East / west parking lot ; East lot is closest to the terminal , some has covered parking spots , No EV charge station yet .
Walking from the East parking lot is a short stroll to baggage check in station. Friendly staff throughout the airport from every one we encountered .
Available Snacks at The Tarmac Lounge , drinks , hot dogs $5.95-$14.95 , sandwiches $9.95-$10.95 , candy , chips etc.
We made into the aircraft, friendly stewards . They only offer complimentary water , can purchase snacks , drinks alcohol takes all credit cards except discovery , cashless transaction. I kept myself occupied watching a movie on Breeze free movie guide.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 9, 2022Previous reviewFormerly Norton Air Force , we came here for the opening of the new San Bernardino International Airport.
I am thrilled to have more Airports in the vicinity closer to home and at an affordable prices for now .
$5 parking can't beat that .
Definitely looking forward to trying Breeze Airlines soon . They fly from here to SFO or to Provo Utah non stop flights . Hoping to have them add more flights to other destinations in the near future.
$39-$100 depending on dates .
Gosh just for the low fares I would love to visit other destinations..
Only 4 stars , haven't rode their aircraft yet .
Will update soon once I book my flight.
( it's not in the best area , location but hey , the more business Airport receive it will help improve the esthetics of the surrounding locations. ) - Mar 29, 2023
A very nice little airport.
Clean, well maintained, easy in and out.
All the personels are friendly and much more relaxed atmosphere.
May be because there are much less flights going in and out from this San Bernardino International airport, thus less stressful for everyone.
I can't say much about the airline which is Breeze airline.
This is our first try and the flight has been delayed 4 times.
I not sure it is d/t the weather because there isn't any announcement or reasons.
Only got text messages.
Definitely not a good first impression flying with Breeze.
Hoping more airlines will make their services here to the SBD airport.
A great thing for everyone.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 7, 2022
Love this new airport. Clean and efficient. Has only 4 gates and a fraction of the cost compared to the others.
They need to get more car rental companies tho. There is only Hertz and nothing else so check in / wait time for car rental is leeeengthy
Will fly through here again!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jane M.Orange, CA303384794Jun 30, 2023
Tried out passenger flights from SBD to Las Vegas
Very smooth experience - parked in the $5 daily parking, walked across the street to the terminal - beautiful!
We took Breeze Airways. I noticed the plane continued on to Hartford, CT - could be an easy way to visit the east coast.
Gate no line, TSA no line so easy!
Service friendly - everyone happy to see us.
Plane was delayed (delayed flying in from Las Vegas) -- Travel industry insider tip: small regional airlines get the lowest priority on the runways. They have to wait for higher priority flights to take off first.
Return flight east peasy. Overall experience smooth. I felt like a celebrityHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cee A.Banning, CA95509153Jul 28, 2023
In planning an east coast trip to Hartford/Windsor CT, I was originally going to have to fly out of LAX. Now of course, LAX is often a necessary evil. Don't care to go out that way but the least expensive options often go that way. Would obviously prefer ONT or PSP, but those flights are wickedly expensive.
So up comes Breeze Airways departing out of SBD as an option. Okay, I like that the airport is a short drive away. Good. Didn't know much else about it before travel day. Get to the airport, and parked under the solar panels -- long term parking is just $5 a day -- a very short walk to the terminal. Unloaded, locked up, and headed over to the terminal. Checked the suitcases in without issue. TSA line was non-existent, but I did still have to pull electronics out of my bags. All in all, from parking lot to departure gate had to be less than 10 minutes altogether. Now that's a premium experience!
Not much going inside the terminal. Free WiFi, of course. Not much in the way of concessions or anything else. Just a small bar and store, with a handful of pre-packed and sealed options. Knowing the cross-country Breeze flight wouldn't serve food, I had already prepared with everything I would need, so the bar and store wasn't an issue.
On the return, just a single solitary baggage claim, and Breeze staff unloaded the small handful of bags quickly. Breeze flies from SBD but it looks like the main route is LAS-BDL. I departed from SBD with hardly anyone on the plane, and it filled up once in Vegas. Likewise, on the return flight -- full from BDL heading to LAS, but nearly empty once we were finishing the route out to SBD.
If you're heading to one of the handful of locations Breeze flies out of, definitely look into using SBD as your departure point.Helpful 17Thanks 3Love this 11Oh no 0 - Lynda K.Arrowhead, SAN BERNARDINO, CA9517Oct 18, 2022
San Bernardino International is the nicest airport in southern California.
The new Breeze Airways there has started offering daily, non-stop, 90-minute, and 515-m.p.h. service to and from San Francisco International for as little as $39, round-trip. The airline also makes available at San Bernardino International daily one-stop, direct flights to and from Provo, Utah.
