Santa Clara appliance is open, located a couple miles away. I was happy with it.
used it instead of my dear Reed's Appliance which closed.

I contacted Al because my parents have bought used appliances from him for years and they've had fair experiences. I simply wanted to buy a coin-op washer/dryer set without having to buy brand new ones.

It took a couple months to get the washer/dryer (after being told it would arrive ''tomorrow'' at least ten times). Once we finally got the set, we had nothing but problems and a huge headache. It was an embarrassment to have our tenants constantly contact us with complaints about the machines.

Just to name a few things that went wrong in no time:
- Dryer would start WITHOUT quarters (and worse, it would run for hours with no automatic shut off)
- No keys for either machine (so we couldn't get quarters out)
- Inside of dryer smelled like gas
- Washer had a water leak
- Poor communication overall, whenever we brought up an issue

My husband spent hours of his own time trying to figure out these issues. And he shouldn't have! It wasn't his responsibility - it was Al's job to deliver functional machines in the first place.

We are so let down by the whole experience.

Every time we contacted Al, we got a ''Ya, got it, we'll be there tomorrow'' - just to get me off the phone. Weeks would go by with no updates. I get that he's short handed, but my husband and I were at the end of our rope before we just told him to just pick up the machines.

Funny how he was able to rush over and pick up the machines within an hour, yet we couldn't get any service help for the crappy machines for months.

We found Al to be unresponsive, unreasonable, and unprofessional. It's very disappointing looking back on all of the mornings I started my day calling Reed Supply - trying to get this all finally taken care of - and in the end, I have no washer/dryer and wasted a whole lot of my energy and time.

Great 50 years old appliances store. Al is friendly knowledgeable and personable. A rarity in this day and age.
Reed does not haves bright modern showroom. What they have is honest answer and honest tradition brand. For me: Reed is the place !

I have bought two refrigerators from Reed as well as one small chest freezer. I am so happy with what I got. My refrgerator went belly up in about August 2020. It was so hard to find anything. My best friend offered to buy me the refrigerator of my dreams. I found a great refrigerator at Reed - it had a dent but I didn't care - I just wanted something that would last a while. It was almost $500 cheaper than a brand new refrigerator that was same brand, same model. It has been a year and I am still over the moon happy with my purchase. I got a small freezer at the same time, and that has been GREAT. It is so nice to be able to stock up on food, bread, etc. As I get older, I find that sometimes I cannot get out as often as I. used to. So the freezer is a lifesaver. I am so happy with Reed Supply - I am hoping I will be able to get a hot water heater from them very soon! I think these people run an honest business. And unlike Home Depot, they are not into the wrong politics. I have had nothing but bad experiences with Home Depot. I am so happy to give my business to an honest, inexpensive,. great local business that doesn't put the screws to. you the minute you walk in the door. I think I will always shop here for appliances. I have bought two refrigerators and one freezer from them. I am hoping to buy a water heater from them.

I like Reed Supply. I bought my new Crosley washer and dryer here during the Covid quarantine. The guys here are genuinely friendly. I recommend you also know Patrick Middelton, who is one of the guys who works with Reed a lot (including for appliance installation). Patrick is basically a genius, and anything Reed can't do, Patrick probably can. On the whole, I am very happy with my experience working with these folks, and would do it again.

If you like being ignored by three employees on the floor with no other customer in sight, this is the place for you! However they do just as good a job of treating customers like they're in the way at Home Depot, and Home Depot's floors aren't even caving in.

I purchased a gorgeous Zephyr range hood at a great price from Reed. They were helpful and responsive, and even recommended a great installer.

They have a great selection of sinks and faucets. I plan to get all my appliances there in the future!

CLOSED DOWN. This location is CLOSED and padlockedl. There is no indication of a new site. the phone # still rings but no one picks up after 20 rings. No message or voicemail.

We needed to replace an old microwave/oven combo to be installed into an existing cabinet. Al recommended that I call Tim Burton of Appliance Tek to verify measurements. Al went over Tim's specs, and recommended a Frigidare. We agreed, and bought it. 2 weeks later, it shipped up from LA, Tim picked it up from Reed and did some custom modifications to the cabinet before he installed it.
