Nice little gem we found in the public market
Had the Chicken meatballs with lemon rice and roasted veggies
Was amazing

A perfect lunch spot or for takeaway, this Italian meat lovers dream will hit it out of the park for you. Located inside the Victoria Public markets, it has some sitdown seating to eat there or you can takeaway. Had the meatballs which were dense and meaty (not a lot of fillers) and flavorful with a topping of Arrabiata sauce and a little pesto drizzle too. Delicious! There's also a focaccia pizza and pasta sister restaurant attached that looked tasty too!

Food was delicious, had the roasted chicken bowl. Chicken was juicy and tender, the roasted veggies were amazing and so were the potatoes. The service was also wonderful! A must visit!

Porchetta!!

I came for porchetta!!!! And I got some too. This place is inside the market place. It's like other markets places minus the crowd.

The food: rotisserie chicken! Roasted porchetta!! Porchetta bowls! Sandwiches!! Side rice and veggies.

I came in for the combo thing but ended up just getting 2 different kinds of meat. The porchetta and the half a chicken. Chicken was a little dry but chopped right off the rotisserie for me! It was tasty. Very lean. The porchetta!! My favorite. This one however is made non traditional Italian way though: that lemon herb flavoring sort of ruined it for me.

Probably the best meat spot Victoria! No fuss meat spot! I'll come back for a porchetta sandwich next time!! A solid 3.5!!

Had the salad with beef. Giant thing, very tasty with poppadew (sic) peppers. Pork skin was excellent as well. Check it out if you're in Victoria.

My husband and I couldn't resist the look of the porchetta as we waited in line to order. A giant rolled roast with dark golden crispy exterior that cut like butter as it was chopped being up for sandwiches and more. I opted for the porchetta bowl and he for the porchetta sandwich. That chimichurri sauce is off the chain! Yes, I just said off the chain and no regrets.

If you're looking for something quick but absolutely delicious, you gotta try Roast. Not to be confused as a coffee shop, they specialize in meat & sandwiches. I would also like to include that they make a MEAN salad! But I'll get to that. There is so much to this little shop inside the market and you'll find yourself continue to go back time and time again.

I've been going to Roast for a few years now and I have tried everything on the menu from porchetta to chicken meatballs and I go through different rotations of what I order. Currently, I love ordering the meatball bowl with kale cesar and mixed veg. They have choices like: Kale Cesaer Salad, Rice, Mix Vegetables or Roasted Potatoes. All the choices are good! Check it out if you're looking for something delicious and dependable.

This is the keto eaters dream spot to visit. They have incredibly cooked meats and their chicharron are amazing. I will stop here and pick up a couple of their rotisserie chickens for dinner, which will fee my family and provide me with a great lunch the next day. The chicken is top notch and not like the slimy rotisserie chicken you find in some grocery stores.

They also do an amazing kale salad that you can have with your choice of protein. If I need a quick and high quality meal, this is where I come.

There was a huge line when we got there but quickly died down as we went to venture rest of the market..
We got the porchetta bowl with kale cease and rice for $10

The sides are nothing special, in fact the rice is just plain old white rive. The porchetta did have a nice crunch but very small amount given... Not sure what the big craze is about... It's average... Had better porchetta but I suppose not much choice in victoria

This place is being run by the proverbial inmates. The ninkumpoops there are clueless. Too bad. Typical millennial malaise...churning out bad attitude and arrogance. And it's expensive! Why it has a two dollar rating is bizarre!!

The Hudson public market is chronically failing because these businesses are chronically dysfunctional.

The only consistently good business in the market is the French bakery. But now that you can't park in the causeway it's not worth the effort to stop in there and pick something up.

Perhaps the meat shop selling less tortured animals than thrifties is good?

The pie shop is consistently subpar.

The olive oil store was good last time I tried it.

Overall ...So sad. Victoria is an anarchists angry mess.
