Would I be able to bring in a nice bottle of wine to the restaurant from home? Is there a corkage fee and if so how much?

      A:

Yes. I had this same question. We were able to bring our own bottles from our wine tour for a $20 per bottle corkage fee.

The food was fabulous, the Wagyu beef the finest. We were there during the recent heat wave and the cucumber martina was so refreshing. Want to return to the area just to return to Seared.

While visiting Sonoma, we found this restaurant on yelp and decided to give it a try.

Firstly, parking on a Friday evening was difficult, we had to circle around the block three times before finding a spot. Once we found parking, we walked over to Seared. The ambiance inside was loud (but not overbearing). We didn't have reservations so we sat on tall chairs by the bar. Service was good.

Let's talk about the food. Everything we ordered was amazing. I loved their oysters. The sauces provided for them were delicious. My 6 year old was able to enjoy the bacon Mac and cheese. I ordered the surf and turf because I was craving steak AND when I saw they had scallops as the surf, it was an immediate decision. The scallops were so good and the steak was tender. I finished everything on the plate. My husband got the wagyu ribeye and he liked it as well.

Highly recommend for a nice dinner

It was totally awesome. We were there for a birthday party. As you walk in the staff and ambience were warm and inviting.
My hamburger was amazing. The short ribs were also a hit at the table.
The chicken and the halibut were just Soso . They were both overcooked a little.
The service was great. Our every want was satisfied without asking.
It was kind of odd they charged a cake fee but they brought the knife and we had to cut our own cake.

      Honest review.

I've been to multiple steakhouses over the years, never to one in Petaluma. The menu was small, we went here for dinner and there was little variety to choose from.

The rib plate was the one I personally got and it was good, but I don't think $38 worth. A bit small, at Stark's in Santa Rosa you can get more meat for around a similar price. The macaroni and cheese was supposedly with lobster, but had minimal lobster.

Burger was basic nothing super special or out of this world, in my opinion.

The filet mignon was really good but a bit overpriced given the size.

Service was good, the waiter was attentive and was super nice and accommodating.

Ambiance was upscale, which was not shocking given the prices.

Would I come here again? Probably not the portions are small for the price you pay, I might come back but for happy hour if that.

Just a side note: if you have a big party they add tip which is normal, but there is also a credit card charge. Which was a bit abnormal for me. I've never been charged a credit card fee in other steak houses.

My all time favorite prime rib spot in SF Bay Area. Seared Steakhouse in Petaluma seamlessly blends top-tier cuisine with a homey, inviting atmosphere, creating a dining experience that stands out in the Bay Area. Renowned for its juicy Wagyu Prime Rib, available only from Friday to Sunday, Seared's prime rib is an absolute must-try. Cooked to perfection and paired with a loaded twice-baked potato and creamed spinach, this dish will make you wish every day was the weekend.

The cocktail bar at Seared is equally impressive, offering a fantastic selection of barrel-aged classics and seasonal favorites that would make even the pickiest cocktail enthusiast swoon. Whether you're savoring a Fall Old Fashioned or a refreshing Cucumber Martini, each drink is crafted with meticulous care. Happy hour, from Tuesday to Sunday, is the ideal time to visit, with expertly mixed cocktails and a variety of mouthwatering bites like the Prime Rib Dip and crispy calamari that are sure to make your taste buds dance with joy.

What truly sets Seared apart, though, is its outstanding customer service. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring every detail of your dining experience is perfect. Manager Mary exemplifies this commitment to excellence, making sure that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of. The oysters, sourced locally from Tomales Bay, are fresh and briny, offering a delightful start to your meal and a taste of local flavor that's hard to beat. With excellent service, high-quality food, and a welcoming ambiance, Seared Steakhouse stands out as a premier dining choice in Petaluma. So, pull up a chair, grab a cocktail, and get ready for a meal that's as memorable as it is delicious.

I've been wanting to get back up to Petaluma and I particularly wanted to try out Seared Steak and Seafood.

I came on a Saturday night about an hour before they closed so the crowd had moved on to other locations so seating was easy. On this evening, I grabbed a seat at the bar and met some personable folks sharing their experiences in the area.

What was a pleasant surprise was the menu options and especially the pricing put a smile on my face compared to those in SF. The menu has a reasonable list of steak options and a lower amount of seafood choices.

This evening, I landed on the Filet Mignon an 8oz. CAB filet mignon, duck fat potatoes, creamed spinach, demi-glace, shallot + blue cheese butter. Very good quality and tasty! There are several other protein options and all very good price points. They have a full bar and some good choices of wines. What I found out is their happy hour is very popular starting from 3:30 pm - 6 pm and also have some very good options off the HH menu.

Though my visit was short but memorable I look forward to coming back again to make the happy hour.

Great Ambiance and service. Food was fantastic!!! We had a lot of food. Starred with Calamari and Truffle Fries then enjoyed the wagu ribeye and short RIB. Followed by donut holes and an Irish coffee

Their Happy Hour is one of the best in Petaluma that I have been to! It's a great spot for a quick bite, and they have delicious specialty cocktails as well as traditional ones. The Bon Vivant is an honorable mention, although I did not get it this time.

Our server this time was super kind and was cracking jokes, as well as super accommodating. This inside is adorable, I love the rustic decor.

This time I started with a margarita, a favorite of mine! I love that they only salt half the rim, so you don't have to have salt on every sip. It's not to sweet, which is perfect. I ordered the Prime Rib Dip, with shaved prime rib, jack cheese, caramelized onions, horseradish aioli, Della bread, and essential jus. It's a small happy hour portion, and it's the perfect size!

      I will definitely be returning!

I came here for Valentine's Day so I got the set menu, it was my first time here and I'm not sure if it was drastically different than the normal food and serves or not. But I would give this place a 10 if I could!
The server was so on it, as soon as we were done eating our plates were taken away and the next corse was brought out! It may be due to us coming on a set menu night, strongly recommend coming here for your next valentines date!
The food is delicious and so flavorful! And Im sure I will be back to try the normal menu!
