I've been going to Retro Junkie for years. Always loved this place. In the last year it's gone from this cool 80's club with a friendly vibe to a really terrible vibe with terrible 90's hip hop music and a whole different crowd of people. They still have cool cover bands but it's turning into every other club in the East Bay. It's sad cause this used to be such a great place.

$20 cover and an hour of slow jams. F'in sucks man. Could be a fun spot but both will lead to me not returning. Bartenders are great. Very nice and attentive. DJ is great and very kind and friendly. Takes requests but is at the mercy of the owner. Owners agenda ain't the one. Just buy alc on your own and drink at home and create the vibes you want there.

Had a disappointing experience at Retro Junkie recently. We were shocked to be asked to pay a $20 cover fee. That seems way too high, especially since there wasn't even a live band, just a DJ, and there wasn't a line to get in. The lady at the door was rude to us. We expected a fun night out, but this left a bad taste in our mouths. Be aware of hidden fees and poor customer service if you're planning to visit!

It was my first time there and I had a blast! My new favorite spot. We got to enjoy Sponge, they were great.
We started in the pool room with a drink to watch the end of the Lakers game, then when the music started we went to the main room. Lots of open space to stand AND you can reserve comfy couch areas ahead of time. Outdoors was awsome too! Fresh air, food truch, big screen TV, DJ set up for later, lots of parking AND....my dog can come!
Everyone working there from the gal that checked in our tickets, security, bartenders and servers were all super friendly. We left excited.

We had an amazing time at this incredible establishment. The ambiance was top-notch, with a spacious outdoor patio adorned with heaters and a magnificent large screen TV. The indoor area boasted a comfortable amount of seating, as well as a captivating stage and dance floor.

Initially, we were a bit apprehensive about the crowd, as we had heard it was more geared towards a younger demographic. However, our worries were quickly dispelled when we discovered that it was Elvis impersonator night, and the crowd consisted of individuals around my age. It was a delightful surprise!

While the drinks were on the pricier side, it's important to consider that it had been quite some time since I had visited a bar. So, in retrospect, the prices may not have been as exorbitant as I initially thought. Our bill came to a total of $73, including two soft drinks and four mixed drinks, plus a generous tip. My only complaint in this area is they have no kitchen. The only choice for food or snacks is a food truck.

To my delight, my daughter enjoyed herself and even expressed a desire to return in the future. It's safe to say that our visit was a resounding success!

Last weekend was my first time here and all I can say is, "where has Retro Junkie been all my life!" I thoroughly enjoyed myself and so did the group of friends I was with. We saw a Prince cover band and they were fantastic. The vibe was perfect, the drinks were yummy, and I received fabulous customer service the next day when I had to return to retrieve my phone I left there. The head of security, Trevor, and the rest of the security crew were friendly and accommodating. No one made me feel like a 'stupid drunk old lady', which then made me feel like I can't wait to return for more fun.
They have all these cool pinball machines pool tables, and other "retro" games available to play. The décor is funky and the outdoor music was booming. I wanted to stay and have a drink, but I was still recuperating from the night before. You have to check this place out. So so fun!

A total dump. Just stayed for awhille since it was so dark and dingy. Not recommended for women since it was a total dive bar.
