I wish this restaurant existed when I was working in the area. I ordered the mac and cheese plus butter chicken. The dish was very flavorful. The mac and cheese was very creamy. If you eat it next day or have less over, it tastes even better.
The owner there is very nice.
They offer other items such as sandwiches, tacos and etc.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 7, 2023
Big thanks to our CM Anushika for hosting and organizing Yelp elite event. I was glad to be invited to this event trying Indian fusion cuisine. How can you say no to Indian food!
Menu consists of fries, sandwich, samosas, tacos and salad in Indian spice. This place casual with cool looking decor. Owners were friendly and helpful. I purchased Mango Lassi ($6.75) after ordering Butter Chicken sandwich. I do love Mango Lassi so the drink and sandwich did not disappoint at all. Mango Lassi was fruity and refreshing. This drink is a must if anyone likes smoothie.
Sandwich was fresh and tasty. I could taste Indian spice in rich texture, chicken was nicely smothered in butter chicken sauce. Thanks for cute Yelp mint. I better come back to try more food. Good food for a reasonable price I must say!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 17, 2023
Went in on a Sunday afternoon to try a variety of Indian fusion options available on the menu.
Loaded Paneer Fries - Great flavour and the combination with the fries made it an absolute hit, would highly recommend. (No picture)
Coriander Chicken Biryani - This also was a standout, great flavour and very well spiced!
Panner Mac & Cheese - decent flavour, but would recommend the panner with the loaded fries instead of the Mac & Cheese.
Accompanied the food with a Mango Lassi which was great and finished off with a Gulab Jamun Creme Brûlée which was decent.
Service was great and plenty of space to sit down and enjoy your meal, highly recommend.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 3396191Sep 25, 2023
Got to try this cute little place as an elite event. And so glad.....it was Yummo!
Parking is a little frustrating, you can't park on Broadway but can park on the side streets like Spruce St.
It was very quiet, lots of seating. Ordered a mango lassi first, yummmmm, full of mango and they use Greek yogurt to blend, not too thick.
We ordered the biryani with cilantro cream chicken, so flavorful and delicious. What I love is that you know this is homemade, even the chicken is pieces of chicken thigh, breast and wing, but boneless. So tender and juicy. Comes with pickled onions and they are sooo good, crunchy and slightly sweet to accompany the chicken.
We also got the macaroni and butter chicken, also very delicious. The butter chicken has got great tangy tomatoe flavour and balances nicely with the perfectly cooked pasta with lots of cheese and cheese sauce. We also tried the spicy lamb flatbread. Full of spices and cheese with fresh salad on top, to break up the heavy spice and cheese bread. It is also accompanied with a 'ranch' that is super yummy, and cuts down some of the spice. There are large jalepenos on it, so if you don't want extra spice, just ask for them to be removed.
We of course had to try the creme brûlée. I love creme brulee and it was really creamy and yummy, the crunch of the burnt sugar on top was perfect. Some in our group only wanted creme brulee and others loved the little donut inside.
All in all, I will be back when I'm craving Indian with a twist, especially on comfort food days like today!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 14, 2023
A cozy restaurant on Broadway that comes with warm smiles and comfort food. It's such a little treat to visit this place. The restaurant is super clean with decent amount of seats. When I walked in, I was greeted by staff with friendly smile. They have a very simple menu. First, you choose the main carbs you like, then protein, and sauce. Everything was simple and easy. They have some nice veggie option if you are vegetarian. Once everything is picked, you can pay at the counter and they will bring your food over. It's like fast food style, but in a restaurant setting.
What I was really impressed was their tipping option. On the machine, their lowest tipping percentage was no tip, 5%, 10%, and 15%. I have never seen an honest business like this. With all the inflations going on, regardless eating at restaurant or at a good court, most of them have the tipping option stating at 15%. It makes me cringe every time when I pick up the POS machine. Don't get me wrong, I love supporting local business and restaurant, however, the increase of food cost with lack of service makes me wonder if it was necessary to tip someone who didn't provide any services. i.e. at a food court. But here, the business understand that, and they give you many options which won't break your wallet. It was a nice surprise and I actually tipped 15% to encourage that.
