What a fun spot!

I came here to grab a drink with a friend and it was both our our first times. It's pretty easy to get to. There is an elevator in the Sawyer lobby right at the entrance, and you take it to the thirst floor to get to Revival. Upon arrival we were greeted by a hostess. We had a reservation so we had no waiting period. We were seated at a booth, and helped within five minutes.

The cocktails are pretty pricey ($18 each for the Pink Panthers). although, they are super tasty! We loved the Pink Panthers. It does have egg in it which I thought was interesting.

The ambience is truly unmatched. There is a beautiful view of DOCO, and huge pool, vibey lighting, good music, and beautiful decor. It's an indoor-outdoor set-up, so the patio was partially covered and partially not.

I love it. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Revival at the Sawyer



Revival at the Sawyer is an amazing spot in Sacramento! Located on the third-floor pool deck of the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel, it offers stunning views of Downtown Commons. The venue has a fantastic vibe, perfect for a night out or a special event. I can easily see this place hosting some epic pool parties in the future!

One of the highlights is the drag queen performances, which add a unique and entertaining touch to the experience. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the evening.

Overall, Revival is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun and vibrant spot in Sacramento. The combination of great views, good vibes, and unique entertainment makes it a standout venue.

I hadn't been to this rooftop in at least 4 years! I was surprised to see the aesthetic changes they've made.
I went for a birthday celebration on a Tuesday. The establishment was not busy when I arrived around 7:30pm. Max there was about 35 people there, 15 of which were there for the birthday celebration.
I sat and waited to get a drink until my friend was ready to get her second drink. When we approached the bar- which was virtually empty- there were four people at the bar- it took a good 5 minutes before we were acknowledged. My friend already knew what she was getting , but I didn't. I had to ask the men next to me for their drink menu because the bartender didn't offer one or acknowledge me when she asked my friend what she wanted to drink.
After taking care of my friend, she moved on to two women next to us , again , without acknowledging me. I knew all I was asking for was a glass of wine, so it was kind of frustrating to have to wait for someone else's cocktail to be made when I could've already joined the rest of my friends, had the bartender taken both my friend's and my order at once.

I ordered a glass of chardonnay. The Chardonnay wasn't even cold & though I had that label before, it didn't taste the same. Honestly, it tasted like it was a day old bottle. I did take a sip of my friend's drink, she ordered a Oaxacan Old Fashioned; the drink was very strong- but the mixology just wasn't there.

This rooftop was much better when it first opened, in my opinion, or maybe I just went on a bad day.

Not much to say about the place. There was a dozen of us. Gave us a hard time to get in. And when we get in, we're we're brought to the outdoor table/cabana. We're chose three different alcohols we were planning to order. But then we get told there is no bottle service. NO BOTTLE SERVICE!!
The place is nicely decorated and the rooftop was somewhat aesthetically pleasing. That's bout it.

It's a vibe! Love the decor and the ambiance. Feels super upscale. It's very intimate to me. It's the bar/lounge of the hotel Sawyer, but feels like a place of its own.

It's open to the public you don't have to be staying at the hotel to visit. Go during sunset golden hour, the views are spectacular. The pool outside just makes it feel so calm.

They do serve food not just bar drinks. Bartenders are work fast but usually attentive. The drinks are okay. Presentations always a 5/5 and it's tasty, but not much alcohol.

I'd recommend this spot if you're looking for low key atmosphere for a small talk or relaxed night. Not so much for a bar night out. Maybe you can start here but won't be the vibe you're looking for for an actual night out. There is music but it's more of a lounge.

I have visited Revival twice . Last nights service with the bar was a total joke . The bar tenders have no personalities and also for it being a week night our drinks took at least a total of 30minutes to make two rounds. Yes the drinks are made delicious. But something has to change. I also ordered 2beers that tasted entirely flat and they were not cold. I complained and they sent a manager and she stated that the bar was closed . Clearly she did not want to fix two beers . Mind you there was still a good amount of company throughout the bar and it should not have been an issue at all. I found that entirely rude and the way she said it was even ruder. I was a paying customer and it's not my fault that the beer was flat! For this being a popular hotel in Downtown Sacramento this bar needs a step up with their service. I literally walked out .

Love this place. The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing. The pool is perfect for some rooftop fun too. Nothing like having the best of both worlds in one place. I will be back for tiki night Thursday June 13th!

Small bites in menu is great!

GAMBAS AL AJILLO is herb & butter shrimp with baguette slices. Light and filling. Very yummy.

For their PICA, they had prosciutto wrapped-honeydew melon slices.

I should have stopped here, but I ordered while I was hungry so I also had SALPICON which were octopus slices on a bed of veggies.

My server was super friendly, fast and accurate.

Space is beautiful.

I've had multiple great experiences here, it's become one of my go-to spots. I love the classy rooftop atmosphere which is great for pictures. I recently came here for a friend's birthday and we were seated by a bonfire outside which had a great view of the fireworks over the city. Our server was very sweet and acommoadating. I wouldn't necessarily come here for the food because I personally think you could get more for your money somewhere else. However, it's a great place to lounge, socialize, and have drinks. I also ordered the crème brûlée cheesecake which was amaaazing! Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere to end your night in sac!
