Quick Haul

These guys are some of the strongest guys lbs for lbs that I've ever seen. I'm pretty strong for my size because I do all the renovation work at our house and so you just build muscle, but these guys are carrying concrete fence posts 30 or 40 feet even when I offer to let them use my gorilla cart.

But, of course, that's not even the best part. The value is the best because they're not wasting time driving out getting quotes. Unfortunately, that's what you're going to find. Crews that want to drive out to give you quotes are just going to be much more expensive because they're driving all around town not necessarily booking jobs, and so their prices just adjust higher because of that.

I live on Alameda, so really close to the infamous Oakland Home Depot. There are junk haulers parked all over there. But here's the problem, they price according to how much money they think you have. People don't realize that, but a lot of people are pricing things as if you're one of these tech workers making $100k-350K/year and that's fair because there are plenty of those in the bay area. I mean, a lot from what I can tell.

We're lucky that we live in a beautiful house and so we're not "poor," but our household is very much technically low-income. So, classic house rich, cash poor. Hence, why I say that I do literally all my own renovations. If I had money like some people I know or have met, then I'd have zero problem paying out for work. But that's not the case and more often than not people quote me prices as if we're top ten percent earners when in reality, and this isn't an exaggeration, we're actually bottom 10 percent especially in bay area.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's smart if Quick Haul is heading out to like Danville/Blackhawk/Piedmont/etc where majority of people are overwhelmingly high-income, then they should rise their rates because they can certainly afford to pay higher rates and these guys are doing hard work. But in neighborhoods like Alameda where income is actually pretty mixed (half the island has some money half the island is lower income), then it's a pretty good policy to just price based on what the job is versus how wealthy they think the people are.

Anyway, I wanted to write an "epic" review because while I could have hauled off my junk to the Berkeley or David transfer station, it would have been really difficult for me to do, especially by myself. And for some quotes I got, it looked like I may of had to do so, but Quick Haul because of their pricing, allowed me to save my energy for what's going to be a huge renovation that I literally have to do myself.

Oh, but on top of that, the guys are really nice. Like the Home Depot haulers, some of those guys are extremely aggressive where one of them I literally had to shut my gate because I couldn't tell if he was going to do something physical or not.

Anyway, like all the good reviews, get these guys on your schedule. I know they're now on the top of my list of people to get quotes from.

Efrain and his team were great. Picked up my old sofa, China cabinet, & mattress topper....all for a flat fee of $150. It took them 15 mins to get everything on their truck and on the road.

Efrain is SUPER good - just took care of us for a bunch of remodeling materials and I still don't understand how it all fit on his truck but he made it work!!! Really hard working, efficient and they were in and out in under 20-30 min and it would've taken me hours to do what they did in demoing and hauling the materials out of our driveway and garage.