When the food comes, it had a very nice aroma which brought up my appetite. I ordered the hand pulled chicken with biryani and coconut sauce. The rice were nicely flavored and cooked, with a decent portion. The COVID sauce was creamy, light. And nicely incorporated with pulled chicken. They also give me some some pickled option on the side, which was a nice palate cleanser. The plate is made out of a nice sturdy recycle box, which means if you can't finish the food, they will give you a cover to take home.
My overall experience were over the top, I wish they have something like this closer to my home, so I can visit more often.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 26, 2023
Got the mac and cheese with butter chicken and it was sooo good! Such an interesting combo that worked really well together and left me wanting more. The flavour was balanced and portion was reasonable. Super friendly staff as well.
Thank you Saucin Staples and Yelp for letting us try this dish.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 25, 2023
(Note: I had to get takeout unfortunately as I was rushed)
Fantastic place with great flavours.
- butter chicken Mac and cheese - my daughter said this was her new favorite Mac and cheese and she's like really picky.
- butter chicken fries - these are like shoestring fries. I love this dish. The sauce has a kick to it which is addicting.
- biriyani with coconut pulled pork this was another one they recommended and I love this dish. Wonderful flavour, not really spicy but really smooth.
Ok and as a dessert guy I couldn't help ordering the gulab jamun crème brûlée. Note - it's not a true brûlée as the top is not crunchy. However it is still really good and hits the spot.
Very friendly staff as well.
Overall awesome place, great concept!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 11, 2023
Amazing food and service from the staff. For the tacos and I loved how the flavours came together with the acidity of the pickles!

A very unique fast-casual spot serving up delicious Indian fusion food. The menu is highly customizable: you can choose your base dish, your protein, your sauce, and even spice level to build your meal exactly your way. They have drinks (chai and lassi) and fusion desserts too. Tons of vegetarian possibilities and some vegan and GF choices too. The first time I was here was for a Yelp event and I've been itching to go back "for real" so I could review them for real because I'm loving this place.
My first visit was the Samosa Brekkie sandwich and thought it was a great reimagining of the bun samosa as a breakfast sandwich (especially appreciated the crispy and non-greasy samosa in there). I ordered a cilantro cream vegan butter chicken biryani on my next visit and loved it even more! The vegan chicken strips they're using has a nice tender texture (you're unlikely to mistake it for actual chicken, but I'd personally prefer it that way). The sauce was amazing. The cilantro cream sauce is different from anything I've tried before but sort of reminded me of a midpoint between korma and saag gravy - it was rich and creamy, but the cilantro gives it that herby green flavour. The owner was really nice and gave me a sample of butter sauce to try, which was also delicious, I'll have to try that next!
For dessert, they have a saffron baked yogurt and a gulab jamun creme brulee. I've now tried both. My preference is the baked yogurt because the creme brulee is quite sweet for me while the baked yogurt is more balanced between sweet and tang. I also just really like baked yogurt and it's a very rare dessert to find in Vancouver so I'm extra happy they offer it. I did also really like the creme brulee though. I don't much care for regular gulab jamun but putting the donut in the creme brulee is really interesting and works well. They torch it fresh when you order. Both of these desserts are perfectly portioned for one.
Their iced chai latte (only drink I've tried so far), is, I think, closer to Westernized chai latte than iced Indian chai, but it's very strong.
Everything comes out fresh and hot. Even though it's fusion food, I feel that it carries the authentic spice of Indian cooking. And the prices are super reasonable - the entrees are all $10-17.
The owner here is so nice and seems like he really cares about customers and is proud of the food. Even though it had been months between my first and second visits, he remembered me! Highly recommend supporting this special business.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
