Craving for pasta last night and we look for a new place around the neighborhood. Thanks to Yelp, we have found this gem!!!

Easy reservation via Yelp and we were seated immediately once we got there. Everyone has a smile on their faces and you immediately feel welcome. The decor is chic and welcoming. Nice vibes

We had calamari as the starter. 5/5
DS has the Fettuccine Ala Rocca. I had a bite of his and it's heavenly. 6/5.
Hubby got their special - linguine tutto mare - 5/5
I got the linguine fra'diavola (clam and mussels in wine sauce) - 5/5

We all cleaned our plates. What a delicious and satisfying meals! This might become our new go-to pasta spot. We'll be back for sure.

Rocca has been consistently good for many years. We've never had a bad meal here.

Since it's a real restaurant, not some chain location, I was able to order veal piccata, although the menu had chicken piccata. No comment by the waiter, and the veal piccata was excellent, priced the same as veal Marsala.

DH had the lasagna, which he loved. He also loves the complimentary bread which is served with an herby oil dip.

I stopped in here for dinner while visiting from out of town on a work trip. I had the gnocchi and splurged on a desert (chocolate mousse). The meal was flavorful with quality ingredients. Service was above par. The space was clean and well done. I had a great experience and only wish I had another night to come back to try another entree.

Me and my coworkers stayed in San Francisco for a layover and we were craving Italian and luckily I found this restaurant! I loved the atmosphere, it seemed like it was ran by a lovely family. Not sure if it is, but the service was amazing. Once we were out of water they were there. So friendly and welcoming. The complementary bread and oil was delicious. I could've kept eating that, but had to save room for my entree. The bruschetta was flavorful and garlicky. Just the way I like it. Calamari was great. My ravioli bolognese was a 10/10. Had lots of meat in the sauce which I enjoyed.
My coworkers were satisfied and thanked me for bringing them there. So was I! Thank you for an amazing experience and lovely service.

Date night! We were seated right away without a reservation on Memorial Day. Staff was super nice. Very attentive and kind. Our server was very helpful w/ recommendations for our first visit. I had the capellini pomodoro and it was bomb! Calamari was cooked perfectly and the Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon blanc was paired nicely!

Street parking was easy. Great night w/ great food!

I've been trying to explore the Broadway area of Burlingame a lot more lately and came across Rocca Ristorante and got to finally try this restaurant during my lunch break. The atmosphere is definitely the type of place you go to for a special occassion, but it's still a nice place to go for a casual lunch. It wasn't very busy either so it was easy to get a seat. The dim lit interior and the great service was definitely very comfortable.

Our waiter was super friendly. They also give complimentary bread and olive oil/vinegar. He mentioned a few special dishes and as soon as he said Lasagna, my ears perked up and I asked how much it costed. Which was $22.50 which is around the price tag of all of their pastas.

The lasagna arrived and looked very appetizing and it was honestly really good. They also can add extra cheese on top of your pasta which is always a plus. The sauce they used tasted very fresh and so were the rest of the ingredients used. It was definitley one of my favorite lasagnas I have had in a while.

I got to try some of the Linguine Fra' Diavola and the muscles and clams were very fresh. I would definitely recommend that pasta dish as well.

Honestly, a 10/10 experience coming here and I can see myself coming back here.

Always up to trying new paces to eat! Yes of course we have our favorites but this past Easter Sunday I just wanted to try some place new! Thanks to Yelp who put this hidden gem in our path!

This restaurant was amazing from the food down to our Server DREW! The food super yummy except for two dishes! The Veal Parmagiano was too thinly sliced and sauce kind watery & the Calamari fritsi was too rubbery! Sorry that's it!

Everything else was amazing and yes we will return! If you go, ask to sit in his area!

We came to this spot for a galentines dinner & it was honestly the cutest. They had decorated the inside with pink & red balloons. Our table was also sprinkled with rose petals.

Everything was so good! The fettucine was so good & the tortellini was packed with goodness in every bite. Our server was also super chill and always came to check on us.

My group of 5 were in Burlingame for the Outsourced Clinical Trials conference on 5-7 Feb and on 6-Feb I discovered this wonderful Italian restaurant, in downtown, and we LOVED our dining experience.

Our waiter, Drew, was amazing and filled with recommendations on his favorite choices, not driven by price but truly based on the dish, whether an appetizer, or entree and dessert!! If you go to Rocca, ask for Drew!

For appetizers, Drew recommended and I recommend the Calamari Fritti,
fresh squid calamari rings (no legs) with cocktail & tartar sauce! Drew and I also recommend the Rotellini di Melazane, oven baked eggplant rolls stuffed with ricotta cheese, roasted garlic with marinara & touch of cream sauce. Those two dishes could make a fabulous meal in itself, . . . .but we were five on a business trip!

I had the Canneloni special and it was absolutely delicious. My team had other pasta and meat dishes, but they didn't share so I can't comment on their dishes, but I know everyone thought each dish was spectacular!!

Dessert that was shared was the tiramisu, of course, and the bread pudding. Delicious!!

Hands down a hidden gem and new favorite Italian spot I've added to my Yelp list! I was on the hunt to find an Italian spot for my friend's birthday and I stumbled upon Rocca Ristorante on Yelp. The menu looked promising so we decided to do a walk in on a Sunday night.

We walked in around at 7PM and immediately loved the old school, classy, cozy vibe that the restaurant emulated. From the front door you could also see a second floor of seating, which allowed for high ceilings. We were seated within a few minutes -- the host even asked if we preferred a table or booth. Our server was just as friendly! And there was another individual always topping off our waters.

My husband and friend started off with a margarita and a martini and WOW they were strong - definitely in a good way!

Overall, portion sizes were great but the flavors were even better!

APPETIZERS ----
- Calamari Fritti: Perfect amount of breading and the flavor was on point. Calamari was great alone or paired with the dipping sauces.

Prawns Bordelaise: A pleasant surprise! Prawns were large and the sauce was DELICIOUS. We all agreed that we could have drenched the rest of our complimentary bread in that sauce.

MAINS -----
- Farfalle Gratinate - My friend and I ordered this past and LOVED it! The crispness from the bread/cheese crust, the creaminess of the sauce.. CHEF'S KISS!

- Tortellini Alla Casalinga - My husband ordered this one and really enjoyed it.

I cannot stress this enough that the portion sizes were SO good. I've been to Italian restaurants where we would order tortellini and only get a few pieces. But we all asked for to-go boxes because we were stuffed! (And also wanted to keep room for dessert).

DESSERT -----
Mocha Crunch Cake - Delicious flavor and a lot of great textures.

Chocolate Souffle & Vanilla Gelato - This is my go-to dessert so I was super excited when our server said it was one of their dessert specials for the night. Such a great end to an already fantastic meal!

I would definitely come back, suggest this restaurants to others, and even bring any visitors here. :) Thank you Rocca Ristorante for an amazing experience!
