San Francisco Excursions

This absolutely has to be one of the best tours of the city - particularly if you have only a day or two to visit. Growing up in San Francisco, our tour guide Brendan had an extensive knowledge about the city, its history, the sociology of the city as well as issues facing the city including homelessness, the gentrification of the various districts and the rent control. Brendan was a wealth of knowledge and adds humor into the mix. He was extremely friendly and was able to answer questions on the spot. He was able to tell us interesting facts about each neighborhood the tour visited. The tour used a small, comfortable, bus with large windows for viewing the sights and took us through many of the historic neighborhoods, including the Mission District, Chinatown, North Beach, Little Italy, Height- Ashbury, Pacific Heights, Presideo, then over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito for lunch and then an hour walking through the peaceful Muir Woods. There were a number of photo stops along the way, but my personal favorites were the Twin Peaks- where we got a panoramic view of the entire city and bay area and the Marin Headlands with a stunning view of the Golden Gate Bridge with San Francisco in the background.

I recommend taking this 6+ hour tour your first or second day in the city. You'll see and learn the history behind each part of the city and get an idea of where you might like to return. This was an amazing and educational tour.

Brenden was an amazing tour guide, funny, professional, knowledgeable and very caring. He shared greats stories, adventures and historical facts about the city.

My husband and I have been to SF many times, but this trip was our first time taking a tour. We had a blast! Brendan was an amazing tour guide. We enjoyed getting to see parts of the city that were new to us and learning new things about familiar locations. Muir Woods and Sausalito were our favorite parts of the tour. We would love to do this tour again on a future trip. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Brendan was phenomenal!! This tour really showed us so much of San Francisco. Be sure to do the six hour tour with Muir Woods and Sausalito. My husband and I were constantly impressed and had the very best time. Tours can be iffy - but Brendan knocked it out of the park with his witty and charismatic personality with a side of humor. He was so accommodating and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time while in SF. I especially liked how he gave plenty of recommendations on where to eat and how to experience SF for the remainder of the time we are here. This tour is a must...and would be best on your first day in town

Booked a tour for my bf's birthday and the tour guide, Brenden, who is actually from San Francisco was AWESOME! Very funny and knows a lot about the history about the city which made the tour even better. Although I'm from the Bay Area, never knew most of the things he educated us on. I would definitely recommend this tour as it included the Alcatraz Tour.

The tour guide Brendan is actually from San Francisco and has a tremendous passion for his home city, this is evident from his extensive knowledge base of events and places that your typical tour guide reading from a card would not know.
