East bay has had a serious shortage of decent ramen places for quite some time now. For so long we have been deprived of this noodle masterpiece, often confined and forced to eat it from horrendous places like the one in downtown concord (what's the name of that place again?) Now...Ramen Hiroshi has been unleashed in downtown walnut creek. Freedom has prevailed!
First of, the ambiance was that of a hole in the wall albeit reminiscent of traditional japanese ramen places complete with banners, curtains and alot of red. Definitely appropriate considering ramen is, after all, a street fair.
Next would be the food. Open kitchen, aroma enveloping the area and the sizzling sounds tickle the senses before you even get to tasting. All these add up to the anticipation of your bowl of ramen and when it does come (which will be not too long) you're in for a surprise. The broth is amazing, they have both the light and cloudy types. Both are excellent in taste and the consistency. Toppings; which char siu would be a special mention, is second to none. I swear that roasted pork will drive you nuts! I suggest ordering an extra piece. Their marinated egg also deserve an accolade as it perfectly compliments the ramen with its delicate flavor. The appetizers do not dissapoint. I highly recommend their karaage (japanese fried
chicken) as it makes you wonder why you even order chicken in kfc or popeyes. My personal pick though? The takoyaki! Basically a squid pancake. Sounds weird but you'll thank me later.
Last but not the least, customer service. The typical greet by the door is gloriously present here. Staff shout a welcoming chant in japanese soon as anybody comes or goes. Staff must be treated well as they look happy working. Service is fast and the servers are courteous. Really nothing to complain about...
So why 4 stars? Because this awesome place closes too early!!! Come on guys, ramen is in line with pho as the perfect hangover remedies and downtown WC is full of bars and clubs open late night. Do the community a favor and please open toll 3am on weekends. Lol

Been going here since I was in high school and the flavors have never changed! Amazing food in a cozy little space in the middle of Walnut Creek. Parking is much more easily accessible than when I used to come here years ago so it's even easier for me stop by.

I would recommend the tonkotsu ramen and additionally if you're getting the tan tan men just be warned if you sub the ground pork for chashu, some of that spice will be missing. (The ground pork for tantanmen dishes is normally spicy ground pork hence why my chashu subbed dish wasn't as spicy)

I've gone to Ramen Hiroshi a few times.

It definitely satisfies that ramen craving I have when I don't want to travel too far! The broth is flavorful and addicting. Plus, they have hakata style noodles which are my favorite. Their chicken karaage is nice and crispy. My partner had the tantanmen with the ground pork subbed for pork belly. Without the ground pork, it wasn't as spicy as usual, but the broth creamy and had a nice sesame flavor!

Ramen Hiroshi is a cozy, casual ramen spot in Downtown Walnut Creek. If you're in the area craving some ramen, I recommend!

Went here a while back ago and just now writing my review-- I love this place! My boyfriend and I ate here back in July of '23 and came to retry again today. The food posted here was from our first trip.

If you come here, you HAVE TO get the chicken Karaage!! It's so crispy yet so moist and it pairs well with the citrus of the lemon and the sauce adds a nice creaminess to your palate!

As far as ramen goes, order anything that has the cha-shu! It's always so flavorful and tender!
So far we've tried the tonkotsu shoyu, miso, chicken yuzu and the shio ramen. Out of those 4, I'd say the best were the shio and tonkotsu shoyu. I liked the broths from these two the best.

The restaurant is nice and cozy, with the service always so welcoming and quick. Definitely stop by if you're craving ramen! You won't be disappointed (:

Was craving some good soup on a rainy night, and luckily Ramen Hiroshi was nearby! At 7 PM on Sunday, the place was packed, but we were able to get seats at the counter right away.

I ordered the Yuzu Chicken Ramen because I had never seen that offered at a ramen place before. The broth was citrusy--surprisingly refreshing for hot food! The broth is also not too rich, so you don't feel saturated even after finishing the whole bowl. I particularly liked the toppings added to the ramen, like the lotus root and soft boiled egg.

Even with only one server, the service was great! They even offered to move us from the counter seating to a table as soon as one opened up. Great ramen place, I'll be back soon!

I LOVE this ramen place! If I really want ramen, we go to this spot. Even if we have to cross the bridge. Everything we've ordered is delicious. Karaage, potstickers, tonkatsu ramen, miso ramen, shoyu ramen, and I can't think of what else we've ordered. But we have never been unsatisfied with our food. They are always packed, but service is pretty quick.

We arrived on the earlier side for dinner about 5:30pm, which was the right choice because not too much later about 15-20min the place was packed every table filled and a line at the door.

The restaurant is on the more intimate side, and they had one server for the entire place. She was amazing, working on getting phone orders out the door and seeing to all of the seated customers for the dinner rush. It looked like a 3 person operation and it was impressive.

We ordered the takoyaki, house tonkotsu ramen, and the Yuzu ramen. I really enjoyed my Tokotsu ramen. The broth was perfect and I added a bit of the chili paste and it was the perfect amount of spicy kick. Overall service was a 5, the takoyaki was a 4.5 (I've had fluffier -- they served on the browner side but it wasn't bad just different), and the tonkotsu was a 5, while my partner gave his Yuzu ramen a 4.

Ambiance and vibe was casual and quaint, everyone was dining so peacefully, not a loud/party crowd. Mainly families with small children and couples. Great spot for a calm dine in experience for a consistent and tasty bowl of ramen!

You would be surprised to find a delicious ramen location in Walnut Creek and the restaurant almost feels out of place among all the other stores, but I really enjoyed my experience here! Ramen Hiroshi has a really cozy atmosphere. They also were super busy around dinner time which is always a good sign. It is a tiny little ramen shop in a downtown area that feels a little bit ritzy. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and the broth was delicious! All the ingredients tasted really flavorful and the pork was tender. The service was also really great and everyone was very attentive. The prices weren't bad either. All in all, if you're looking for a delicious and quick bite, this is a great place to visit! Try to get there early around dinner time because they do get busy.

While I personally would rate this a 2 star I am rating it 4 stars! My husband and my picky child really enjoyed this place so I figured maybe it was just me lol. The broth from my ramen had some soy milk in it and honestly the flavor just tasted like coffee which was very strange to me. Personally my ramen was way too experimental for me but maybe I just ordered the wrong thing? The owner was there and she was kind and lovely. The ambiance is nice small but not crammed or anything. It's a cute place. We ordered pork belly and that was really good. I don't think I will return but If you like Ramen, you will probably like this place.
