Came here at around 6:30 PM on a Sunday night and waited around 10 minutes before being sat down. There is not a lot of space at the front, so we had to wait outside, which was not really an issue.

There is a happy hour ($1 off alcohol and appetizers) everyday from 5-7 PM, which we did not know before coming here, so I was glad to be able to catch the tail end of it.

Food: We ordered a Roti Dip, Ba Mhee Ped Yang, drunken noodle with beef, and a Thai iced tea. I saw the sign in front say that the Roti Dip was a must try; I thought it was not bad but still was worth a try. I thought the Ba Mhee Ped Yang was really unique as the noodles themselves were dry but still had flavor to them with the flavorful duck broth on the side. I liked how for the drunken noodle, and I guess all the noodle options, the beef protein option does not cost more as many Thai restaurants in the area charge extra for beef as the protein option. The drunken noodle also was really good. The Thai tea was pretty good, but one thing to note is that they charge an extra 20 cents if you ask for less ice! Next time, I would want to try the Fresh Roll Shrimp and Pad Thai.

Service: Even though almost every table was occupied and there seemed to be around 1-2 servers, the service was still really good. We were almost never kept waiting, and the servers came back with our requests promptly.

The interior is super pretty and modern inside. I really loved the vibes!!

Overall, a great Thai restaurant in the city with good pricing and food. Can't wait to try their other dishes!

Average vegetarian/ Vegan food. Taste wise it was okay. Not Great Not Bad.

Ambiance was decent but place is little conjusted and too noisy.

Service was good. Able to explain and understand requests. We ordered Ton Kha Soup, drunken noodle and house special pineapple friend rice.

Problem is they brought all the food together so meanwhile we complete soup rest of entire food was dead cold.

      Also did mistake in order.

Overall average restaurant. May be its just weekend busyness. May try again.

Thai Spice on Polk Street is a solid choice if you're looking for authentic Thai food in San Francisco. The restaurant has a great vibe, and their cocktails are a must-try! We came for a birthday dinner with 12 people on a weekday night and made a reservation beforehand, so there was no wait, which was perfect.

I tried the gra-pow fried rice with tofu, which was packed with flavor, though the rice was a bit dry and hard. Others in my group raved about the khao soi, so that's definitely on my list for the next visit.

One thing to note is that the spices here are the real deal--those who love spicy food were struggling to handle the Thai spicy level, so it's worth being cautious when ordering. Overall, Thai Spice is a great spot for authentic Thai cuisine and a good time with friends.

I absolutely love this restaurant, it's my fave for Thai food in SF! The ambiance is cute and kinda date vibes, although I found it pretty loud in there. They have larger tables for larger parties which is nice! We got in on a weekend night and were seated immediately. My favorite dish is the crispy chicken fried rice. The chicken is cooked to literal perfection, so crunchy yet so tender on the inside. The fried rice is super wonderful as well. The pad see ew was super impressive too, I think it's the best and most flavorful one I've had ever. Duck curry was spicy and an interesting flavor profile in a good way but not my favorite pick since I'm not a huge duck lover. Will definitely be coming back in the future for my fix of Thai food!!

Came here around 7pm on a Sunday night and had to wait around 15 minutes for a table. I don't mind waiting but there was no space to stand inside because the food delivery drivers all pile in to grab the orders that they need, so we ended up having to stand outside in the wind for our table as the drivers went in and out. Not the restaurants fault but the drivers were pushy and rude so it was just frustrating to have to deal with.

I've been wanting to try the Khao Soi but it was a little too sweet for my linking and didn't have as much depth as I would want. The Tom yum noodle soup was honestly pretty bland as well. Sadly, the food didn't meet my expectations.

One set of tables were pretty close together and felt a little cramped, but there's a decent number of seats available. 1 gender neutral bathroom available too.

Not sure if I would come back since there's a lot of good Thai options to explore in the area.

I tried and loved both the Khao Soi and the Drunken Noodles! Each bite is packed with flavor. The Khao Soi I think had fixed spiciness (not too spicy imo) but it was so creamy and the noodles picked up the sauce well. I think the portions for each dish were worth the price. For the noodles, we adjusted spice level and we also asked for hot sauce on the side (tasted like a chili garlic sauce). I ordered the drunken noodles with crispy pork belly and felt that it was a bit dry and didn't complement this dish, but my friend enjoyed it a lot. Protein options can be additional charges as stated in the menu too.

I love the decor and ambiance of the place. A nice date night spot! I saw them accommodate larger groups 6+ but may need to wait if you don't have a reservation.

Extremely popular on a Friday night with a wait time of around 15 minutes for two people. There are plenty of seats, but perhaps it is a bit of a squish in terms of elbow room. Still, the food was delicious and standard price/size that you would find elsewhere in the city. We asked for extra spicy

This is my favorite spot right now in SF for thai cravings! It's perfect for both to go and dine in with a very elegant yet casual ambiance.

Food is delicious -- the pad thai & pad kee mao is a must here! My family loved the roti w/ yellow curry and chicken satay as apps. The chicken satay especially was tender and flavorful -- not chewy or stringy as it sometimes can be. The peanut sauce paired with it deserves its own recognition as well.

Service is great, but things can get super busy during the evening or weekends.

      SERVICE
      - located off of busy Polk Street
      - street parking can be hard to find even on a weekday
      - lots of people doing takeout
      - ambiance inside is very unexpectedly well decorated with plenty of seating in small tables or a long communal table towards the bar
      - servers were in a bit of a hurry to get our order since we came in towards closing time
      - food served quickly

      MENU
      - standard selection of Thai appetizers, entrees, noodles, and curries
      - vegan options on request for most dishes
      - slightly pricey ($18 per entree)

      FOOD
      - veggie and tofu khao soi (9/10): yellow curry with mixed vegetables, soft tofu, and rice noodles. I modified this dish to make it vegan by opting for tofu as the protein, using the yellow curry base, and subbing rice noodles for the egg noodles. The portion looks large because of the bowl it is presented in and could be shared by 1-2 people. The curry base is creamy and spicy without being overpowered by coconut or chili. The vegetables are well cooked and not mushy. I would have liked a few more pieces of tofu as there were only 4 in the entire bowl. The noodles were also well cooked and reminded me of a ramen noodle texturally. Overall a very comforting dish for a chilly night.

WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! The food and the ambiance were very nice. I just wished the price point was slightly lower.
