These are smart, experienced people who go the extra mile and want to help. Technical advice over the phone, which they answer btw. Iain couldn't help but laugh at my marine situation and I had to laugh too, but he immediately understood the predicament and got me scheduled first thing next day. Sam Himself answered after i'd given up for the indefinite and briefed Oscar on the problem. Oscar came out to Pillar Point with the right tools and got us cast off in 20 minutes. Don't bother calling anyone else. These guys rock.

I'm new to boating and needed a repair to the platform of our boat. I found Sam on yelp and he came to the house for the estimate.
He is as others have Reviewed a friendly, kind, honest top notch boat engineer/mechanic. Sam was able to get our boat repaired and back on the water in no time. Sam took the time to explain the process, offer options and share his opinion on best choice for repairs. Prices are more than fair and he is completely transparent returning used /broken parts.

Sam is a life saver! I had an engine that wouldn't shift into gear on a 1997 regal. I had another company come out and look at it. Turned out being a transmission issue and quoted me a hefty sum. I decided to shop around and I'm so glad I did. I called Sam on a Wednesday night at 7pm and explained what the problem was. His pricing was so reasonable and he was very honest. No pushy sales gimmicks or anything that i've become accustomed to. Anyways, he arrived the next morning at 8am to get started. He was very transparent every step of the way and I am so happy I have found him. Thank you so much Sam!

I found myself in a difficult situation after a so called mechanic removed the cylinder head from my Volvo Penta 2002 sailboat engine and left the engine in pieces. It was a mess. A friend recommended I call Sam to evaluate the situation. Sam took on a tough job and put everything back together quickly. I learned a lot during the process thanks to the time Sam took to explain everything to me. The engine runs great. I am very glad I found Sam.

Thank goodness for Sam's Engineering Solutions. I needed a kicker bracket installed but because of my unique transom shape, I needed a special or custom bracket. I called and left messages at a bunch of nearby shops but no one got back to me. Finally, one shop, 300 miles away, responded but they wanted an outrageous amount and a two month wait! I contacted Sam and he got back to me within the hour. To make a long story short, Sam BUILT a custom bracket for me, installed it on the boat, installed a bow trolling motor and new fish finder. He also modified a steering linkage from kicker to main motor. He did all this for less than what the shop quoted, just to install the kicker bracket which I would have to provide and which was not custom made, like Sam's. Sam is a hard working,, honest craftsman. I say, "craftsman" because of the beautiful bracket he made. He is extremely responsive and stands behind his work. I will be calling him for all my boating needs and I won't have to haul my boat to the boat shop and leave it there for weeks! Sam came to my place, and I was able to go fishing, the very next day. I'm so glad I found Sam. Can't say enough good things about Sam and his work!
