Quick Fix Computer Services

I am a retired person living in Los Altos, CA.
A few years ago, my wife experienced problems with her windows laptop hardware. We googled and chose to get the laptop repaired by Quick Fix computer services.
We were very pleased with the quality and thoroughness of the repair work.
Ever since then, whenever we have HW/ SW issues on our computers, Quick Fix computer services became our default place to get the repair work done.
Very recently, I had the bizarre problem with my mechanical flash drive. I could neither open the flash drive nor access the files required to complete my tax returns.
I took the flash drive to Quick Fix computer services along with a new solid-state drive. I explained my priority deadlines to the technical staff.
The service staff understood my priority. They used a special software to scan, clean and retrieve the files from the old flash drive. By Day 2, they retrieved entire data from the old flash drive and transferred to the new solid-state drive.
Throughout the repair process, the technical staff were very professional and understanding, gave me the latest updates.
Here is the icing on the cake! When the data retrieval was successfully completed and knowing my predicament and urgency, this company could have charged me with an abnormally high bill.
I was very much touched and pleasantly surprised when the manager decided to charge a very reasonable price. The reason given was that I am a repeat customer.
I am heartened to notice that such old time courtesy and ethics still exist in professional places like Quick Fix computer services.

I sent in my MacBook Pro that died somehow. They gave me an option to pay for same day diagnostic or wait a few days and get it for free. I needed the laptop fix asap so I paid 90 dollars for same day, hoping I can get a quote and get it fixed as soon as they can get to it.

I got a quote back for 400 with a diagnostic saying the battery needs to be replaced and some parts of the motherboard. I agreed as it was in my price range. The person over the phone told me that I can come in tomorrow and it will be ready. I text them the next day in regards to the status and they told me they need more time to fix it, I was fine with it.

A week passes by and I didn't get any message in regards to the fix. I texted them again for an update, they called me saying that the motherboard needs to get replaced for 800-1k. In my head, I'm like all this time, you figure out the diagnosis now and not when I paid 90 dollars for same day diagnostic? Of course I said no and rather buy myself a new MacBook. He told me to come tomorrow anytime to pick it up.

I'm going to pick it up next day and I come around 1:30 PM and the told me it won't be put together until the next hour. What?! The communication between the business and client sucks! I'm wasting my time during the work day to pick it up when it's not even ready. Overall, I'm really disappointed. I would've thought with the good reviews, that this is place to go but it was all false promises.

I am dissatisfied with their service. Unlike in Calvin's post, they charged me $189 for same day service (I had some malware on my machine) and seemed hesitant to explain exactly what they'd done to fix my machine. Also, they installed (I suppose) an anti-malware program without explaining they'd done so, or explaining how that program compared to others like it.

Again, getting them to explain in the slightest detail about what they'd done was like pulling teeth. OH...and the original malware that caused me to uuse their services was still on my laptop when I got it home.

I won't go back there....

These guys are the absolute best. My MacBook monitor screen suddenly died once day and they were over 100 dollars cheaper than apple with a faster repair time. Unfortunately something was wrong with the screen they replaced, but when I took it back and requested it to be fixed, they were able to help me! They ended up having to replace the screen again because the original one was defective. They could have easily claimed that I dropped the computer and made me pay another 500 dollars but they didn't! They also were able to fix my computer by the following day which I needed because I was traveling out of town. They were incredibly helpful - I would recommend them to anyone looking to get quality repair done in a timely manor.

Hello...my laptop froze while working. I had an excellent experience with the staff and fixed the problem. I asked how much....and since it was an easy fix they did not charge me. Super nice and I will come back.

Quick fix is wonderful! They got back to me with a quick quote, and I scheduled an appointment. Originally I was told that my repair could take 1 or 2 days, but they had the part in stock and my laptop was repaired in 2 hours. Oscar and Javier are friendly and helpful, and their service is reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Javier fixed a problem in less than 10 minutes that neither I nor my friend could fix. After an hour, and getting nowhere, I went to Quickfix. I wasn't sure if they would help with apps and how to use them. Less than 10 minutes!! He taught me what he was doing, and stayed with me until I was done and I
sent it off to the attorney. I felt such relief! Javier, thank you.

Great service. Took in the computer for a free Diagnostics. Promised to get back to me within 2 days and were on schedule. Explained everything and priced per item in full transparency. Will certainly use their services in the future.

These guys are absolutely amazing, both in their work and responsiveness. I had a PC issue and Quick Fix took great care of me all along the way.

In my case it required a few different at-home troubleshooting trips, but I was only charged once and covered the rest of the way by the initial warranty. That fact alone really put me at ease and they definitely backed it up. Price was also quite reasonable and transparent.

If you're like me and panicking about your sudden computer issue choose this team! In good hands indeed!

Highly recommended for your computer needs! The battery on my MacBook wasn't holding power. I called and they knew what was going on with my machine immediately, had a new battery available, and were able to fix my computer that very afternoon. They are reasonably priced and I especially appreciated that my computer came back cleaned and looking as good as new - what a nice surprise! I will be going back if service is needed in the future.
