Updated one week following the move:

Nick from management contacted me as soon as they found out that I was not completely happy with the experience. In the end, they refunded an hour and a half's worth of the charges that I originally paid for. I thought this was fair and given that they contacted me almost everyday to understand how they can make up for it.

I felt that the perseverance they devoted to learning about and rectifying their mistakes were impressive. This is why I'm giving them a solid 5 stars, up from the 3-4 stars I originally gave them. See my original review below:

(This review would have been 3 stars if not for the actual three guys who did the move: Ali, Vlad and Iliya. This team was swift and did a great job despite the obstacles we had to overcome from picking up from the storage unit to delivering to the one-bedroom condo. No furniture casualties!

I move frequently and have lots of experience using professional movers for big and small moves, short and interstate, and overseas. I chose this company because they were listed as experienced movers in the actual condo building where things were going to get moved. This is a less than 2-mile move.

So, when I placed the order online, I also spoke with the dispatcher/salesperson. I confirmed/asked if they were experienced moving to this certain high-rise. She responded with confidence that this is no problem, been there done that.

This is where the issues started:

They brought a truck that was huge enough (12 ft high and 26 ft long?) to accommodate at least a 5-bedroom house plus maybe a car, despite my ask that furniture will be coming from a storage unit of a certain small size and going into a one-bedroom. The contents consisted of a few boxes, dresser, some wardrobe (all already packed), dining set, mattress and couch. Seems easy right?

It turns out that the oversized truck was too big to enter the storage facility, so movers had no choice but to park on a busy street outside of the facility. The walk from and to was almost endless. One hour wasted.

When all was loaded, the truck arrived at the condo premises, only to find out that the truck could not fit through the breezeway where movers can unload. So the movers AGAIN had to haul furniture from an unnecessary distance. More time wasted.

Later on, I find out that the moving company should have known there there's a better access to accommodate this truck size. I had assumed from the dispatcher conversation that the movers would be able to navigate efficiently but I was wrong.

In the end, what should have been a quick one-bedroom move didn't turn out to be.... I also spent more that I should have.

I have other things I can mention that the company can work on but I just don't have time to write about my anguish at this point.

Vlad's team was fabulous! They are hard working, polite & thoughtful. Got the job done efficiently.

These guys get a 5-star review for the following reasons:

* They communicated very well.
* They were very reasonably priced.
* They were punctual.
* They were always asking if there was anything they could do to make their service better.
* They were extremely friendly.

I have zero complaints about their service. You cannot go wrong by using these folks.

PLEASE READ - Terrible Experience - Missing/Stolen Diamond Rings and Many Other Designer Products.

I had an extremely horrible experience with Royal Moving. During our simple local move, which took much longer than it should have (paid by the hour), one of the movers had admitted that he'd gone through my backpack and used my phone charger - major red flag. After they left, we discovered that around $55k worth of our stuff went missing - engagement ring, all of my wife's wedding jewelry, designer bags and sunglasses. These items were already in the new apartment, then were stolen moments later...so it's quite obvious and they were also small items making it less noticeable and even more obvious why they were stolen. We've filed a police report and hired a detective - we are compiling all the evidence to pursue a lawsuit, but the worst part is how this moving company handled the entire situation. They showed little concern or accountability, wouldn't provide information to us directly, only offered a small amount over the moving cost to make us go away, etc.

The owner Vlad wouldn't even communicate with us or return our calls. Someone from their company just said they asked their employees if they took anything and they said no...end of their internal investigation. We haven't heard of any further recourse for those individuals because the company is looking out for their own. Just denied everything. Haven't offered to go through their own insurance to help us either. We will update the review once we get more information on how things progress.

It's clear that they don't have a proper hiring process or background checks in place - and we are investigating this. I wouldn't trust their company with anything valuable or irreplaceable. Please use a more viable and reputable company. I would never want anyone else to go through the emotional or financial mess that we are dealing with.

Outstanding movers!! I moved six months ago. The team showed up on time, had me packed and out of my apartment within an hour, and safely held my stuff until last month. The were kind, professional, and highly efficient.
I recently called with a question, spoke with Nick, and being that I'm not even a customer any longer, didn't expect much, but was treated with the highest professionalism. This shows the integrity of the company.
This company is amazing at what they do; don't even bother shopping around, Royal is the best!