That fare is pretty amazing, and it is only possible because the smart cost structure of both the airline and the airport is far lower than that of the competition. At that price, these 90-minute flights make the Bay Area seem as if it's right next door.
San Bernardino International, additionally, offers long-term parking that is covered, secured, and close-in for only $5 per day. Even better is the fact that the airport is located just two miles from San Bernardino's new central station where multiple lines of Metrolink meet the sbX system, which provides dedicated-guideway service to and from San Bernardino State and Loma Linda Universities, and the new Arrow light-rail line to and from the University of Redlands, so extending the Metrolink tracks could be very easy and would enable people to take one-seat train trips to and from L.A. Union Station, Oceanside, and potentially even Disneyland/Anaheim Station (ARTIC). No southern California airport is as convenient and well-connected, especially since Metrolink is reintroducing 60-minute express service between Los Angeles and San Bernardino soon.
Moreover, San Bernardino International is the only airport in southern California that doesn't impose a Passenger Facility Charge.
The experience of flying from and to San Bernardino is just so much nicer than any of the alternatives. And, one of the best aspects of the San Francisco route is that SFO offers so many connections to the rest of the U.S. and the rest of the world. A flight from San Bernardino to London, for instance, through SFO, is significantly less expensive than a similar flight from LAX, partly because San Francisco is on the way to almost all of Earth's major destinations; Europe requires flying northward towards Iceland, and Asia requires flying northward towards Alaska.
The boutique operation allows the airport to offer more personal attention and service. Wait times are pretty much non-existent. Passing through security and boarding at the jet bridges is a breeze. One need not allow hours to arrive before a plane is scheduled to depart. Traffic is light. Everything is compact and walkable. And, the overall experience is far more orderly and civilized than that of LAX and of other southern California airports.
If you do happen to arrive early, the three passenger terminals are all quite pleasant, modern, and spacious, and the domestic terminal has a landside, pre-security café and an airside, post-security restaurant that are both worth visiting. Too, San Bernardino International is very good at getting baggage removed from the planes quickly and efficiently and at allowing planes to take-off and land on time, especially when compared with LAX, which is notorious for its congestion and delays.
One of the other interesting aspects of San Bernardino International is that, even though it is the newest airport in southern California, the place also has personality and character. Several of the buildings are brand new while others are adaptive reuses. The site used to be the San Bernardino Municipal Airport, which, during World War II, was converted into the San Bernardino Air Depot, which, in turn, was later renamed "Norton Air Force Base." And, that 1940's style is evident in many of the historic hangars and Quonset huts that still exist on the property. Additionally, San Bernardino International has a staggering array of different kinds of aircraft that use the facility. The airport is one of the few that can accommodate all of the largest airplanes, including both the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 747.Helpful 3Thanks 3Love this 3Oh no 1 - Gregory J.Highland, CA2677933Aug 14, 2023
I had an excellent experience at the San Bernardino airport. The facility was impeccably clean, reflecting a commitment to maintaining a pleasant environment for travelers. The employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful, making my time there enjoyable. The only minor drawback was an incident involving an officer at the arrival pickup, who seemed overly pushy and insistent about circling the airport, on my family was clearly coming out of the exit. He threaten me with a ticket, and the airport was clearly empty of traffic. However, this isolated incident didn't overshadow the positive aspects of my visit. The overall experience was great, and I would gladly choose this airport again for my future travels. Five stars for its cleanliness, courteous staff, and convenience!

WORST experience ever. They charged me bogus fees, no one in the office knew how to help me, and the car I got smelled like cigarettes and cologne. When I returned the car I picked up another one and was charged a late return fee because the person entered my information incorrectly in the system. I can't imagine how the experience could have been worse, STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

San Bernardino International Airport located in the foothills of the San Bernardino National Forrest is a large multi service airport and FBO.
A wide variety of aircraft and aircraft services is available here for private, commercial, military and government
equipment-fixed and rotor wing included.
As the former Norton Air force base it features very long runways ( runway Foxtrot being most popular).
It's also an interesting location to see aircraft take off and land as well as vintage aircraft being restored, updated and retrofitted.
Lots of places to eat in nearby Redlands at the Mountain Grove Shopping Center just minutes away!
Enjoy your fly-in,visit and meetings at San Bernardino International Airport!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 33415469541Apr 16, 2015First to Review
This is a very sleepy airport. It's mammonth, built in the yesteryear heyday of air travel. Originally an air force base, turned over/sold to the city. Yes, there are occassional commercial flights, but mostly it's now used for private flights.
The fbo, Luxivair, where I visited and took these pictures, is a brand-new, state of the art facility. Conference rooms, flight planning, tv rooms, lounges, sleeping rooms, etc., as you'd expect in a modern fbo. These excell in this department.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
