Redwood General Tire Pros

I have been coming to redwood general for over 20 years now. I've had everything done from tire rotations and regular maintenance to engine repairs to headlamp buffing. The things I love
1) free tire rotations,
2) quality service (I've never had to return for any issue with a repair)
3) clean bathrooms for waiting customers
4) Wi-Fi, TV, charging stations for waiting customers
5) reasonable prices, they even consult with me on best and most cost effective way to solve certain problems
6) after hours drop off/pick up
7) good communication and turn around times

Appreciate them being a really solid repair shop.

I did not have a personally good experience

This place was listed as in network with one of the car apps I had. I called and made an appointment including the fact that this was part of Caradvise and needed 5w20. everything seem to be going well.

Day of service I checked in early and informed them again of Cardvise. They looked confused so I called customer service. After customer service spoke with them directly, the service was agreed to and I was on my way to work.

I receive a call AFTER SERVICE saying that the manager Mary had refuse to be part of the network after already servicing my car. Had the company not want to participate they should had said no when I called 4 days prior and I would had gone elsewhere.

In the end I received 0W20 which is not what we had initially agreed to. Had they informed me they were going to do that I would had paid extra for the higher performance oil. my car is over 220,000 miles and needed the high performance synthetic oil as discussed over the phone on Monday October 9. I ended overpaying and not getting what I wanted.

All this could had been avoided had they simply said no when I call to inquire.

Service time: 8-11am
Pick up: 11:40 pm

Will have to get my car double checked by my actual mechanic just to make sure nothing terrible was done.

Moral of story: if your trustworthy mechanic is out of town just wait to get your car serviced.

I made an appointment last week to bring my car in for an oil change. I have used Redwood Tire for my tires on several of my vehicles over the years and always have been satisfied. I arrived on time for my 10:30 appointment today and told them that I would wait for the service, possibly take a walk while the work was being done. About 10:45 one of the employees called me over to discuss some recommended major repairs ( valve adjustment, spark plugs, timing belt and transmission fluid replacement) I did not want to spend thousands of dollars on this vehicle at this point as it is 9 years old and approaching 100k mikes. I agreed to the transmission fluid replacement

Normally I'm never compelled to write reviews but I brought my car in for maintenance a few weeks ago and told them the back right tire had an air leak. I knew this because I had to pump air into that tire every week. I paid $50(!!) for this, and after the work was done they told me my tire was good, only to find out a week later my air pressure light came on and I again had to re-fill the same tire.

Shortly after, I went to a local tire shop in SSF and told them the issue I was having. Within 30 minutes, they identified a nail in the tire that wouldn't have been caught if they didn't remove the tire from the car and the rim from the tire. They also charged me $30 compared to the $50 I spent.

For a shop called Redwood General Tire Pros, they sure don't do anywhere close to a professional - and simple - job with tires. Better off going anywhere else.

Dropped off my vehicle early for 1 thing for them to check up on, they call me a couple hours later and tell me 4 different extra problems, and a whooping prize tag hanging off it with the utmost urgency that is must be done I kindly decline because I need to get a 2nd opinion and confirm there are extra things to be done on my fairly new vehicle, they then tell me go ahead and pick it up it's ready... get there and there no line and a couple of old portly men behind the counter... after 5 minutes of 1 of them doing nothing I said " excu--- " he yells out "CAN YOU JUST GIVE ME A MINUTE IM DOING SOMETHING!!" I reply "just give me my keys, yall called me to pick it up an hour ago it's sitting in the air outside with 1 wheel missing" Long story short 40 minutes later they get my car down batteries dead all kinds of extra stuff going on.... And charges me a hundred for a free estimate, anyways next shop, free estimate, sees nothing extra going on & charges less then half the $2899 this place wanted to charge me? So no ABSOLUTELY NOT HERE LADIES!!!

I rolled in at 10am on a Friday with a screw in a tire and a slow leak. The tire was too old to be repaired so we discussed new tires. I was considering just two, but decided to replace all four with a more appropriate tire. I'm particular about my tires, have certain preferences. Juan said they didn't have the tires I wanted at the shop, but he could get them the same day and have my car ready by the end of the day. I work nearby, so that was perfect. A little before 4pm I get a call that my car is ready. Done early. I picked it up and they had done a thorough, pro job. I'm impressed. Pricing was very fair too. Lots of places have the word 'pro' in their business name, this business really is pro. Thanks to Juan for his courtesy, efficiency, advice, and professionalism. Thanks too to the techs in the service bay who did not have the comfort of A/C on this 80 degree day!

Lost in a different city, but they were there for me! Even tho my tire ate up my car, they still found a way to get me safe back on the road. Most tire shops decline moded cars (stances/chambered/spacers you name it) not them though.

This business showed me how poor customer service can be. I popped my tire this morning and went to Redwood General Tires for help. I bought 4 of my tires here before in 2021z A woman named Dawn who works there was being so short with me and so rude to me when I was just asking questions and trying to find out what to do next with my flat tire. She made me feel so stupid because I wasn't understanding what I needed to replace all my tires instead of the one that just popped. My tires are under warranty and I got regular alignments, but she refused to help me look into my warranty. She said that my tires were damaged because of misalignment when she did not even check to see if it was misaligned. I got an alignment three months ago, but refused to see me paperwork. When they ended up ordering me the correct tire for my car they ended up ordering the wrong one and she was certain that they ordered the right one. If I didn't call back and check then I would've further waste my time and money. She was so rude on the phone making me feel like I was being annoying for calling back and checking in. I was hung up on 3 times and I called back and she sounded so annoyed at me. Didn't apologize or anything. Then she realized that they ordered the wrong tire so maybe me calling to make sure that things were OK was the right thing to do as a customer. Time is valuable and this business does not respect your time. Instead of working with me and trying to help me understand my predicament they treated me like an idiot, and I came out of this experience getting no tires for my car, walking 2 miles to and from work and being late to my patients. My car now needs to be towed back home to a tire store and I hope they will be better than this one. I feel stupid that I even decided to go to REDWOOD GENERAL TIRES in the first place. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!

Always super solid service for tires. Been coming here for years for those.

Was not impressed with mechanical work they did on our Subaru. Ended up having to take it somewhere else to get it fixed. Hence -1 star.