Dimitri and his guys were very professional and moved everything quickly. Great moving experience!! I would highly recommend these guys.

Moved the heaviest most precious furniture I own and picked up from 3 different locations with efficiency and care for everything. They weren't the cheapest in the end but I still considered them a great value and worth it. They were so so detailed and saved me from almost leaving behind a vital but smaller piece of furniture that would have been absolutely necessary for a bed wall unit.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR VALUABLES STOLEN!! LET MY REVIEW BE YOUR WARNING.
 
Not sure how this company has a 4.9 with over 100 reviews, but these are scammers and thieves that do a half-ass moving job. Yaroslv Korotenkov, Dmitriy Chubrykov and Anton Irzhin were assigned to move our belongings from a local storage center to our new apt and were hired on an hourly basis. These were not your typical professional movers; their process was inefficient and purposefully slow to rack up the charges.  Not only did they charge us for an extra 25 min before the move actually started, they took an additional 25 min, after we had arrived to our apt, in transit. They did not unwrap/set up any of the big furniture aside from the rug and couch due to the amount of time it was taking. Anton, the long haired blonde man, also took my husband's charger and used it without asking first - very unprofessional and shady.
 
It wasn't until after the move was completed that we realized they went through my duffle bag (which was not apart of what they were moving) and stole over $55k worth of valuables: my entire travel jewelry case that had my engagement ring, wedding ring, all of my jewelry, as well designer items like purses and sunglasses. I've never felt so violated, disgusted, angry and upset - the jewelry had so much sentimental value to me that's irreplaceable.
 
When we notified the moving company, they said they would do an "internal investigation" which was basically a dispatcher asking the movers if they were involved and that's it. We requested to speak with the owner, Vlad Iglin, several times, and he didn't even have the decency to give us a phone call or even an email in regards to the burglary - clearly he doesn't give a shit on who he hires, the integrity of this company and most certainly not his customers.
 
The lack of professionalism, efficiency and human decency is alarming, especially for a company that appears to look reputable online. Please DO NOT use this company - I would never want anyone to experience a fraction of what we did dealing with them and the aftermath of this nightmare.

Had to move my father, so I called Royal Moving who I found on yelp for a job last month and worked out great.
Daniel and Scott showed up and were super friendly, thoughtful and careful. They did a perfect job of moving everything. Couldn't have asked for more. I am very happy once again with Royal.

I had a 2bd 1ba 1,300sf apartment to move.. Lots of big furniture and miscellaneous items. I messaged these guys a few days before my move and they were able to squeeze me in on a Sunday at 8AM.

I did a little shopping through Yelp and all were roughly around the same price although Royal was the only one that offered as many perks as they did... Such as wardrobe boxes, blankets, plastic wrap, bubble wrap, and all the things you need to move.

They sent 2 guys who both arrived on time and got straight to work. I already had everything packed up and simply needed my own truck loaded.

They said my truck was a little small but they would do their best... and omg.. they did their best! The truck was packed nicely! It was like playing tetris!

I moved out of town and the drive was about two hours north.. When we arrived, I opened the truck expecting there to possibly be a broken glass, a bent lamp shade, or a scratch somewhere but everything was literally perfect! They wrapped everything SOOO nicely and made sure everything was safe!

I am so grateful for their attention to detail. Truly. My last experience with a moving company left me with a broken bed frame, scratched table, and a broken lamp... which I guess should maybe be expected sometimes? Idk.. but they were total jerks about it and blamed it on me... lol. I would say who they are but I am afraid they will get upset.. just go look at my other reviews.

Anyway, Royal Moving and Storage is a great company and should be used by all!

Awesome moving company. They come in prepared and ready to go for your needs. Had a quick call about my moving situation and they were able to send over movers in a couple of days. A great deal where others were priced higher.
I had Justin and Stefan move my items and they were a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately I had quite a load of stairs to travel to get to the house as well as some parking difficulties but Justin said "we will find a way" and it made the move that much easier.
They did the job with ease and efficiency. Can't recommend them enough!!
