I am interested in a short term rental near Stanford hospital. Would you know of any rentals for 3 months or less?

Dean Smith was incredibly helpful in helping me find an apartment in quick time. We went to one that wasn't quite right but he suggested 2-3 others that we visited the same day and secured the lease the following day. Great service!

Had a two day inspection window open and came home after the end of the second day to find my door wide open. Since I was at my girlfriend's house the last couple days I don't even know how long the door had been open, possibly 36 hours. Art eventually said the door was first noticed open by a neighbor at 9:30am on Tuesday, and I hadn't been at my house since Sunday morning. So my door was closed all day Sunday and Monday then magically came open on Tuesday morning when the inspectors were in the building.

The deadbolt was locked so the inspector could keep the door open, probably to remind themselves that nobody was home, so Art the building manager said I probably locked the deadbolt with the door still open by mistake. lol, I've never even heard of anyone doing that it's so dumb and I wasn't even home Monday or Tuesday but somehow they think I magically appeared at my apartment, locked the deadbolt with the door wide open by mistake then forgot I was ever there. So I said "maybe somebody else has my key and you need to change the locks? Or maybe I should file s police report to see what the cops think happened? Would the inspector be willing to submit a statement so we can figure out who was in my apartment while I was gone?" Of course they don't want to do any of that because they know the genius messing around in my unit locked the deadbolt to keep the door open then forgot about it so it's all a waste of time. On top of that the inspector even said "I saw your door wide open and didn't think anything of it", like to call me or do anything. So now I had to put a camera in my hall pointing at the door to protect myself against the apartment employees because they will come in your house when you're out of town and leave your door wide open then lie about it.

I'll be canceling my lease if they don't do something to rectify the situation, but I know they're corporate and would rather lose a tenant than pay a penny, they want to cycle through tenants anyhow so it's in their best interest as SF landlords. I would avoid this company. Was bad enough for them to come in my apartment and leave the door open for god knows how long but to then turn around and blame me rather than accept any responsibility speaks a lot for the company.

Edit: company investigates themself and finds they're not responsible for anything that happened. Amazing

Do not rent here. This literally was the worst experience in my entire life. They almost killed me!

As very ill tenant unable to work, I have a voucher to help with the costs of rent, so I rented a unit with Greentree Property Management D/B/A RentSFNow.

Problems started right away. While I paid for my portion of the rent online for the first two months (30% of income) they failed to properly process my subsidy payments - mailed by my housing provider. Asked Greentree to look into it and they refused, gave me a boilerplate description of what a three days pay/quit notice was.

They then stopped accepting any rent payments online from me.

What was the problem? A few months went uncashed, one month was cashed and not credited, and every time I tried to communicate with them about what was happening, they would lay the blame solely on me. Well it was their incompetent Austin TX payments contractor that was ripping off the checks and throwing the check receipts out, which specified me as the beneficiary.

They laid the blame solely on me. I followed up with them again and pleaded with them to look into it and they "already sent my case to legal."

The process server failed to properly serve me the unlawful detainer notice. Then their sleazebag attorney challenged the housing court judge for being "unfair" which tied his hands to try and stop the eviction. They literally threw me out on to the street. I was incredibly sick, and became homeless at the time, and this almost killed me. I adamantly demanded I get my stuff out, and out of spite they pilfered from my apartment and stole my possessions they wanted, making it seem like they did me a favour by piling the remainder of my possessions in a tiny room in the basement.

Once my appeal was heard in court, it wasn't enough to get my apartment back but I had the case dismissed.

It doesn't matter if it's their fault or if you have every intention of doing the right thing, it's always your fault with them.

Bottom line: Greentree/RentSFNow happily and cruelly evicts you if they make a mistake.

We had an amazing experience working with Koren Alexander! She was a pleasure to work with from start to finish -- on time for showings, incredibly communicative, great knowledge of the city and truly went above and beyond to show us multiple places that suited our needs. Even when we faced some technological issues on our lease, she worked tirelessly to resolve them, showing great empathy and professionalism. I highly recommend Koren if you're looking for someone who makes the rental process smooth and stress-free cause she absolutely slays it!!!

Dean Smith is the best leasing agent in San Francisco! From the moment we met, I was struck by Dean's friendly, courteous, and charming demeanor. His extensive knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area and the housing market is unparalleled. I had picked out a couple of apartments to look at, and after our initial meeting, Dean suggested another nearby apartment that he thought I would love. He was 1000% correct! This apartment is absolutely incredible, boasting so many features I was looking for: including a building with Edwardian architecture, high ceilings, an updated floor plan, and all within my price range.

Dean went above and beyond to make sure that I got into this amazing apartment, which he did not have to do, nor do I know of many leasing agents who would have invested the time and energy into helping me move in.

Last year I lost my job, which put me in a financial hardship. Coupled with some other circumstances my move-in plans were delayed. But Dean and his team at RentSFnow put people first and worked tirelessly with me throughout the entire leasing process. Dean was incredibly patient and consistently reassured me that everything would work out. Thanks to his dedication and support, it did!

Dean made my dream of living in a beautiful one-bedroom apartment in the heart of San Francisco a reality. His professionalism, empathy, and expertise transformed a slightly stressful experience into an enjoyable and smooth transition. Dean intuitively knew this amazing apartment would be an awesome fit for me and I'm so glad it is! I am immensely grateful for his help and support and know that I am living here because of Dean.

I would 1000% recommend renting through Dean and RentSFnow If you're looking for a leasing agent who truly cares about your needs and works relentlessly to find the perfect home for you, Dean Smith is your go-to person.

Thank you for everything, Dean! You have made a significant impact on my life, and I am beyond thankful for your exceptional service. If you are in the apartment or housing market, make sure Dean is at the top of your list because he'll make sure that you are at the top of his priority list as well!

This review might sound over the top, but when a rental agent goes from being a complete stranger to your HERO in a week, it's worth this kind of mention. Steven Shutler is the best of the best. Helped us land a fantastic apartment. Complete a crazy-complicated app with future roommates in Ibiza, Laos and Singapore. Couldn't have been more responsive. Or kind... How did we get so lucky?!! Now I've saved you weeks of headaches and heartache. Steven Shutler!

We have had such an incredible experience with Cody Kuster. He made every step of our rental process seamless, answering every question that we had, and then some. He has gone above and beyond to ensure our cross country move goes smoothly. Thank you so much, Cody! It's been a joy working with you!

I had the pleasure of being introduced to Dean Smith who has been a great leasing agent. Make a long story short. Once he asked me not to get involved in
negotiations because it just confuses things with all parties involved. I agreed and the next morning he texted me with great news of the approval. That only speaks of his professionalism. His personality is genuine as a real friend would be as far as making you feel comfortable to speak and laugh with.
Dean keep up the great work your doing for people. It's hard times out there and dealing with you just takes that extra pressure away. Thank you for helping me start a new chapter in my life. I really mean that man. You rock buddy. Best wishes and happy holidays to you and all who reads this.
