This auto repair shop, Repairs on Wheels, is very reliable, extremely professional, honest, and gets the job done! Not to mention, the process was quick & reasonably priced. 41 reviews with a perfect 5 star rating speaks for itself. That was the major reason why I ended up choosing this shop, out of all the other repair shops in the area.
My boyfriend was in major need of an oil change & an alignment. The managers (Alex & Dennis) were very professional and honest throughout the process. They informed us that they do not do alignments, and explained the reasons why they did not do it, which was appreciated. Although they could not do the alignment at the shop, they were both very helpful and offered to recommend us to someone they knew who could do the alignment (which we forgot to ask).
The mechanic did a very thorough inspection of the car, and informed us that the front tires and brakes also needed to be changed (besides the oil). The part my bf & I Iiked about this shop is that the mechanic & Dennis showed us how damaged the tires & brakes were, and explained what they would do to fix it. And, we both appreciated the thorough breakdown of the prices which were very reasonable. When the car was fixed, my boyfriend was very pleased with the results. This shop is definitely very reliable.
Besides great service & reasonable prices, this shop is very convenient (it is opened 24 hours). The staff are wonderful, and results do show. I highly recommend Repairs on Wheels for your auto repair needs.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Alexandra R.Brooklyn, NY012Mar 1, 2024

When it comes to auto repairs, it's very hard to find someone you can trust, thankfully I found the one.

I contacted this service after I bent a wheel rim on the inside due to a hole on the FDR. The wheel remained on the car. A friendly receptionist suggested leaving the car for 4 hours due to the large number of orders and preparing $ 120+. I agreed. Half an hour late they called me and told me to pick up the car and that it was impossible to fix my wheel (!!!). When I came to pick up the car, I asked for an explanation as to why the (slightly) bent rim could not be straightened. In response, I heard many "smart" arguments that the wheel is not repairable. One of the reasons was that the disk is not original but an aftermark). I decided to just grab the car and never contact this service again. But they asked me for $25 before giving me the keys. Had to pay. The next day I fixed my wheel at Brooklyn Tire Warehouse at Neptune Ave Brooklyn, no questions asked!. For 100.

Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 28, 2022Previous reviewBought my car here Last year for a whole entire engine replacement I paid $3700 CASH For parts & labor..flash forward to today I drop my car off by tow with AAA To these guys AGAIN because I have had no problems since having the engine replaced and I figured since I had a warranty on this engine if it's a issue with it I would be covered to get whatever it is replaced. Well I received a call at 2pm basically telling me it's alot wrong with the engine, I need a new alternator, drive belt, belt tensioner and water pump (replaced my water pump 7 months ago... I'm given a quote of $1800 for parts and labor.. I say that's fine but I have been a past customer..CAN YOU WORK WITH ME??!! I need 2 weeks to pay off the $1800.. I'm then told they need a deposit to start and the work will be done in 2 days and I will be charged storage fees of $45 PER DAY Until I pick it up... EXCUSE ME??! This is what you call working with me??!!! I then received ANOTHER Call AT 9pm That NIGHT basically saying what are you going to do, pay to get it fixed or NOT?? Ummmm NO NOT FOR $1800 that y'all want inn2 DAYS!!! I said I will be up there tomorrow to get my car, NOT ONCE WAS ANY DIAGNOSTIC CHARGES EVER Mentioned to ME!!! I contacted them this morning and said my friend is coming to get my car, NOW They say you must pay a $125 diagnostic fee BEFORE WE RELEASE YOUR CAR!!!! EXCUSE ME??!! This was NEVER MENTIONED NOR DID I PAY A DIAGNOSTIC Fee last Year when I paid YALL $3700 cash for a new engine!!! Their reply is if you would have gotten it fixed here we wouldn't have charged you!!!! IF I KNEW YALL WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A FREE ESTIMATE FROM MIDAS OR MEINEKE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!!!! I Actually liked their work they did for me last year, but THIS BACK HANDED SLIME BALL Way that their handling me over $125 has caused them to lose a Loyal customer!!! NOT To mention how much they hiked up their parts fees!!! I have compared from another website and BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!! I LEARNED MY LESSON.. I'm STAYING AWAY, YOU DEFINITELY SHOULD TOO!!!!!

