I just sold my Challenger SXT to this dealership and Sarah treated me with grace and kindness on top of paying me a fair price. We finished the transaction at my bank this afternoon and then they drove off with the car. Their pickup service is another big reason to do business with this organization!

I will certainly contact them in the future when I am in the market for a car!

Family Member Purchased a Used Car from this location only for it to have the worst Battery Problem.

I posted a review about a week or two ago and they have been calling me and harassing me ever since. Telling me to take it down or else. Smh I'm not taking anything down. If you continue to try and bully me into taking it down I'll turn you in to the BBB.

I bought a car from these folks in August of 2022. I regret giving this dealership my business. They have YET to transfer ownership via the DMV and the temporary tags are expired. This car was for my son to drive to work, and now instead I have a $15,000 paper weight parked in front of my house while my wife drives my son to his job.

I've been lied to multiple times by this dealership and I'm now preparing to take legal action.

Do you like Shady Characters.?? Do you like Lemons ?? If so. Well come on down to SMAS. Not only will they sale you a lemon but you get to have someone nice and shady politely try to convince you to buy anything on their parking lot no matter the condition of the internal engine. What happen when they sold me a very expensive BMW I take it to get an oil change and they notice the engine didn't come w an air filter.?? I got the blame. Yes. Me the consumer. That's right..!! How come I didn't notice it didn't have one ?? Well you guessed it. I'm not a mechanic. I thought it went through an inspection like they said. Oh well just needs a new engine. Thanks for denying me a trade or return. Karma will definitely work out in your guys favor in the future. Good luck on the next person u fool. I mean help out..

This experience was worth every single star rating. Working with Tony and the Sales Team at San Mateo Auto Sales was a perfect example of how dealerships should do car deals. Easy , Transparent and of course Professional ! Although the main key for myself here is that the team took COVID 19 regulations seriously and helped make it a very safe environment especially for myself with asthma. Mask's were worn at all times, sanitation was done in every part of the building and cars and it truly spoke volume of the respect and safety they have for their customers.

All in all just like we all do at times, I checked the vehicle myself to make sure everything was true and not a thing was wrong as it is a bmw. Of course true to Tony's word not a single leak or scratch was on this car and after buying it I took this straight to Tahoe and she drove just as expected BEAUTIFULLY! Not single creak or leak coming from any part of this car !

Unprofessional af , how you gonna tell someone to meet at a certain time and not show up and not answer the phone calls after , I was interested in buying a car . Guess they don't wanna sell it . If you couldn't make it you could have said something before making me drive 45 minutes.

I thought that San Mateo Auto Sales - in particular, their lead salesman, Ranulfo Alvarez - were an excellent and professional local business and I was happy to support them. Purchased a 2011 Ford Fiesta off of them for $4500.

Just to put this in perspective for you, I am in my early 20s paying rent on my own and this was my first car purchase EVER. $4500 was ALL of my savings that I have collected painstakingly over the last 5 years. In fact I had to borrow $500 from my parents but I trusted Mr. Alvarez and San Mateo Auto Sales so much from their seemingly caring customer service that I thought it was such a good deal that it was worth it.

Well, less than a week later, the engine CATCHES FIRE on the freeway, putting me and my passengers in serious danger. I took it to the mechanic - engine was barely limping along with 0psi on all but one test. I was livid. Clearly they were aware of the problems this car had before they sold it to me. I tried to call Mr. Alvarez to give them a chance to make it right, but all I got was a game of phone tag for a month before finally cornering him on the phone for 20 minutes of awkward excuses and "Um let me call you back" s before they finally just ghosted me altogether and refuse to return my calls.

They are a SHADY DEALERSHIP and you should TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE if you care about your money at all. This has totally crippled me and I am now saddled with this lemon of a car that was TOTALED before they even sold it to me. I'm shocked it even made it off the lot. They must have sighed with relief when I managed to drive off. These people clearly do NOT care about their customers or their customers safety at ALL, and you should think twice before investing in them because they certainly screwed me over in the most unethical way they could.

Fito and his team are incompetent and a straight headache. I cannot believe the hell hole they put me through after selling my car to them. After completing all paperwork and transferring liability I had to pay for toll charges they racked up over a year and a half until they finally decided to transfer to the new owner. I battled with them for months and they were not helpful. Called and showed proof to toll that I had sold the car. They put me in a gray area that nothing could be done except by the dealer and they didn't. Fito had the audacity after the year and half passed to reassure me everything would figure itself out and I would no longer have to worry! Like c'mon now, we are passed that point and I contacted them 11 times prior to this! Super upsetting, unprofessional and just stressful. Highly recommend to stays away! They don't go by store hours and rarely answer the phone. Never again!

I bought my 2nd car from here.
In response to the lady and her car fire. They don't repair cars. They explained to me, how they send cars to repair shops. The repair shop gets the car ready for sale based on Ca guidelines. The shop backs their work.
120 point inspection. They now give all their cars a 3 month 3k warranty!!

My first car had some issues 2 months after purchase. They replaced a battery for me and did an alignment. They go above and beyond to help. Even tho my car is AS IS and the battery was fine when I bought the car.
I also purchased a extended warranty. I have used it only once on my first purchase.

I would highly recommend this Dealership and their new guy in charge Tony, has been amazing. He has helped 2 of my friends with tough credit, into a nice car.
Ask for Tony! He is the man in charge
