Royal Ambulance

Horrible driver. I kept looking in my rear view mirror and there was no siren or lights on, the driver tailgated me then after a while he switched lanes then sped past me and cut me off. Why? So he could get in front just to wait at a red light. Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

The first time I had ridden Royal Ambulance was over nine years ago when they transported my mom home from Alta Bates Summit, Oakland.

This time my husband was transported from a skilled nursing facility in Alameda to Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco for a medical appointment at 11:45 A.M. The two gentlemen who tended to my husband were not only professional but also very helpful and attentive to his needs. They made sure he was comfortable for a long ride to the destination. It seemed like it took forever to get to South San Francisco, but we arrived safely.

Thanks to Elias Martinez and Daniel Rodriguez for their assistance. They were wonderful. The rating is still a five star. I even received a complimentary purple barrel pen from Elias.

My husband injured his back and the hospital arranged transportation through Royal Ambulance on 3/22. Victor V. and Casey C. helped transport him. Victor drove as gentle as possible as my husband was in excruciating back pain. Casey was with him in the back. I commend Casey as he is very compassionate and treated my husband with dignity and respect. Victor lead the transfer process and lift team with great success.

Thank you Victor V. and Casey C. for your great help and support. We were lucky to have you both helping my husband. Thank you for listening to our needs.

Affecting ither facilities staffing

Royal Ambulance transported our father from a rehab center to his apartment. Our father's was actually going into hospice and in considerable pain. The process took a couple of hours because of paperwork and communication challenges between all the parties involved. I'm sure on some level this was frustrating for EMTs. I would've been! But they're clearly better people that me. :-) All three of them were so patient, kind and relaxed.

They made it clear we shouldn't feel stressed that things were taking longer than expected. We were very stressed because of our dad's declining health. They clearly saw that and wanted to reassure us that it'd be OK and to not worry about the move. One of them (wish I remembered her name) pulled my wife aside to ask her how she was holding up. It was just such a human, sincere and thoughtful gesture.

The three of them did everything they could to minimize pain from being moved onto the gurney, into and out of the ambulance, and into our dad's bed. They stayed in the apartment for an hour after the move to help the hospice nurse treat severe bedsores and help clean him up. They were all curious to learn from and support the nurse.

In a period of tremendous grief and sadness, this experience was a moment of grace that helped lift our spirits high. It sounds cliche, I know, but in moments like this you see the best of humanity - true acts of generosity and kindness - and feel a profound sense of hope.

Royal Ambulance has a great team. They provided very friendly service, and did what they could to make our family member comfortable and get them situated in their home. They also took care in having a back up team available, but they ended up not needing the extra help. Thank you!

A big thank you to Josh C. Patrick D. and Dylan A. who drove to Kaiser San Leandro and back to my residence. They were professional in every way possible. Thank you again guys.

In 2017 and again recently, I had the good fortune to use Royal Ambulance. This time, their strong and mighty team provided stellar service to me when I really needed it.

This company provided me with excellent service. My insurance company only paid them the contracted Blue Cross Anthem rate for a BLS transport out of the "in Network Facility " that chose them. I received a 2500 bill from Royal for the excess. After a few appeals to my insurance company who I believe was totally responsible, Royal understood the circumstances and wiped it clear This a company that advocates for patients, Thank you Royal!

On behalf of our family, we would like to thank Royal Ambulance for their excellent services. They took really care of our 83 year old mother transporting to and from her dialysis sessions.