These guys are legit. They have an incredible operation here and get things done. Alex knows cars and his team is on top of things for their customers. Your wheels will come out looking new at a reasonable price. If your rim is beyond repair they're even proactive and look for a replacement for you. This is what customer service is all about.
I recently found out They also do more than wheels! Our inspection was due and they were able to take care of that easily also. You'll be in good hands here and rolling again quickly.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1Business owner information

Fast easy friendly service at a fair price and high quality. Near a subway stop so easy to access. They've done 2 wheels and I'll likely be back again.

Between 2015 and 2016, this shop charged me (over the course of numerous visits) over $6000 for various jobs on my two vehicles, each of which left the shop with more problems than it came in with.
Car#1: 1996 Cadillac Deville. Symptoms: check engine light on, black smoke from exhaust, running rough.
Repairs on wheels charged me to replace all eight spark plugs, which did not solve the problem. They then "changed" a faulty coil pack, for which I was charged another $700. An independent inspection specialist later confirmed the coil pack was never changed.
Car #2: 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. Symtom: loss of lower, check engine light on. Leak from front main seal on engine. Repairs on wheels replaced the fuel pump. After picking the car up and driving less than a mile from the shop, the engine overheated and coolant sprayed everywhere. I had it towed back to Repairs on Wheels. They claimed the thermostat was faulty, charged me to replace it, and sent me on my way. Within 5 miles of driving, I noticed an erratic idle, random engine surging with no gas pedal input, and occasional stalling.
Once again I brought it to Repairs on Wheels. The front main seal they replaced was now leaking even more severely than when they replaced it. They informed me that the car's computer was faulty and needed replacement. This was another additional several hundred dollars and did nothing to solve any of the existing isses.
Two full weeks pass. Finally I called and asked if any work was being done on the car and was informed it was parked in a lot outside. The attendant they sent to retrieve it promptly smashed the front chrome bumper into a support pillar for the elevated train above, causing a fist-sized dent that could not be fixed and I had to replace the bumper at a different shop.
On the way to the next repair shop, it overheated again.
Finally, I sold both cars. The new owner of the Fleetwood Brougham later told me that the front main seal had never been replaced, the incorrect computer had been installed (and probably for no reason), and that the ultimate culprit of all of these issues was the fact that the original replacement fuel pump they used was incorrect. This caused erratic fuel flow which affected the oil and coolant pressure, among other things.
I was charged over $6000 for highly incompetent work that caused further damage to both vehicles. I am fully prepared for the shop's owner to fully rebut all of this, but thankfully I've saved every receipt and work order. The level of dishonesty and outright thievery that I experienced here is not something I would recommend to anyone. Instead of taking the time to properly diagnose each issue, they simply replaced random parts with faulty incorrect ones and charged me thousands for the privilege.
Alex was quite lovely in person and when preparing a work order, but his attitude changed rapidly once I kept bringing the vehicles back in (which was their fault, as I wouldn't have had to return at all if the jobs had been done correctly in the first place).
Frankly, Repairs on Wheels, shame on you.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Chris G.Brooklyn, Brooklyn, NY061Oct 30, 2023
Been using these guys as my main mechanic for about a year or so. I'm very apprehensive when it comes to mechanics however these guys are thorough. They get to the issue within a reasonable time even if they're busy. Alex the owner runs a tight ship and their staff is knowledgeable. I recommend them.

I cannot recommend Repairs on Wheels to others. The price for the work they quoted was 2x that of other businesses in the area. In addition, when I refused the service I was told the labor charge for diagnostics was $75, when earlier that morning I was told this was $45.
My advice to management is to be clear about your bench fees up front and do not take advantage of your customers with inflated service charges.Helpful 0Thanks 2Love this 0Oh no 0
