I'm surprised by the older bad reviews. I don't leave many reviews but my experience was so great I felt obliged. We went in on a lark with my two young kids. The place looks small but their selection was large. We found what we wanted, was helped quickly and had everything delivered to us within a week. It was affordable and we love the quality of the rugs we got. I couldn't recommend this place more.

i went to the store to buy a 3 by 5 piece. there was a short skinny russian jewish loooking guy with grey hair who looked like he was malnourished and was very skinny. the guy was not very knowledgebale and was flirting with two women when i walked in. i made my selection of what was an overpriced piece which the guy showed me. when i gave him my credit card to pay for the piece, he made a remark to me and said " you dont want to let go of your card ". i said to him " no please charge it " but i could not bring myself to do it since he had made the nasty remark to me. i asked for my card back and walked out of the store. please dont go to this location.

I am happy to be the first to write a review. My husband, and I were recommended to come here from a few of our happy family members who came here before. From the moment we talked in, I knew I would find what I need here. They have a wonderful selection. Something for everyone's taste. The worker there named Moses was taking care of us. We explained that we were looking for carpets or rugs. ( couldnt decide just yet). He said it wasnt a problem we was gonna be in our area and he was gonna stop by later that night to take measurements to help us decide which way to go.

He keep his word and was on time. Took his measurements and asked us to stop by the store in the next few days to choose what we wanted. We decided to go with carpets. He showed us different samples that they had. Bedroom only took five mins to pick out and its beautiful! Living room was harder. What what we really wanted was supposed to be ordered from turkey. Could take months and we didnt want to wait. I just didnt like what he was showing me after. I wanted something neutral. He didnt lose his patience with a picky pregnant women. Instead, he worked with me till I finally saw something I was crazy about. I admire how professional he was. Hes main concern was our satisfaction. Luckliy, what I wanted could be ordered in a few days. We got a fair low price and closed the deal. Few days later the installtion we done and we could not be more satisfied.

I love their attention to making the customer happy. There were lot of satisfied customers at the store while we were choosing. They really do have lot to choose from. If ur looking for rugs or carpets please go to them ask for Moses. You wont be sorry.

Who would put a 5 star for this place ? the owner is the biggest lier . Crazy expensive prices I bought a rug from him for $695 horrible quality and he said he will deliver it for free which he never did when I called he says he never said that to me if u want I will send it to u for $45 extra charge but that's not what he said when he places an order ! Hate people like that lier will never go there again and will not recommend that place that's not how u do business ohhh yeah and at the end I ended up paying for delivery which should of been FREE

I purchased a carpet over a year ago from Rainbow Carpet 3 rooms were done but in my wife's room and living room the Carpet started to bubble up not lay flat. I called Frank the owner and right away he is talking Money. I told him I am not going to pay Nothing its new carpeting he is so CHEAP he said its 75.00 I still can't believe he is trying to charge me when his installers are the ones to blame. I regret giving him my business. He said I am busy now I will call you tomorrow I waited till 11 am and he never called so I called and said When was you going to call me. He is the worst. No customer service please Stay away from Rainbow Carpet. No Good money Hungry. Jimmy

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. The worker Moses is the most unprofessional, rude, good for nothing salesman. He is very unethical, promises me certain measurements and then gives me a carpet in a much smaller size than I anticipated. Not to mention I waited for months for this garbage rug. Avoid!

We were looking for a living room rug and came to this store, found it in yelp. Customer service was great and Moses help us to find the perfect rug. He was very helpful and gave us great recommendations! I highly recommend this place!

Great selection, competent and curteous installation, and Frank and Moses could not be nicer. My friends and I use them for all our rug and carpet purchases. Highly recommended.

After reading a few positive reviews my husband and I decided to contact Rainbow Carpet & Rug to install wall-to-wall carpeting in our newly purchased 5-bedroom house in New Hyde Park. I called them this past Saturday afternoon. The man on the phone informed me that the following day, Sunday, he would be able to come out to our new house and take measurements. He took my name and phone number as well as my husband's number. Come Sunday 4:30 pm, our meeting time, and there is absolutely no sign of him. I called the place of business again and there was no answer so I assume it is closed. He had not given me his personal cell number and did not have the decency to call and cancel the appointment. My husband and I waited for one hour on a hot summer day in a totally empty house with no furniture. We drove 35 minutes just to get there and about 35 minutes to get back to our apartment. Rainbow Carpet & Rug is completely unprofessional. They did not have the decency to call me afterwards and apologize or provide any excuse whatsoever. Don't let them waste your time. Please go elsewhere.

Excellent customer service and excellent selection. High quality carpets and rugs. The owner is very patient and knowledgeable. He walked up and down the stairs with me at least 10 times until I finally decided what I wanted. Never once did I feel rushed or bamboozled. Prices can't be beat. Overall, I had a great experience when purchasing wall to wall carpet for my bedroom. Highly recommended.
