Osvin came out to inspect and repair my system. He was extremely professional, efficient, and honest with the repair. He fixed the issue and my system has never worked better! I would strongly recommend this company and ask for Osvin as your tech. You wont go wrong!

REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF DUCTWORK IN ATTIC:

From step one, Osvin & Clarisa provided excellent customer service and flexibility with this project. They were very gracious & accommodating when we needed to change our scheduling to complete a previous project.

Osvin's crew arrived as scheduled and were very respectful of the property.

They kept the entry and work area clean and clear of debris during the project.

They completed the project on time as scheduled.

They re-routed the ducts from the last configuration to allow easier access to the attic and attic floor.

We are happy with the increased air pressure and it's nice to have conditioned air to all of the rooms!

Unfortunately for Red Mountain my brother in law is a HVAC tech. I asked them to come out and repair my unit, they did nothing to diagnose the unit or repair it. They stuck an electrical meter/tester on the line where the power goes into the unit and told me see there's power and the unit isn't on. I said I am aware of that please repair it they said the fluid is impossible to buy which wasn't true either. They then quoted me $8500 to replace an air conditioner that didn't include a heater. I said excuse me you are charging me $5500-6000 in labor for one day of labor? Not to be trusted I wanted to warn others as this was a $160 in parts a few hours of work.

To be very clear to the owner response: I specifically asked multiple times to repair it NOT replace it, you refused to even check it and told me you can't get the fluid anymore. None of that was true and frankly I have done many remodels as an investor and knew what you were trying to do. No one should have to pay almost $9000 for a repairable unit.

Permit and Inspection:

While you took out the permit, it was your responsibility to ensure the installation met code requirements. When the inspector failed the installation, it was left to me to find a solution because you had no idea how to fix it. I had to read the code, draw a diagram, propose the solution, and go to the building department. This demonstrates a lack of responsibility and problem-solving on your part, which is precisely the issue I'm highlighting.

Quality of Installation:

The issues I raised are not about wear and tear over time but about the quality of the initial installation:

Materials:

Using pressure-treated wood and scrap rubber instead of more durable and appropriate materials significantly impacted the quality and longevity of the installation.

Sealing Techniques:

The use of black roofing tar was poorly executed and visually unappealing.
Essential Components: The lack of condensate pipes or pans resulted in water pooling on the roof, which is a serious oversight.
Handling and Cutting Techniques: Air handlers were mishandled, and return holes were poorly cut, posing potential safety hazards.

Fastening Methods:

Wood screws were used instead of proper bolts, compromising the security and durability of the installation.

Labor and Warranty:

I understand that your services were for labor only and that you offer a labor warranty. However, professional installation should meet industry standards and local codes regardless of the warranty. The initial installation failed inspection due to safety issues, reflecting on the quality of the work provided.

Communication and Corrections:

The extent of the issues and the initial inspection failure indicated deeper problems with the installation process. My review aims to highlight these systemic issues for future customers' awareness.

Your lack of care in finding solutions and the substandard craftsmanship is evident in the improper sealants, dampeners, and mounts. The overall installation was extremely unprofessional leaving me dissatisfied and frustrated.

This company is phenomenal, even epic!

Their honesty and integrity is beyond any other vendor that I've hired. For example, they came to my home after another vendor had said that i had a furnace crack. Osvin proved there is no furnace crack.

I really like the "no pressure" sales tactic, open communication and work ethic. They went above and beyond with breaking up the cement pad which was too small, scheduled the inspection quickly and they were here to meet the inspector.

I work as a manager for vacation rentals in Sonoma, California. We had some renters at one of our properties when the A/C went out. After the compressor failed in my current AC full home HVAC system, I was faced with the option to try to squeeze more life out of my existing system by repairing the broken component or modernize. After a lot of research, pro/con analysis, and number crunching, I figured I'd go with the modernization route that would improve energy efficiency, run cleaner, provide dual zone controls (upstairs/downstairs), and operate significantly quieter (particularly outside where the spilt unit is right next to our patio). The cost difference to modernize was between 6x-8x the cost to repair the existing system (!), so I had to make sure I picked the right vendor...

For such a big project, I reached out to multiple vendors for quotes and system recommendations. Red Mountain was not only the most responsive throughout the whole process, but had the best pricing by 5%-20% of other quotes for similar systems. Orvin was quick to come on site, meet in person, answer my dumb questions, and build my trust throughout the process.

Once I selected Red Mountain to acquire and install the Bryant dual-zone, variable speed, high-efficiency heat pump system, they had it installed and fully operational within a week! Orvin and his team walked through the house and helped evaluate where to optimize thermostat positions for the dual zone set up and planned the best way to set everything up. And now a few weeks later, I am so pleased with the equipment selection as well as Red Mountain's installation quality. Everything has worked flawlessly since day one, with the home much more comfortable at all times of the day (upstairs and down, still getting used to this) and the outside unit operating essentially silently compared to the previous single-speed system. I've also managed to integrate the thermostats with my HomeKit system using Home Bridge and Bryant's new and pretty good API!

One more thing about Red Mountain worth calling out: their back office team was super well organized with scheduling, permitting, billing, and even helping with acquiring the maximum rebates that I am eligible for given the installed system (several thousand dollars worth). The only thing I would ding them on was not doing a great job cleaning up the worksite when done, but that is super minor all things considered and is something they can easily improve...

It was a pleasure working with Red Mountain as they are one of those rare family-owned businesses that really care about doing a great job at what they do! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs home HVAC installation or maintenance.
