Sansho Sushi & Japanese Dining

Happened to be in the neighbourhood & decided to take advantage of the Entertainment coupon. So glad we did! Very friendly service, delicious, authentic Japanese food. Very busy on a Saturday night. Reservations recommended & sign up for their reward program while you're there! We'll be back!

Omg this little small place was so delicious. Fresh fresh sashimi and sushi. I loved their grilled mackerel was made perfectly boneless with grated daikon, minced green onion, and lemon slices. It was one best meals! Dinner also included miso soup and salad with homemade miso dressing. Definately will return. Service was excellent and is a hidden gem. Way to go!

I ordered sushi set for lunch (18cad) and it was delicious! Sushi rice was nice and soft, and the sashimi on top was fresh!!

The set comes with miso soup and salad which is a nice addition too.

The server is nice and friendly too so i would come back here again too!

Sansho Sushi was such an amazing place to eat sushi! My family and I were visiting Lynn Canyon and found this place on Yelp and we were blown away. This is probably some of the best sushi I've ever had!! I especially liked the Salmon Lover roll and the Aburi Salmon. They also had a vegetable roll that was included in the sushi boat that we all ended up loving and definitely did not expect it! They have a great customer service and amazing prices (compared to California haha). I would highly recommend visiting if you're in the area!!!

I ordered to go sushi on Friday evening. The VIP chirashi looked amazing and very fresh prepared sushi too.

I love to see how much the chef gave the extra ingredients or flavor between rice and sashimi. You will see thin sliced egg, shiitake, crab meat, salmon roes and others. No need mayonnaise.

The staff is very kind, and although it is a very busy restaurant, we've always been satisfied with the food! They have a great selection!
We enjoy, bringing our granddaughters there, as well as their space and the staff is welcoming.

This was a great accidental find! Thank goodness the cafe down the street had a long wait!!! Otherwise we would not have been able to experience this gem! The sushi fish was super fresh and for what you get, the prices are very reasonable! If only we lived in Canada, we would come back every so often! Highly recommend this place!!! The VIP chirashi meal was worth every penny!!!

A hidden gem tucked away in North Van, BC about a 20-ish minute walk from Lonsdale Quay.

Upon entering, you are welcomed to a pleasantly comfortable environment with good service and hospitable staff.

The menu has many different items ranging from lunch special bento boxes ranging in the high teens to the $20ish range providing a different array of choices.

We elected to have their sushi and their rolls which were priced surprisingly low compared to what I have been used to paying in other places in the past.

The fish tastes extremely fresh, has no stench to it, and is good in variety. We elected to have the toro, blue-fin tuna, BC roll, and one of their mango/avocado rolls and enjoyed each item.

I would definitely recommend visiting this place if you're in the area.

Wow. I've been to a lot of sushi places in my time, including in other coastal cities but Vancouver takes the cake for being the BEST place to grab fresh sushi.

I visited Sansho in North Vancouver as it was a street away from my Airbnb and wow was I glad I did. They allowed seating inside so I took a booth and was served a menu and some water right away. I took a few minutes to order but once I was ready the waitress was on top of it and came over right away.

I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a salmon roll. Once I ordered it was made almost immediately. As in I read one page in the book I brought and then it arrived. I was shocked, to be honest. And they continued to thank me for waiting!! There was 0 wait, it was extremely fast and nice service.

Anyway, the rolls were to die for. I've never had fresher tuna in my life. I didn't even know it was supposed to look that color, that's how fresh it was. And they didn't skimp on how much fish was in the rolls, they were packed!!

The meal was amazing. The only downside was that I had to ask for my check after waiting quite a bit of time (but that might be a Canadian thing that I'm not used to, so no docked points for it). I wish I was staying in this location so I could go back. Very very good.

Stopped in here for lunch and it was lovey! They have great lunch specials that are super yummy and a good deal. I got the sushi lunch special that came with miso, salad, 6 sushi pieces and a California roll, I upgraded the roll to Dynamite which was delicious. I really enjoyed all my meal, it was quite filling!

My boyfriend got the sansho bento box which had a ton of food and was delicious!

We really enjoyed everything here, the staff was super nice and helpful, and the menu was very well laid out and had good descriptions for everything. Definitely would come back again when in the area!

Great food with fast friendly service on a busy evening. Prices and portions very reasonable. Everything came out hot and freshly prepared. Highly recommend.
