      My advice if u got any brains listen to me

      avoid the buses that run through the ghettos in san francisco/ it is a waste of time

      I was riding the 21 I rarely ride it but sometimes people blast music I swore some African Americans made feel intimidated and uncomfortable.

      If u do ride ride it on busy crowds carry pepper spray if don't need to ride get a small car.

      Terrible organization. OMG! If you get a parking citation, SFMTA says the following on their website -

      CONTEST YOUR CITATION (SUBMIT A PROTEST)
      Parking or Transit Violation Citations must be protested within 21 days from the date the ticket is issued or from the date of the first courtesy notice. Protests will not be considered after that period of time has expired. Do not pay your citation if you wish to protest it.

      And so, in trusting what they say, you go ahead and submit a protest to your citation in writing. You try and be honest. Make a genuine and honest request for getting your citation dismissed.

      And what happens? Meh, not a darn thing. They simply don't care. There is not even a 1% chance of them dismissing your ticket. So then why give people this hope, by asking them to protest in writing, when SFMTA will not even consider it?

      Every City, County and State job should be privatized. Then this sort of callous response and behavior by these government employees would NEVER EVER HAPPEN! Why, you ask? Because people would take their money and business elsewhere. Government employees should all be dismissed, and all of these organizations would overnight be privatized. No more 1 and 2 * reviews ever. These very same organizations would become 5*'s over night. I am willing to bet any amount of money on that!!!

      Our city rewards incompetence. This agency is useless, unhelpful, failing at basic public safety, and yet has an enormous budget. It's an embarrassing yet all too common story in SF where we reward bad organizations.

      It's fees like this why many San Franciscan's can't afford living in the Bay Area. $90 for a street cleaning violation? Really? That's almost 5hrs of work @ minimum wage for most of us.

      The online system to pay parking citations is currently down. Phone payment system is down also. I'm not sure what these geniuses get paid to do. CS is trash.
      A nice lady on the general 311 line summed it up like this: "they are having issues in that department"... Ya think me kind lady?

      So I went to get disabled muni pass. I forgot I had one previously. They literally called me 2 hours after I had been to the location in Van Ness. He said he would send a new card to my new address. Funny thing is I got a call 2 minutes later about my application for the new pass. I politely told the lady and gentleman had just called me and was sending a new one to my place. She told me to have a nice day. Great customer service!!! Thanks so much for making my day.

      We purchased 2 all day tickets while in SF. We waited at the Powell Hyde station in Ghirardelli Square for over 2.5 hours, still no ride. The line was not long, it was mid morning (10am ish) and the cars were not running, but the workers were having a great time talking to each other. After 2.5 hours waiting, I asked how long until we get a ride, the conductor stated, "at least 45 minutes". That wasn't going to work for us, we had a flight to catch. I asked for a refund since they couldn't render the purchased services in a reasonable time. The kiosk lady was less than helpful and seemed unhappy with her career of choice.

      I contacted SFMTA to get a refund, they're also unhelpful. See image. I'm sorry, SFMTA, if you sell a service and your staff fail to provide the service that was purchased and do not provide a refund; that's theft!

      SFMATA employees would benefit from additional customer service training as there have been instances where their conduct has been perceived as ineffective, authoritarian, and self-serving. During a recent visit to San Francisco with my family on a Sunday afternoon, I encountered an incident where an SFMATA traffic controller issued a ticket for pulling up in a bus zone to navigate through traffic.

      We are paying to park, but still ending up with a ticket. SFMTA made so many errors with these citations, please see photo I posted. You can request a hearing but they will say you paid the wrong meter. No justice at SFMTA.

      SFMTA gave me a citation for expired meter even though it is not.  No justice at SFMTA.

      Did you know if your homeless or of low income your tickets are Penny's on the dollars compared to tax payers so when you go there wear some oversized Kroks and a pair of dirty sweats . Oh yea the phone service and the website is down so you can't pay online . But guess what isn't .
      THE LATE FEE Added on to your ticket for not paying on time . This place is the worst
