steroid sized birds) were gone in no time at all. And as it so happened that my partner decided to have a little episode (something about not realizing his meat had onions which he loathes) , I was left alone with the glory of my meal. I had the waffles, finally, and oh my, these are different.

These are airy, with the grid lines nicely crisp but still beautifully soft, simply put somehow the damn kitchen wizards at Queen's seems to have made this in the same spirit of a cannelé without the hard caramelization. People, it was wondrous.

Anywho, garçon who was concerned over my partner suddenly abandoning his meal and moi, made every effort to find out what was wrong. And the truth is, nothing was wrong at all I reassured him, it's not you honey, it's him.

He sent me away with a little bag of ricotta pancakes anyway, which I neither expected nor demanded. In conclusion, the food is amazing, a fantastic summary of the flavors from all the cultures in this land, and the service is well, probably worth the XP healing points of 2 therapy sessions.

queens breakfast cocktails was our first meal and best food experience in calgary. located at 3927 edmonton trail ne, in an industrial neighbourhood. there's limited parking available in this strip mall with more parking directly across the street on edmonton trail and street parking on 38th ave and 40th.

we came by without reservations on a monday at around 11:30 am and had to wait around 15 minutes before we were seated. there is the option to make reservations or join the waitlist on yelp.

the room is charmingly rustic and eclectic with bottles of wine lined against the wall, with framed portraits of queens, strings of light, chandeliers, against dark wood. there's a bust of a lion's head and ostrich feathers. the vibes in here were very chill. the servers were efficient and friendly. the menu looked incredible and it was tough to decide and our server ash helped with the decision making. i got the mushroom fricasee, and it was superb, the mushroom sauce with the potatoes were so filling, and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. i didn't like the iced maple chai and ash took this away and removed it off our bill. my partner ordered the queens breakfast with soft poached eggs, bacon, chorizo sausage, lemon ricotta pancakes, potatoes.

i highly recommend queens breakfast cocktails for a memorable brunch in calgary. the excellent food, cozy ambiance, and top notch service make it a must visit spot for locals and visitors alike.

Stopped here for brunch at the end of our Banff vacation before flying home. The parking situation leaves a bit to be desired but the food is tasty and the service was excellent. Restaurant ambiance is also good with interesting decor. Get the espresso drinks instead of the drip coffee. Crab cake benedict was on special and the only way it could have been better was if it wasn't fried. We also had the croque madame which was excellent.

It's definitely a fun place to be and I'd come back next time I'm in town.... 2 thousand miles away haha.

Saturday morning brunch was really busy and you might have to wait like 30 minutes. I'd recommend checking the Yelp waitlist in advance.

Queens Breakfast: Recommend!!
So the eggs, bacon, and chorizo sausage were all great and filling breakfast proteins that you can satisfyingly scarf down... but the real magic is those potatoes and lemon ricotta pancakes. Omg the potato's were some of the most fluffly and creamy things I've ever eaten. How do they do it!? Just so perfectly crispy on the outside. And the pancakes had a great combination of sweet and lemon flavors that just danced all over your tongue.

Montreal Smoked Brisket: Get
Wonderful piece of brisket as well that was a nice touch of sweetness and smokey. It was quite tender and just melted in your mouth as well

Not a fan of the lattes because it was too sweet. Ordered a side of just espresso because whi was I kidding? I like my coffee black.

I love this cute themed queens restaurant, the decor is amazing and classy with the food to match! One of the best breakfast meals that I've had in a very long time, I wish they had this in the rates! Recommend to take on a date or girls brunch!

Queen's Breakfast : this is definitely a feast, I liked that this was like a breakfast tasting menu. This dish included 2 sunny side eggs, bacon, chorizo sausage, lemon ricotta pancakes, potatoes. When I say the potatoes were the most amazing I really so mean it, usually side potatoes are just an after thought but these were crispy and seasoned to perfection I ate the whole thing, carb overload with 0 regrets.

Montreal Smoked Brisket - Croissant Benedict : my husband got this dish and I had a few bites, so delicious, the brisket was juicy and the croissant was buttery and flakey , my husband said WOW x3

The Beautiful : my husband and I have been craving for an espresso martini so he got this so I can have a sip. Chilled espresso, Bailey's, huckleberry, espresso coffee foam - wow not too strong but sooo yummy for a lil morning wake up call!
