      A:

We had a party of 2 on the saturday right after valentine's day. We put our name on the yelp waitlist online around 6:30 pm. Got to the top of the list around 6:50, checked in with the host, and got officially seated around 7

Very delicious and super nice staff. We had a large group and they were very accommodating. We tried about half the menu and shared everything, it was all so good.

Love love love Roma Antica. I think they have a great wine selection and their cocktails have never disappointed me. While not pictured, their beet salad is a must appetizer for me everything I go. However, their focaccia is a hit or miss at times. Their Cacio e Pepe is fabulous - I requested it to be extra hot and it came out at the perfect temperature.

The staff is always friendly and makes it a pleasant experience. Great place to try! If the weather is nice, I highly recommend sitting outside on their patio.

Pretty standard Italian restaurant, I would say. The free focaccia was quite amazing. Warm and perfectly toasted. I was having a great time already, especially with it dipped in olive oil. We ordered the gnocchi and margherita pizza to share. They were very kind to bring the pasta in separate bowls, even without asking for it. You could pick what sauce to pair the gnocchi with and we choice classic tomato sauce. It was very good, can't go wrong. Same with the pizza, very delicious. The bread to cheese to sauce ratio worked very well and I always enjoy a nice basil leaf hahah.

The decor was lovely and I love that they played some scenes from random Italian films on the screen. The room was dimly lit and had an intimate feel but music was a bit loud, giving slight club vibes lol. Quite a few servers were also speaking Italian, which I guess added to the vibe.

Man, I really wanted to enjoy Roma Antica, but the food was just not for me.

The bread was the best part of the meal. But the entrees were lackluster, and the al dente pasta was simply not it. The pasta was way too chewy and paired with sitting outside in the wind, it got cold quickly.

The tiramisu, although a free yelp check-in offer, was not great either.

However, the service was great. We felt very well taken care of!

My good friend got back from Asia and was craving Italian food. Being a cuisine I don't have often, I asked my friends for recommendations. They pointed me in the direction of Roma Antica which satisfied my friend's cravings!

The restaurant is quaint, inviting, and semi-intimate. There is seating inside and outside on their dog-friendly patio. We sat inside and the service was warm and friendly. Coming in the late afternoon, there weren't many people. Our food came out quickly and we were checked on occasionally.

We both love pasta and were looking forward to their homemade dishes. I ordered the Amatriciana which had a well sized portion of al dente pasta, a spicy tomato sauce, and guanciale. Being that I rarely have guanciale, I found it quite salty for my liking. However, I felt like the ratio for everything was comparable to the price. My friend enjoyed her Coda Alla Vaccinara and after having a bite I too liked it! I'd come back to try their other pasta dishes.

There are plenty of Italian restaurants spread throughout the city. Roma Antica is a popular destination for residents and visitors. Located off of Scott Street in the Marina, there's metered and street parking around. For the food quality and service I thought it was good but not mindblowing, though if someone asked to go I wouldn't hesitate to say no!

I am normally not someone who is blown away by pasta, but Roma Antica really surpassed my expectations!

The place was absolutely packed on a Friday night, even at 9pm. They have outdoor seating as well as 2 sections of indoor seating. We thankfully didn't have to wait long for a party of 2, and was immediately served complimentary focaccia.

We ordered the Calamari and 2 pastas to share, and literally everything was so delicious. The pastas were extremely flavorful while not being overly salty, and the pasta texture was chewy. It was really filling and service was great too!

Walked in on a Tuesday evening for a party of 3, lots of space and was seated immediately. The service was amazing, smiles all around and checked on us many times, refilled waters without asking.

The pasta, pizza, and appetizers were all honestly so flavorful and well balanced. Even their desserts were delicious, rich cheesecake and tiramisu. I have no complaints and would love to come back!

Roma Antica is my all time favorite pasta place in the Bay Area. I'm someone who loves trying new foods at restaurants, however the few times I've been here, I've always gotten the Amatriciana and Cacio e Pepe because they're that good. The pasta noodles are super chewy and bouncy (in the best way possible!). The cacio e pepe seems basic and simple (nothing wrong with simple, simple is great), but it is so delicious. My family loves spicy so we asked for the Amatriciana extra spicy and they delivered. I don't know what they put in the pasta, but it was packing serious heat.

I've always walked in without a reservation and they normally have a table available. The restaurant is on the smaller size, but they offer outdoor seating. They offer blankets for outdoor dining in case it gets chilly, which is so thoughtful and cute. The servers are friendly and funny and will help answer any questions you may have. Overall, I would recommend Roma Antica 100% because the pasta, service, and atmosphere are all extraordinary. Perfect for a cute date night or if you're looking to satisfy a pasta craving.
