No frills cafe with simple ambiance and fantastic food with a creative twist on Arabic/Mediterranean cuisine. The chef clearly is passionate about his creations and they did not disappoint. We went there with my team and everyone was so wow'ed by the food that they all wanted to come back to try other things on the menu. We ordered the savor platter, yemeni okra stew, mujadara, mushroom patty melts, mushroom knaffe. The entrees came with either cold gazpacho or quinoa lentil soup. Everything was epic in taste, presentation and portion size.

Only additional feedback I would have is - the menu layout was a little confusing and could be made easier to read and order.

Will definitely bring everyone I know here!

I'm not vegan or vegetarian but I'd convert if I ate food from here everyday. On a whim my friend and I decided to catch-up and try something healthy, we found savor and it looked amazing. Parking in the area can be a bit difficult but it wasn't too bad.

We got seated right away and the guy helping us gave us great recs we had 3 things that we shared and it was enough for us. We had the hot and cold asparagus which was amazing! I love asparagus and it wasn't overcooked , it was still crisp and it had a great sauce that went with it. We also had this dish with tofu and caramleized onions and some greens on the bottom. It was super flavorful and tasty, we devoured this so fast. The mushroom knaffe was so crispy with a bunch of savory mushrooms inside. We loved this as well. We ended dinner with their bread pudding and it was also super soft and not too sweet. Could taste some jam on top and cinnamon, was the perfect way to end the meal.

Will definitely be coming back when i stop by in the area. Love this place and can't get enough of it!

      Total for 2 w/ tax & tip: $70

Lovely little cafe with some amazing homemade vegan dishes. I came here to order takeout and it was great.

All the entrees include a side salad or soup of the day. I tried their Portobello Shawarma and the Pulled king Trumpet Burger, which came in two making it easy to share or save one half for later.

The shawarma wrap was loaded with veggies and a tasty tahini dressing. Although it ended up falling apart due to how wet the ingredients were, so I'd probably skip on this in the future. The vegan trumpet burger though was fantastic. I loved the house bbq sauce and the use of mushrooms was perfect.

The two soups we had included were delicious as well. Their vegan cauliflower curry soup was the standout for sure.

Definitely a great lunch and a spot I'd return again in the future.

The food here was surprisingly good! To be honest, I didn't know this place was vegetarian until I sat down and looked more carefully at the menu. At first, I thought to myself: oh crap, why did I pick this place? But then I took the first bite of the portobello sandwich and it was sooo good! The crust is almost like a croissant, super crunchy and layered. The wrap was equally as tasty. The Yemeni stew was an interesting. I'm glad we ordered it to try, but I probably would not order that again. The Savir Platter came with 4 sauces and some pitas, I really liked the olive one and the garlicky one. Since each order comes with a soup, we tried both the cauliflower soup and the chilled stew (I forget what it was but taste a bit sour and full of herbs).
The owner/chef is from Yemen and he is super nice. I like the food here: healthy and flavorful. Restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. I am not a huge fan of the desserts we had, but there's so many choices I want to try next time.

When I am a fan of a chef's creations, I would follow him anywhere.

After semi-annual visits at Chef Mohammed's Saha at SF's Hotel Carlton, over to Berkeley where I was happy not to have to cross a bridge for it, I followed him back to the Hotel Carlton, and now to his 1 year old vegetarian/vegan Savor Cafe at Sunset.

If I could whip up vegetarian and vegan dishes like the artichoke schwarma, wild mushroom knaffe, falafel croquettes, and mashi that was so good, we ordered 2, I would become vegetarian or vegan. So incredibly tasty, we didn't even miss the meat, well maybe just my "must have" salmon baklava from Saha that I still think and talk about.

Had another delicious meal at Savor. This time, we enjoyed lunch specials and regular items as recommended by owner and chef Mohamed, including the shakshuka, mujadara, mushroom pate, and soup of the day. All were delicious, healthy, and incredibly flavorful.

Incredible vegan/vegetarian spot for middle eastern tapas, a much needed niche in the sunset. I had heard amazing things about it and was blown away by the dishes we tried. All of the dishes were unique, inventive, and a bold mix of flavors unlike anything I've had. I'm honestly shocked by the quality and uniqueness of the dishes, and that we have somewhere this special in the sunset. There's a reason for the rare 4.9 stars on yelp. Getting to the food:

      1. Lentil soup- 5/5, was the soup of the day, very hearty and hit the spot on a cold rainy day. Nothing crazy unusual about this, but delicious.
      2. The potato and sage torte- 5/5 this dish was incredibly flavorful and unlike anything I've had. Not even sure how to describe it. Delicious.
      3. Mushroom knaffe- 5/5 a delicious savory spin on a common dessert, this was SO good. My only complaint is I wish it were bigger!!
      4. Hodo Tofu Sougar- 5/5 again super interesting mix of flavors, and probably the best baba ganoush I have ever had. If it weren't for the baba ganoush I could probably skip this in the future but it was incredible.

Can't wait to come back and try some of their day time dishes. Service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is cute and very unassuming given the shockingly high quality of food. This place is on the pricier end (16-19 dollars for relatively smalls tapas dishes) but to be honest with the quality and inventiveness of the dishes I would expect this to be in some 3 dollar sign restaurant downtown. Very grateful that it is not.

Mushroom shawarma is fantastic. All meals come with soup. The owner is friendly; he helped us choose suitable options for taking out for a road trip and dining in and suggested parking. Highly reccomend. Food is healthy, all vegan, and tasty!

This restaurant serves vegetarian and some vegan options. Had an amazing lunch here with my husband and our pup recently.

We had the House Falafel Wrap with (their famous) cauliflower tomato soup and the Portobello Mushroom Shawarma with cauliflower tomato soup. For dessert, we tried their Blueberry Torte. All delicious and satisfying.

Service was friendly and helpful. We sat outside on this recent visit.

I went to this place with a dear friend on a whim from a quick Google/Yelp search and the food was absolutely AMAZING! The portions are small but DELICIOUS and worth EVERY PENNY! I thought I would still be hungry when we left but I honestly wasn't! The flavors were so decedent but not overstated at all. It truly is 5 star fare! I would take a date here!
