Tasha C.Windsor, CA522Jul 3, 2016If I could give them zero stars I would they have HORRIBLE customer service! My dad took our family boat in to get serviced for the year and was completely let down by Santa Rosa Boat center. We expected the boat to be ready for the lake and it wasn't. When we called them about it they never returned our calls and we had to call them repeatedly. My dad will definitely not be taking our boat there again. They don't do what they say they are going to do.

After speaking with the lead mechanic (A pretty nice guy) I decided to drop my boat off for a service a few weeks later. The lady from the front counter was leaving 5 min. Early and popped of of with an attitude the instant she saw me. She was rude, gruff and, had a complete lack of decency for customer service. I felt like an inconvenience and unwelcome. I left with my boat still connected to my truck. I will never go back there! There are plenty of other places that value their customers. I'd rather pay more than be treated with such a lack of respect.

Hi Nathan,
I tried to contact you privately over a week ago, but haven't heard back from you. As you stated, you are a long time customer and we would like the opportunity to maintain that relationship. Seeing as how you have been here before, you are aware of how we operate. We have to schedule appointments in order to avoid the delay of another customers boat. It is currently the busiest time of year for us so keeping to a schedule is imperative and space is limited. When you arrived not only did you not have an appointment, we were closed. You may not have realized that as we were all still here working fiercely. You arrived 5 minutes to 5 and we closed at 4:30. This doesn't excuse the fact that you felt we were "gruff" but I offer this information to help you understand why we were direct with you and requested you make an appointment. It is my hopes that you understand that it's not that we didn't or don't want your business, we just have to go through the proper process. We take pride in our work and always intend to provide the best customer service. I know you didn't agree with our office manager that evening when she said the boat couldn't be left here, but we ask you to think about how you'd feel if you were one of our other customers who had waited for their appointment which got pushed back because we jumped another job in before them. These people are complete scum bags. We brought our boat to them for an annual service after purchasing the boat a year prior. The boat was in immaculate condition. They returned us the boat almost two months later which was a little annoying being that a normal service of a perfectly working boat should not take more than a week. Upon taking the boat out for the first time that spring, the boat would not start. The mechanic at the marina tried to help us get it started but was unable to. We notified Tom that the boat didn't start and he instantly began trying to blame the marina mechanic for it not working. We took it back to them and they had the boat for 6 months without repairing it. We finally decided that we would pick it up and take it someplace else. When we did they told us we owed them $8000 in repairs for a boat that did not work. The insurance company wouldn't cover it because they said the work that was done was not more than $1000. DO NOT TAKE A BOAT HERE.
