I had two minor, but annoying, problems with my Bosch dishwasher. I contacted several repair shops and they said they do not service Bosch. One of those shops was nice enough to send me a list of people whom they thought serviced Bosch and Repair Shop Santa Cruz was on the list. Sometimes things work out exactly as they should.

First, the Repair Shop Santa Cruz website is excellent. The brands they service are listed and you can make an appointment online. No more calling around and then trying to mesh schedules. I used the website to verify that Repair Shop Santa Cruz would service a Bosch dishwasher and then booked an appointment for a day and time that worked for me. The website is also clear that you are booking a 2-hour time window. For example, I booked "11 a.m.," but that means between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. No problem, given that the timing is clearly explained.

Second, Chris came out on the day and within the time window I had scheduled. He immediately fixed one problem, but had to order a part to repair the other issue. He gave me an accurate sense of how long it would take to get the part and when he would be back to make the repair.

Third, Chris was very understanding and flexible. My husband and I unexpectedly went out of town before the part came in, so Chris could not come back to make the repair as soon as he had planned. I offered to pay him for the initial diagnosis because it wasn't fair to leave him hanging, but he was easy-going about it and said it wasn't a problem. When we returned, I texted Chris and he came back to finish the work.

Fourth, settling the bill is as easy as making the appointment. Chris e-mails the invoice and you have a variety of options for how to pay.

Chris was also a nice person. I will absolutely call Repair Shop Santa Cruz, again, and I will recommend Chris to anyone I know who needs appliance repair in the area.

Chris was such a good communicator, thorough, honest and fair. When he realized one part just needed some cleaning and didn't need to be replaced, he cleaned it and lowered the quoted price. I was absolutely delighted with his excellent work and have referred many friends to him already.

Big bonus points for being so sweet with my dog who tried her best to intimidate him but then quickly started gifting him with her favorite toys!

We discovered a small leak under our built in refrigerator. We called a number of repair shops and nobody wanted to work on our built in Thermador refrigerator. We called Chris and explained the situation. He said he works on all makes of appliances. He came out the next day to evaluate the job. He explained that without pulling out the refrigerator, he couldn't give a diagnosis. He gave us the most it could cost so we wouldn't be shocked. He explained things all the while. In the end, he fixed our refrigerator leak at a very fair price. We are very happy with Chris and the work that he did. He knows his stuff! A really nice guy to do business with! We would definitely hire him again!

I have used Chris twice in the last few months and I highly recommend him. The first visit was for older commercial dryers and this latest was for an older built in oven. Easy to schedule online, prompt, knowledgeable, friendly and reasonably priced. Any of those attributes are almost impossible to get these days. If I have an appliance issue in the future Chris will my first contact.

Chris came to the house, on time, and professionally assessed the condition of our machine. He quickly offered a replacement for 'near the cost of repairing the old one' for around $600 cash. Before I went to the bank, I checked the business license on the invoice for the assessment. The license comes back to STEWART ELECTRIC CO in Grenada Hills, expired in 1995. Chris, I'm paying you for the assessment, no thanks on the offer, though - perhaps that # was a typo? I hope so, you are a nice guy.

Chris is the greatest. He is super nice and will do everything in his power to get your appliance up and running again. He was able to repair our Viking range when other shops refused to even service that brand. I will be calling Chris for all my appliance repairs in the future.

Chris is a great guy, very knowledgeable about appliances, and really and truly cares about his customers. He is very pleasant, and easy to work with. He takes the time to explain to his customer exactly what the problem is, as well as the solution. He will do the job right, and you will be satisfied with his work. I called him to take a look at my leaky washing machine, and chatted with him while he took it apart to inspect all of the possible sources of the leak, explaining each one to me as he went. He also walked me through his diagnostic process. I highly recommend Chris and Repair Shop Santa Cruz.

Our dishwasher stopped working. Carson made time to check it out really quickly when other shops were saying "well, maybe we can come check it out in a few weeks". He identified the problem, got the parts, kept me posted when one of the parts shipped was incorrect, and got things fixed and running. Super polite and conscientious as well.

Chris responded very quickly to my inquiry and was out to my house within a few days after booking on his easy-to-use scheduling platform. Highly recommend his services for any household appliance needs. Reliable, honest, professional and kind.
