Rejuvenate Acupuncture & Massage

I had a done a series of microneedling before, and I was ready for a second round. I did a ton of research and called offices to find the right licensed esthetician for me. I stumbled upon Jewelz' website and immediately felt that she was approachable and friendly. I emailed her and she responded in a timely manner and answered all my questions, which I appreciate. We had some scheduling issues at the beginning, but Jewelz was flexible and we finally were able to schedule in my first microneedling treatment.

She described the process thoroughly so I knew what to expect. My skin has improved immensely since my microneedling treatments with Jewelz. She's also a wealth of knowledge regarding skincare and health.

10/10 would recommend!!

Jewelz was amazing! I went in for Micro needling with the DermaPen for the first time and the experience from beginning to end was so good. She was very attentive and had an answer to the questions I asked. She is extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what she was doing, it made me feel relaxed and at ease to know I was in good hands.

As for the treatment, it is almost painless except for a little pressure and a bit more pain on the forehead. Jewelz did not only do the micro needling but also did acupuncture while I had the numbing cream on!

I somehow stumbled upon the Dermapen procedure when I was looking for a facialist. The process is also called 'microneedling'. I've heard it called 'stamping' as well as 'a natural Botox'. From what I gather, it's an ancient Chinese acupuncture facial treatment that is now being administered through the easy-to-use "Dermapen" of tiny needles that the practitioner uses to either stamp or glide over one's face. The effect is increased collagen to the surface of the skin as it attempts to repair the damage of the needles pricking it, and this effectively helps with melting away fine lines and wrinkles as well as smoothing out acne scars, hyperpigmentation and rosacea.

You'll immediately realize that you're in good hands once you meet Jewelz. She graciously pampers her clients and has a keen eye for detail. The first thing I noticed was that I was invited onto the massage table/bed with a certain eye-pleasing diagonal fold of the sheet. Obviously that is just a simple detail but I write it here as an example of how she goes out of her way to have her clients feel like the little goddesses and gods that we are. I appreciate that.

She has calming, balanced energy and began (and ended) with an aromatherapy inhalation, which definitely set the mood for both receiving and grounding. My chattering mind and mouth immediately calmed.

The extra special thing about Jewelz is that she is a *Licensed Acupuncturist* with a Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, so not only does she understand the body in it's entirety, but she also needles other areas (not just the face), which to me felt like closing the circle, or allowing the body to work with itself more holistically. She needled my calves, feet and hands. So essentially one is receiving an acupuncture treatment as well as the revolutionary Dermapen facial.

The facial includes a cleanser, toner, frozen seaweed treatment (which was lusciously cooling both during and after the Dermapen), a Greek yogurt mask, aloe, hyaluronic acid and a vitamin-rich repair cream.

The process wasn't painful, was slightly uncomfortable at times, but mostly relaxing (!) I certainly was not expecting that, but who doesn't enjoy being pampered and laying down amidst soft sheets on a Monday morning? Jewelz used a numbing cream which took about 20 minutes to kick in, and with that my skin was able to completely tolerate the process. She gave me aftercare instructions of no sun or hot water, and to use a high SPF sunscreen when I do eventually have some sun exposure.

Another extra wonderful bonus is that Jewelz microneedled a burn scar that I have on my leg.

My entire first session lasted about two hours and was worth every penny. I was so pleased I purchased a package of six sessions. I plan to visit every four weeks and will update here with photos as I go along.

Jewelz's treatment room is in the ActivSpace building in the Mission. I was able to find street parking within about five minutes. The room itself is quiet, very pleasantly and minimally decorated, with natural light from the window. I particularly enjoyed the pleasant sounds of the trickling fountain as well as the calming traditional Chinese music, which sounded lovely coming from two different directions. (Another detail I appreciated!)

A wonderful experience, and five stars all around. I think I found my gal!

I went in for a Microneedling Facial last month and the entire experience was wonderful. Jewelz was warm and welcoming and gave me the rundown on the procedure. She goes above and beyond to create a relaxing experience, which helped so much to get me into a good state for the microneedling part. I was a little nervous, but it was totally fine and painless. Overall, this was the best facial I've received! It was great to put my money toward not only a relaxing experience, but one that helped address some of my skin concerns on a much deeper level.

Julie is an amazing practitioner. She did an acupuncture treatment that I didn't even need, as an addition to the dermapen treatment I booked.
She is certified through the dermapen company and has used the dermapen on herself so it was easy to trust her. She knows what she's doing; she made the same strokes of the pen on each side so I wasn't afraid of uneven skin tone or anything.
The acupuncture really relaxed me beforehand too. She was able to pinpoint where to place the needles based on my description of my problem areas.
Truly great experience. She had makeup ready for me to cover up the redness of my skin so I could go to work. Julie is super attentive. I will definitely be going back. Ps, my pores are already shrinking! The dermapen worked like a charm!

I went to Jewelz (Julie) for acupuncture and massage throughout my pregnancy, from 5 months until I was full term. The regular visits were always the most relaxing part of my week and helped me stay calm and centered. Her energy is calming and she incorporates thoughtful touches like aromatherapy and music in her treatments, as well as gives great advice on nutrition. I highly recommend her for prenatal services, both for massage and acupuncture!
