Moises completed my wood floor repair and refinishing and did a great job. It's not my first time getting my floor redone. He's honest, very reasonably priced (I shopped around) and didn't try to do more work than necessary, like some others, who said that I needed to replace wood planks which I didn't. Also, when I asked if another area of flooring needed to be refinished, he said that a good cleaning would do the job.

He was punctual and completed the job on time. He left everything floor and walls really clean and must had wiped down the walls/trims after sanding. I would definitely use Moises again and highly recommend him.

DO NOT USE THIS GUY! He damaged our floors through poor installation and later caused water damage throughout my house by nailing through a water pipe. I unfortunately saw the good reviews here and gave him a shot, his quotes were much less than others, now I know why.

I asked him if I needed to prepare the wood before installation, he said not needed for red oak. A week after installation the wood expanded and raised in many areas. He came over and said he's never seen it before. He tried to fix it and told me that there's nothing he could do.

A few weeks later water was leaking through the downstairs from a nail he put through a water pipe. The pipe was in between the studs, but Moises missed the studs completely. He would not take responsibility for the damage. He also told me he stopped paying for business insurance even though he is licensed.

I am currently pursuing legal action to recoup some of my damages. Hope this helps some of you avoid a poor experience.

Since writing this review, I have had Moises back to my Mom's house twice. In February, I asked him to do the hallway landing at the top of the stairs because it just looked so, so shabby next to the bedroom floor he had completed in December. As before, the results were more than what I could have hoped for. In May, I asked him to do another bedroom and, again, am delighted with the results. I really can't recommend Moises more highly.

Mr. Ramirez was awesome! We needed to get our condo floors done ASAP. He worked us in his busy schedule within a week of needing it done.

I would recommend him for any wood refinishing job you need. Thanks for doing an amazing job and I hope we run into each other again.

I wish that I could give Moises about a million more stars. Hiring him to work on my hardwood floors was, no exaggeration, the most pleasant, seamless, and rewarding experience I've ever had with a contractor.

On Thursday, I decided that I'd had enough of the ugly fake plasticky flooring in my Mission apartment. I looked up hardwood floor specialists on Yelp and called a bunch of them. I left a message for Moises at 8:30, and he called me back at 10. I explained what I was looking for and asked him if he could come by and give me a quote. He said he would come Monday at 9am

Monday at 9 on the dot, he showed up. He looked at the ugly plastic flooring and said that it would definitely be hardwood underneath and he could definitely pull up the ugly flooring and refinish what was underneath. He quoted me an incredibly reasonable price. I needed the work done quickly, and he said he could start THE NEXT DAY. He was very clear with explaining the process--that it would take four total days and all that it would entail. That's exactly what happened. By Saturday, I had a gorgeous new floor!

Moises was clear, SUPER easy to communicate with by phone and text, he stuck to his schedule, he was patient with a few setbacks that were totally my fault, and the floors look AMAZING. ALSO, I ended up pointing out to him that some pieces of flooring in a different room were also messed up, and he replaced those boards, and sanded and refinished that whole room for the same amount that he had originally quoted for the kitchen! He also polished/finished the entire apartment's hardwood floors at the end of the project (twice, actually, because someone I brought over walked on them when they weren't supposed to and messed them up).

If you have any hardwood floor related needs, RUN DONT WALK to hire Moises! You'll be ecstatic that you did.

I hired Moises and his team to refinish the floors to my entire house. They did an absolutely fantastic job and fixed all the squeaky parts of the floor while being on schedule. If you have a problem with your floors, you can't go wrong with Moises.

Moisés and his crew where absolutely amazing working in our floors. We had original victorian hardwood floors damaged by years of abuse from the previous owner. Moisés carefully replaced the damaged areas, despite us being very nervous, and got us to the natural finish, no stain, we dreamed of.

I really cannot say enough good things about Moisés and his work. Nicest person ever, always on time, dedicated to his craft.

Hired them to do the floor at my business and am very happy with the results! Moises came by the same day I called him to give me a quote. They were available to start within a week, and got the job done in the time frame they quoted me.
Moises, his brother and the whole team did a fantastic job- the floor came out excellent, and they left the place sparkling clean.
The floors needed to be stained, and they had me check out the color and make sure I was happy before applying the poly. Very professional and safety conscientious, wore masks, plastic sealed all drawers so no dust got in etc...

We shopped around and Moises gave us the most competitive rate (very affordable). They came in a few days later and started to work his team was very respectful and clean. Moises and his team did a fantastic job refinishing our hardwood floors, which are more than 20 years old. They restored the wood, which was stained to a dark walnut by previous owners, to its natural color, completing an intense job of sanding and finishing over roughly five days. The floors feel like new and are wonderful to walk on.

Moises was extremely responsive and because we live in the Mission too, when I called him, he came over within 20 minutes and gave me a quote. He started the job right away the next day. This was so important to us because we wanted to move in as soon as possible and Moises was extremely fast and accommodating.
