I may have been expecting too much, but for a hand car wash, a surprising amount was missed on the outside of my car...and the $5 super/quick shine is not evident or worth it. But if you want to avoid machines and are looking for someone to hand wash your car, this would be the place to go, given the limited options in Richmond!

=== 2. PRODUCT
Full-sized Car Wash ($36) includes:
- Pressure washer rinse.
- Hand scrub of your wheel rims.
- Hand wash and rinse of your car.
[Exit the car]
- Vacuum of the car's interior.
- Hand dry of the car's exterior and door jambs.
[Return to the car]

It was good, but they did seem to miss a number of spots on the back (around the car logos and license plate) as well as on the rims, despite the hand-oriented wash method.

I also paid $5 for the super quick shine - supposedly a spray on shine, but either they didn't put it on or I could not tell it was on when they finished drying my black car.

Service was pleasant and polite in English and Japanese. Speed was quite reasonable given the process and a small wait with other cars in front - about 25 minutes total.

=== 4. ENVIRONMENT
Getting and getting through the drive-thru nature of the business can seem cramped, likely for those with larger SUVs. A small but pleasant waiting room is available during the vacuum and hand dry portions of the car wash process. Those in a wheelchair or with a baby would likely have a challenge with the latter half of the wash process.

Scratched the living hell out of my brand new 2021 C43. This place is TERRIBLE. Whoever was washing my car left huge scratches on the back bumper that looked like someone had taken sand paper to it. There were multiple small scratches around the rest of the car as well as well as swirl marks. I could have gotten a better wash at a gas station! If you value your car DO NOT go here. I didn't notice until I got home since they hurried me out of the establishment after my car had been done as they work in an assembly-line fashion. I spoke to the owner about it and he denied all responsibility and said it was literally IMPOSSIBLE that his staff could've done any of this and treated me like a joke. I showed him over 10 other reviews of people saying they had their vehicles damaged and he said this exactly

"Why are you showing me this? Should I care?"

Absolute joke of a human being. People work very hard for their vehicles and property and when you damage it, you should at least be apologetic let alone responsible.

I purchased a $258, 3 months package at Sensha-ya Hand car wash on 6/20/2022, and started using it on the same day for the first time.

On 6/23/2022, I went there the second time for another cleanup because of the bird stuffs. Afterward, as I recognised I have already used a ticket 3 days ago, so I offered to pay cash for this occasion instead. The female staff went to checked the computer record, and indicated to me as I bought the package, and accept me to pay by deducting from it for the payment.
Later, when I was ready to leave, they notified me once again that I'm not allowed to reuse the package in less than a week. So I reiterated I'm willing to pay separately for this time, but they end up stuck with the same decision of settlement by deducting from the package.

Until 6/30/2022, after a week later, I went there for a car wash the 3rd time, and used the package to pay for the payment, the same female staff told me and quoted: "You've been here 3 times within the last 10 days, we have many members, and it doesn't work this way!" She refunded $200 to me, and then terminated my contract, without any further discussion!
Since I am a newly joined member, and willing to agreed with their rules & regulations. I'm extremely upset with their attitude and felt being unreasonably mistreated.

Once again, I felt extremely discomforted with the way she handled the situation, and definitely not recommended with this kind of attitude and dissatisfied with the conclusion of this incident.

My reviews disappeared.... what happened? Oh well. Maybe Yelp was doing some house cleaning . This is still my favorite place to take my baby for a clean now and then. Maybe I should bring the Porsche's here too? Japanese service. Japanese quality that I trust. But I try to go when they're not busy.

Gave them an opportunity but didn't take it. I wish i can give this a negative rating mostly on not having a customer first attitude.

I drive a coupe, rarely but once every now and then somebody would sit in the back seats. A week after the wash, somebody does and finds white stain white/bluish powdery cleanable stains all over their bottoms.

Gave the boss a call first, no really apologetic attitude but wasn't rude either and said I would come. I made a 10km drive as I don't live in the area anymore.

Let me summarize what the boss and the team said

-can't be us
-looks recent
-are you accusing us?
-you are accusing
-we are not responsible
-you pay we clean up
-we never climb into back seats
-you are assuming that it's us
-bottom line you pay we clean up
-you are wasting my time (boss)
-and you are wasting your time (boss)
-find prove
-get a third icbc opinion

The boss represents the business, and that's when I realize that's the direction of the business and said fine and walked off. As a customer I never really felt in any way that I was welcome in bringing this problem to their attention. When right off the bat I said I am not here to find blame I need to find a solution. I can appreciate how they choose to run their business for charging to fix this but in a competitive market and in a customer centric era this attitude just doesn't fly.

So my takeaways are there were no accusations from my part I said many times the boss seems to be defensive. I said what I know, I discovered this powdery stuff at a time period after the car wash. The boss says it's not them either, so the options are they never clean/wipe back seats or windows, or they did and left some cleanable stains, or i did it in my sleep.

And that brings me out as something like 5+ years
as a customer. I urge you to try them, but make sure you do a thorough check all around your car before you leave, because if you dont and something happens you will be in my position and that's a wrap.

The owner is a jerk, just wanted my car washed and detailed. When I asked him that I need the inside cleaned and detailed. He kept saying this is a different service. So I said ok. Let's get it done. I pairs $44 dollars plus tax it was done in no time without detail. When I said I came in to get my car detailed he said different service extra charge. If I am already asking for the service do you think I am worried about the extra charge? Then I was told there not enough time to do it now. Terrible service really bad attitude pore excuse for a owner. Never going back there again.

Wash itself is ok, but the service is not so great and $30+tax is a bit much for a regular car wash. Outside wash is decent with everything done by hand. Interior cleaning is just focusing on windows mostly as the vacuuming and actual cleaning was almost like not done at all.

After my wash, I was trying to adjust my seats again as both the driver and passenger seats were left pulled all the way to the front and almost fully folded. As I was trying to adjust the seats, the employee in the car behind me obnoxiously kept honking to tell me to keep moving... Mind you this is a small place that doesn't really have room to pull over.

I'm not sure when the grand opening is but today (March 17) and tomorrow they are offering free car washes from 11:00am to 5:00pm.

I happened to be in the area and thought, "Why not?"

According to the sign, a car wash for a 2-door coupe or 4-door sedan is $25.

I didn't get her name, but one of the girls working there told us that they were offering free car washes as a practice run. She also asked for any feedback we had. We pointed out that there was still soap on the driver's side mirror and she took care of it.

For their first day, they did a good job. I'll probably check them out again once they're fully up and running.
