Sewer Rat

On new years eve 2015, the amazing woman who answeres the phone, sorry I forgot your name. She did whatever she could to get someone out to the house and snake our drain. It's a 2 man job because they have to go through the roof. If they had to come the next day it would have cost more because of the holiday and she really tried to save me some money.
Now it's November 5th 2016 and I'm about to have surgery and we need the drain snaked again! And if anyone has had to prepare for surgery you know that you really need a working toilet! This wonderful woman is doing her best to get someone out to save the day again! She is a real human and understands that needs and really tries to help you. I would highly recommend this company and they are really reasonably priced. More than I can say for the comparison out there. The other companies I called totally tried to jack me. I'm a single mom and I was being extorted because I was alone. One guy wanted to tear apart my bathroom to snake a drain and charge me $1000 no way. But sewer rat, they never tried to take advantage of me and I was comfortable with the gentleman who snaked the drain. Vary important if it's just you and your child.

They were timely for the appointment. Also the tech was experienced and knowledgeable. Walked through every step of the process.

After repeated water backups, Sewer Rat did a video inspection and showed me where roots were filling up the clay pipes. We hired Sewer Rat to install a new pipe through the old one. No trenches. Work was completed in one day. We are very pleased.

Awesome service always. This is the best plumber in the Bay Area. We called on Monday morning because our kitchen sink was clogged. By 3:30 pm our sink was unclogged!

They are a little more expensive, but on the plus side if it's an emergency they our out super fast and correct the problem very quickly. Donie came out today, and he's a really super, professional and personable guy. Highly recommended if you're in a crunch like we were. The dispatch/scheduler was terrific and easy to work with.

We used Sewer Rat a couple of times in the past. Should have checked recent reviews. I just had new grout put in a shower so was sparkling clean. It was draining, but slowly. Appt. was arranged in timely manner & tech arrived within window. He didn't give his name. After 40 min. he informed me it was now totally plugged, probably from rust. He gave me with no suggestions on how to fix the problem. What upset me was the horrible mess --- closed to two inches of rusty, brown water in the bottom of the shower. When I questioned him, his response was "it wasn't working before". I talked to Debbie in the office & her response was the same. When I asked if I had to be the one to clean up the mess, she answered " I can have the supervisor call you next week."
Cross them off your list. Never again.

My friend had her sewer line renewed with Sewer Rats, and recommended me for it's s good service and reasonable price. They were on time for the estimate and I was contacted very soon with the quote. They are nice people.

Happy with their service. I have used SW twice this year for various issues. Both times the guys were knowledgeable and did a great job.

It is strange that I am giving a five star rating when I actually didn't receive any service but I have to give technician Mike Castle five stars for being such a fair guy. Another contractor had noticed some rot in my garage ceiling and and told me that I needed a new wax ring for my toilet. I called Sewer Rat and Mike came out and said that there was no active leak so the toilet didn't need anything. He didn't charge me for the drive out when just about any other contractor would have charged me for showing up. Just a nice thing to do. Also a good reminder that contractors shouldn't diagnose problems outside their field.

Had a clogged bathtub, and guests arriving in a few hours. "Sewer Rat" representative Mike Castle, was able to get over in about an hour, handled things easily and professionally. Cost was fair, and I'd definitely recommend or call again, should the need arise.

Called in for an estimate, the crew showed up on time, was given estimate and within 20 minutes the problem was solved. They guys are great!
I had gotten several estimates which was much higher theirs. I called San Mateo Public Works and I got their name as a referral. Good Job
