Salon 1322

My hair stylist Milena did a FANTASTIC job on my haircut. She gave me exactly what I wanted. She made great conversation and was so funny. I 100% recommend her for anything. The salon is also super nice and has a great ambiance.

Has it really been 3 years?? James is the only stylist in my 14 years of living here that I have returned to over and over again. He is THE BEST! James is a fabulous stylist who always revives my hair (because I'm terrible at coming in on a regular schedule), giving me cuts that are suitable for my age but not out of fashion (important), encourages self care and is SUPER professional about his recommendations for hair care. He's a great listener and often can sense what I'm trying to express about my hair before I even say it. At the same time, he is FUN and a major delight to spend time with and absolutely feel like catching up with a friend every time. James is a master at reading your vibe and adjusting as needed so if you need a more mellow vibe, he will easily adapt to that as well.

As you all know, it takes time to build trust with your stylist and I'm beyond happy to include James in my self care routine. And of course, I have to mention the vibes are immaculate at the salon; everyone is friendly, welcoming and warm!

Back in 2018, I found my hair hero, Katie, and I haven't looked back since! She's the wizard behind my ever-changing hair adventures--from blues and purples to my latest situation: a pink and purple split dye that turns heads wherever I go. I'm a bit camera-shy, otherwise, I'd post photos to show off her work. Total strangers compliment my hair almost every time I go out in public. That's the Katie effect for you.

Now, let's talk money, because I see a few reviews mentioning the high prices. Yes, it's a pretty penny at this salon, but it's worth every cent. My hair is super thick and hard to lighten, but Katie works her magic, lifting it several times a year without fail. And despite my near-daily heat styling, my hair is still relatively healthy and thick, all thanks to the Salon's top-notch products and Katie's skills. I've had pieces of hair literally break off after a lightening session at cheaper salons. So I'm willing to pay premium prices for a premium experience.

Also, the whole team at the salon is just as lovely as the atmosphere at this salon. I've never had a negative experience with ANYONE. And someone always offer me snacks, drinks, reading material, etc.

So there you have it! I'll probably end up posting another update in another 6 years, and it'll be the same story, just with different colors. I'm not going anywhere else anytime soon.

I started my hair healing journey with James last year - 2023. I been consistently seeing James to maintain my hair health! I started with a lot of damage in my hair and always struggled to find a good hair stylist. Nobody can seem to get the style that I want until I found James!! He is a gem and I absolutely value his workpiece! He is so knowledgable and educates me on how to take care of my hair at home. He 100% listens to what I need and want for my hair. Kate gave me a beautiful haircut!! She was super sweet & made sure she fixed all of my layers to make my haircut perfect. 100% recommend. Business is very clean & professional :)

I called Salon 1322 after reading the reviews and chose Deb as my stylist because of her ideals on going back to ones natural root color for low maintenance style. By sheer luck she had a cancellation for the next day and I was able to be seen. I hadn't gotten my hair done in quite some time due to my fears of some past bas bleaching, but deb re assured me with time and processing we could get back to my root color.

Her keen attention to detail and genuine passion for her craft was very evident. She took the time to listen attentively to my preferences and concerns, ensuring that she understood exactly what I wanted and she also taught me how to properly use my curling iron and didn't pressure me to get any products! I went back the next week to grab some when I tested them out again and I'm really grateful I did! I have gotten so many compliments on my hair, I have one more appointment to go and my hair will be back to it's natural state! Thank you x a million deb!!! see you soon!

Deb is simply just amazing & wonderful person. She is super knowledgeable & a very fun hair stylist. I had a wonderful experience & will go back to her again & again!!!

Overall a pleasant first experience at Salon 1322. Really easy to book an appointment online. Parking is on the street or nearby parking lots. Nice ambiance and classy decor though the background music was a bit louder than I prefer. You complete a welcome card to indicate your appointment service and also complimentary drink. Yeah, whoever is a answering the phone hates their life. Could not be more useless. Completely disregarded what I was looking for and instead told me to do it myself. God almighty.

I was so overjoyed with the color, cut, kindness and total professionalism of Gen. (By the way, my photo attached is old so not the new color/cut.) From booking to consulting, everything was clearly laid out which is important. My goal was to not have to color my hair as often as I have brown hair with grey and I don't like the grey. The highlighting job Gen did was perfect and will allow for my grey to come in and mix with all the other wonderful colors so it will all blend better. That way I don't have to go as often and my hair will still look great. It is on the thinner side and we all know you don't want to color too often if that is the case. Goal accomplished in a beautiful, peaceful and fun Salon. Thank you Gen.
