This place is a gem! The drinks and foods are both very affordable and tasty/refreshing (respectively). The staff is super kind and friendly. The ambiance is so chill and cool too.

I have been here twice to get some drinks and appetizers and I absolutely loved the drinks, food and service! The bartenders are really friendly and take care of you. Bartender even posed for me when I was taking a picture of my wine flight.

Saltyard is a beautiful restaurant in downtown Burlingame with some patio seating and a large, high ceiling dining room. There is a full bar with modestly priced wine selections. The service is friendly and attentive.

Having had a meal before, I only ordered the Brussels sprouts. WOW! So delicious! Yummy and crispy. The serving was so generous.

DB ordered the risotto which was INSANELY DELICIOUS. It was rich and creamy and loaded with seafood, spinach and sundried tomatoes. I would definitely order it before. SIL ordered the crabcakes which were disappointingly fishy, so I would avoid those.

It was an enjoyable meal with good service in a dark bistro. I would come again.

Pasta Shell- pasta old and chicken was dry/tough
Short ribs- Way more fat than meat and the mashed potatoes were soup pretty much

My mother felt like she was getting attitude from the waitress but everyone seemed like they're in a bad mood or stuck up

The place looks great though lol

My wife and I dined at Saltyard in Burlingame for lunch on Saturday, and we were pleasantly surprised. This place was recommended to us by a friend, and we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, it wasn't busy, so the service was on point, and we were seated right away. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy, modern decor that made for a pleasant dining experience.

We decided to sample a few dishes, starting with the calamari, which was delicious and included battered onion strings--a nice touch. Next, we had the Caesar salad with salmon, which was another flavorful dish we both enjoyed. Then, we ordered the truffle ravioli, which had a great texture, and the sauce was very good. We finished with the butterscotch bread pudding with vanilla ice cream, which was amazing.

Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back to try other dishes. The pictures I took might look different from the main dishes they serve because we split the dishes.

Excellent excellent dining experience at Saltyard!

We had a celebration and a large party for lunch today and everything went perfectly! Excellent, beautiful, roomy and clean venue + excellent food where everyone enjoyed their dishes + excellent service where everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt.

An all around perfect experience! We would highly recommend Saltyard for your party hosting or regular dining.

Went to Saltyard a little after 6 PM on a Friday evening. It wasn't too, too busy which was great because I had an out of town guest and we needed to catch up. The service was great! Our server was attentive but not overly so. There was a champagne on the menu that they actually didn't have, so he came back with a suitable suggestion.

We had the calamari to start with and it was a good way to start. Nice and crunchy with tartar and cocktail sauce. Then the entrees came. I will say that the portions were very good sized so you get good value for your money. This may be a problem for some, but the truffle mushroom ravioli didn't have a lot of truffle aroma to it. Oh it was there, but it was slight but I actually like it that way because it can be overpowering. I ordered the salmon, which normally comes with mashed potatoes and spinach. I asked if I could get a double order of spinach instead of the potatoes and that wasn't a problem. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned well.

This is definitely a place I would visit again if I'm near SFO.

Not a great place for large groups, average food, decent prices

I came here on Christmas with a group of 23 people. The reservation specifically said 23, but when arrived there were only 18 seat and they claimed they "Didn't know how many people were coming". Since the restaurant is small we had one long row of tables with only one way in and out. It took a good 10 minutes to figure out the seating and they ended up giving us a separate table for the kids.

The service was pretty good overall and the servers were nice. My water glass was never empty.

For appetizers, we had the fried calamari. It came with peppers and artichoke hearts. the dip was good and was a good starter

I shared the lamb and sea bass entree with my mom. The lamb was not very well seasoned and tasted bland, but it was nice and tender. The brussel sprouts that came with the dish were tasty. The sea bass is a branzino and was also under-flavored but juicy. The sauce that came with it was a tiny scoop on the side, so you couldn't get it with all of the fish. This would be the dish to get if you were trying to eat a light dish.

For some reason, they did not ask us if we wanted any dessert. Some of the people in the group were interested, but the bill already got distributed and paid before we could even see the menu. Some of the group ended up going down the block to a gelato restaurant.

The prices are pretty decent. With drinks and appetizers, you'll probably end up paying about $50-60 per person.

I will likely not make this a place that I frequent.

Easy to make reservations via open table. We tried the meatball appetizer, lentil soup, and the burger. I loved the lentil soup. Balanced and flavorful. Great burger and the fries were crispy.

      Seated via Yelp Reservations

Came here for my dad's birthday and it was a hit! They were very accommodating when we actually had less people than our reservation stated. The holiday decor was so cozy and service was pretty fast.

      Food
      - complimentary bread was fresh out of the oven and so warm and soft, had yummy sesame seeds on top
      -all entrees were good
-really liked the skirt stake, cioppino, and gnocchi
-calamari came with artichokes which were really good, but kind of a small portion
